OrangeGlad-April-2016-Candy

Raley's Citrus Mix Rock Candy (3 oz.) - $5

I received this item in last September’s Orange Glad box, so I’m a little surprised to see it featured again. I enjoyed these citrus candies, though, so I’m not disappointed.

OrangeGlad-April-2016-Caramels

La Petite Occasion Salted Milk Chocolate Caramels (2 oz.?) - $4.13?

Caramels often pop up in Orange Glad boxes (actually, it’s pretty rare to receive a box without any), and, luckily, they’re one of my favorite treats. These are creamy and rich, with a nice salty chocolate flavor. FYI- There isn’t a size listed on this package, so I’ve estimated the weight and value.

OrangeGlad-April-2016-Biscotti

Soft-Baked Original Biscotti by Marlo's BakeShop (1.25 oz.)- $1.50

Marlo’s BakeShop’s “Original” flavor biscotti is a mix of chocolate-covered raisins, walnuts, and chocolate chips with a cinnamon sugar topping. My husband is a big fan of biscotti, so he immediately claimed this treat. He ate it with a cup of tea and gave it two thumbs up.

OrangeGlad-April-2016-Waffle

Le Waf Leige Waffle (3.5 oz.)- $4

This is a pretty good-sized waffle! Orange Glad recommends heating it up in the microwave for 15 seconds before eating, and I definitely agree. I took a nibble before heating it up, and I prefer it warm.

OrangeGlad-April-2016-Crispery

The Crispery Chocolate Sprinkles Crispycakes (6 oz.)- $4.25

Speaking of good-sized treats- this Crispycake is HUGE. I’m not sure if you can tell from the unboxing photos, but it takes up almost half of the box!

OrangeGlad-April-2016-CrisperyFront

It’s soft and gooey, with a nice crunch from the puffed rice cereal. Rice crispy treats aren’t usually one of my favorite snacks, but this is just too much fun to eat. Orange Glad recommends cutting it into bite-sized pieces, but I say just go for it.

Verdict: Wow, this might be my favorite OrangeGlad Sweet Box yet! I really enjoyed the waffle, citrus candies, and crispycake, and I love that the box was full of so many large treats. Value wise, the retail cost of the items in the box is just under $19. Since that breaks even with the cost of the box, I’m pleased with the value, too.

That rice crispy treat with the sprinkles was amazing! I only subbed because I got the deal where I could get the March box free with the April box and I’ve enjoyed both so far! I need to be strong though and cancel like I promised myself I would.

This was my least favorite box in the 9 months I’ve subbed. It’s just too repetitive. We’ve gotten salted caramels, rice krispy treats, citrus candy and biscotti (which I hate) many times before, even from the same companies. I love sweets so it’s hard to say goodbye, but I think it might be time. 🙁

I agree I want sweet boxes to be a treat! Hard candies, Carmels and biscotti and crispy cakes have all been in previous boxes! How uninspired 🙁

This looks like a good month for Orange Glad. I subbed for a bit but the cost was just too much for me, plus I got really sick of shortbread.

This was my first month and it was perfect for me-I love crispery cakes, biscotti and I love waffles! I also liked the caramels and the sour candy is not my usual taste in candy but it is very flavorful and good. Im happy with what I got.
