This month was the one year birthday of Pumpkin Batch, so they curated a Birthday Celebration box!
The Invisible Chef - Pumpkin Cupcake Kit - $9.95
This cupcake kit included a cake mix and a cream cheese frosting mix. The cupcake mix required 2 eggs, 1/2 cup of butter, and 1/2 cup of milk and the frosting required cream cheese, butter, and cream. I made these quite quickly, and they came out really great. My house smelled like fall and Thanksgiving. The cupcake itself was a bit dry, and I baked it on the lower end of the timing recommended.
Festive Pan Liners - $1.40
These came a bit smooshed in the box, which meant it was a bit hard to use them as intended for the cupcakes. I received 1 dozen liners, which was nice since the cupcake mix made 1 dozen cupcakes.
Salty Road Pumpkin Pie Salt Water Taffy - $7.00
I've received Salty Road Taffy in several of my boxes, and I really enjoy it. The taffy is always really fresh and soft and the flavors are great. This one did not disappoint. The pumpkin pie flavor came through nicely.
Pumpkin Caramel Latte Whipped Soap by Bath Thyme Boutique - $7.50
This soap really smells like a PSL with caramel - with a little soap thrown in. The soap itself is really moisturizing and I enjoyed using it. The only downside is how heavily scented it is. The scent does seem to last for a while - I would definitely prefer this soap in a lighter scent! I've included a picture of the soap below...just look at that texture!
Two Moon Shortbread - Pumpkin Spice - $3.00
Two Moon Shortbread really is top notch - it's delicious. In Pumpkin Spice, it's even better. The shortbread was perfectly buttery and flaky and the pumpkin spice flavor worked really well with shortbread. I enjoyed these with some tea for an afternoon snack!
Verdict: The Pumpkin Batch was just as great as the others I've received. I loved everything, with the exception of how strongly scented the soap was. The cupcakes came out great - and it was nice to get a hint of fall that seems way too far away right now here in So. Cal. The total value of the box is about $28.85, which is about what I've come to expect with this box.
