Last month, The Pumpkin Batch's price changed, so there was another flier in the box mentioning that change, along with the normal information sheet with details about the products. I also received a separate flyer and coupon for the granola included in the box!
Skillet Brown Sugar & Apple Vinegar Pumpkin Ketchup - $4.50
This was really interesting! I am generally not a ketchup person. This was a bit thicker and chunkier than a standard ketchup. The flavors were excellent - it has cinnamon and nutmeg in it, to compliment the pumpkin and a bit of onion powder and vegan Worcestershire powder to add some tang. Am I a ketchup person after this? No, not really, but I would eat this again with some sweet potato fries for sure.
Super Seedz Gourmet Pumpkin Seeds - Sea Salt - $2.00
Super Seedz Gourmet Pumpkin Seeds - Somewhat Spicy - $2.00
I enjoyed these as a somewhat guilt free salty snack during the day! They are perfectly salted and free of gluten, peanuts, tree nuts, egg, diary, fish, shellfish, and soy. I didn't find the spicy ones unbearable - just a light spicy flavor that adds a nice zing!
Viveltre Pumpkin Spice S'more in a Jar - 9.99
People - this was outstanding! The flavors went so well together - this has layers of pumpkin marshmallow, chocolate cream, and graham crackers. This was made specially for the Pumpkin Batch, so you won't find this on the company's site, but you will find gems like Caramel Blondie 7-layer s'more and Chocolate Seduction 7-layer s'more.
Columbia County Bread Company Pumpkin Spice Flax Granola - $10.00
This granola is paleo and includes pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, sunflower seeds and organic raisins, along with molasses and some spices! This is gluten free, non-gmo, and has no trans fat. The Pumpkin Batch also mentions that this has no added sugar, but isn't molasses technically added sugar? I'm not sure about that one. Despite that, this was really great granola, I enjoyed this with some Greek yogurt for breakfast!
Verdict: This box has a value of about $28.49, which definitely meets the cost of the box. All of the items felt nice and summery: ketchup for a nice addition to any BBQ, pumpkin seeds and granola for a hike or a picnic, and a nice s'more to finish it all up. I always enjoy my The Pumpkin Batch boxes and they always seem like they are a good value for anyone that loves pumpkin all year round!
