This month, Andrew, the one behind Monthly Pepper Box, sent a little note saying this month they sent me a box filled with some of the best from their past boxes.

High Octane Sauce Co. - Peach Bowl Speedway - $6.00

This was my favorite of the the three sauces I was sent.  It has an amazingly sweet, hot flavor that is just delicious!  I really enjoyed this one!  Even though I'm not a meat eater, I think this would be pretty good with chicken!

MP4

Elijah's Xtreme - Ghost Pepper Sauce - $8.99

Yeah, this one was hot.  The first taste, I was like "Eh, not that hot."  People, the flames grew.  I tried bread, and a mango.  It eventually died down, but this was pretty hot.  I don't know how much of a sissy I am though, so maybe for you people that eat super hot stuff regularly, it would be like drinking water.  I don't know!

MP5

Bravado Spice Co. - Ghost Pepper & Blueberry Hot Sauce - $5.99

I text a picture of this one to my friend, and said: "This sounds delicious, but what should I eat it with?"  Her response was: "Ghost pepper and BLUEBERRY?  Who on earth thought 'hmm I wonder what blueberry would taste good with??? Ohhh yes! The fires of Hell!!!!!!!'" I'll tell you who thought of it though - a genius.  This stuff has such an amazing flavor, and I love it!  I still just don't know what to eat it with. LOL

Verdict:  This box has a value of $20.98, which meets the cost of the box, but not the cost of the box plus shipping.  I'm happy with this though, since I would never go out and find new hot sauces, and I'm being introduced to three new delicious sauces, plus three new companies to check out.  Getting three hot sauces for $8.03 each isn't bad - especially when they're from smaller brands that aren't quite as well known.  I love this box especially because I'm a huge fan of fruit and heat together.

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane...the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane...but she's always looking for a new subscription to try!

Pour it over a brick of cream cheese and eat it as a dip with crackers.

I find it strange they sent you an expired product (the Elijah one has the expiration date visible, not sure of the others)….be careful, while I am sure it is ok to eat, peppers heat up with time so the sauces may be hotter than intended.

Good catch. I thought the bottle looked worn but didn’t see the date until you posted.

Also, I don’t think hot sauce works as a monthly box. Even a fan would find it hard to go through that much on a regular basis.

Hey Bekki- I bet the Blueberry & Ghost Pepper hot sauce would be fantastic on a grilled cheese… maybe brie? 🙂
