Loot Wear by Loot Crate
3.3 overall rating

Loot Crate recently began offering a separate subscription from their monthly boxes called Level Up. The items sent in their Level UP subscriptions are not repetitive products from their monthly boxes but do tie into the same monthly themes. There are 5 different subscription plans, each offer a different curation of products: Level Up Wearable, Level Up Socks, Level Up Shirt, Level Up Accessories, and Level Up Bundle (Level Up Bundle is a combination of the Wearable and the Socks subscriptions).

This is a review of all four different LVL UP subs – the Wearable, Shirt, Socks, and Accessories subscriptions.

Here’s the February LVL UP Accessories…

LVL UP MARCH 2016 - items 1

Exclusive Batman/Superman/Wonder Woman Hair Ties – value: $3?

These are cute. I don’t wear this kind of hair ties (they just don’t stay in my hair well), but I know my sister will love them!

Exclusive Batman vs Superman Bestie Necklace – value: $18?

I always like the jewelry from LootCrate. It’s always good quality. This has a really nice weight to it and I like the designs.

Now for the LVL UP Socks…

LVL UP MARCH 2016 - items 2

Exclusive Mario & Bowser Socks value: $12?

These are great! I love how they’re double-sided. They’re also super thick!

LVL UP MARCH 2016 - items 3

Exclusive Agents of SHIELD vs Hydra Casual Crew Socks – value: $8?

I like that they pulled from one of my current favorite shows for this “vs” item. Also a part of me likes how they’re easily wearable black socks, but also have a subtle/not all-over geeky touch.

LVL UP MARCH 2016 - info 5

Exclusive “You Sank My Battleship!” T-Shirt – value: $20?

LVL UP MARCH 2016 - items 4

I think this t shirt is really cute – I like the colors a lot. Plus, I think it fits very well!

LVL UP MARCH 2016 - info 6

Exclusive Captain America vs Iron Man Long Sleeve Shirt – value: $30?

LVL UP MARCH 2016 - items 5

Introducing: my husband, Luke! Haha, this is his official MSA debut in my reviews. I think this is a great shirt for the wearable this month. I know the Captain America Civil War movie is going to be a big deal when it releases on May 6, so this will be fun for my husband to wear to the midnight showing!

Verdict: I think Loot Crate’s Level Up collections are a fun way to snag geeky merch! Everything always seems very good quality and I think you get a nice value for what you pay for each subscription. My values are estimates since EVERYTHING this month was exclusive to Loot Crate, but I estimate about $91 in products for the $48.96 cost of all four Level Up Subs totaled (Wearables, Accessories, Shirt, and Socks subscriptions).

Thanks for putting this together.

My husband got me the accessories level up for the first time this month, and I was REALLY impressed. I love geeky accessories, but most novelty jewelry I’ve found is VERY cheaply made…the chains snap within a day or two, sequins fall off, etc.

By contrast, the weight of these necklaces was awesome and the chains feel just as sturdy as my more expensive, “normal” costume jewelry. I was so happy with the accessories that I went ahead and subbed to all of the level ups!

Can you still order the March Level Up Wearbable bundle?

Eric

I don’t believe so. From what I understand the 20th is the cutoff each month, for that month’s theme across Level Up, Loot Pets, and the core crate.

I want that Captain America/ Iron Man shirt so bad.

You can buy the shirt from lootcrate’s ‘gift shop’. You can buy most of their level up items, but often they cost a little more plus shipping ontop.

While I do like this top I think this one is a bit better and easier to read due to the extra outline.

I LOVED this month’s level up. The Mario socks are a really high quality & the Captain America/Iron Man shirt is like one of those images where you look at it one way and see one thing (like the duck/rabbit image) and look at it another and see something else. I didn’t even realize it at first. I was cruising around the house thinking I was rocking out Captain America and my husband said, “That’s a cool Iron Man shirt.” After a heated discussion we figured out the letters read Captain America one way and Iron Man the other. So cool!

That’s funny! I thought it said both but I couldn’t see Captain America for the longest time, lol. I had to stare at the picture for a long time.
