Love with Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon – July 2015 - Brochure

Each box comes with a brochure detailing the theme and the items selected for the month. This month’s theme is “Surfin’ USA.”

Love with Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon – July 2015 - FoldOut

The brochure provides a quick description of the items included in the box and clearly outlines which items are gluten-free, vegan, non-GMO, etc. I like that they display this information so prominently.

Love with Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon – July 2015 - Chips

One Potato Two Potato Hawaiian BBQ Chips (2 oz)- $.99

I’m a fan of One Potato Two Potato Chips, and their Hawaiian BBQ flavor is one of my favorites. It’s sweet, smoky, and tangy, and I think it’s a clever twist on a classic potato chip flavor. Their kettle-cooked chips are all natural, gluten free, non-GMO, and made without MSG. I love their packaging, too. I mean, who can resist a picture of a happy potato in a grass skirt?

Oatmeal Blueberry Acai Flax Fruit Squeeze Munk Pack (4.2 oz)- $2.50

I’ve tried fruit squeeze packs before, but this is my first time trying one containing oatmeal. I was a little concerned that the oatmeal would give the product an unappealing texture (I can be a little funny about oatmeal if it’s too gelatinous…), but I didn’t find that to be the case at all. It’s a little thicker than similar products I’ve had in the past, but I liked the consistency and really enjoyed the flavor. I tried this when I was too busy to grab lunch one day, and it kept me going until dinner.

Love with Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon – July 2015 - HoneyStinger

Honey Stinger Kid's Sour Citrus Organic Chews (.8 oz)- $1.04

Honey Stinger’s chews have a soft, gummy consistency and come in a range of citrusy flavors that all also have the unmistakable flavor of honey. They’re some of the best-tasting gummies I’ve ever had, and I love that they’re formulated with vitamin C, potassium, fiber, and protein.

Bear Naked Coconut Almond Curry Granola (1.2 oz)- $.59

In keeping with the theme of this box, Love with Food selected granola with coconut and curry to reference exotic beach destinations like Bali. I’m a fan of Bear Naked granola, but I haven’t seen this flavor before. I like it, so I’ll keep an eye out for it from now on.

Love with Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon – July 2015 - TrueCitrus

Lemon Almond Biscotti by Biscotti Di Suzy (1 small cookie)- $.40?

Biscotti Di Suzy cookies come in a few different sizes. The cookie I received measures approximately 3”, which I believe is the medium size they offer. It’s the perfect size to accompany an afternoon cup of tea (so often, it seems, biscotti cookies are huge!), and I really like the lemony flavor. The texture is nice too- crisp without being too hard.

True Citrus Packets (4 packets in Lime, Lemon, Grapefruit, and Orange)- $.16

True Citrus Packets allow you to easily add the flavor of lime, lemon, grapefruit, or orange into beverages like water, tea, and cocktails. You can also use them as a seasoning for cooking, so I think I might try using the True Lemon to make a lemon pepper rub for chicken.

Love with Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon – July 2015 - GleePop

Bare Crunchy Coconut Chips (.35 oz)- $.75?

I first tried coconut chips when POPSUGAR Must Have sent Dang Chips in their July 2014 box. It was love at first crunch, and I’ve been a devoted fan ever since. This version from Bare is crisp, rich, and delicious- I only wish the pack was bigger!

Glee Gum Pop (1 lollipop)- $.46

I’m a sucker for Blow Pops (pun intended), so I’m thrilled to see there’s a 100% natural alternative. Glee Gum Pops come in three flavors: Sweet Strawberry, Crisp Green Apple, and Juicy Orange. I received the strawberry and really enjoyed it. I haven’t seen these for sale in any of my local stores, and I’m extremely tempted to buy more through their site.

Love with Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon – July 2015 - Coupons

As always, Love with Food also included a number of coupons and promotional materials to accompany the products in this month’s box. One of the coupons this month is good for a FREE Lean Cuisine entrée (up to $3.99 value)!

Verdict: I think this is one of my favorite Love with Food tasting boxes of all time! I loved the Glee Gum Pop and the Honey Stinger Chews, and I think it’s fantastic that there’s a coupon for a free Lean Cuisine entrée. Love with Food recently lowered prices on all of their boxes, and the Tasting Box is now $9.99 per month or $7.99 per month with an annual subscription. The value this month comes in at almost $11 (including the coupon for the Lean Cuisine entrée), which is an excellent value. Since their price adjustment a few months ago, I think Love with Food has been knocking it out of the park!

What do you think about the July Love with Food box?

I currently subscribe to the 3-month Deluxe box that I got through a Groupon. I will be subscribing to the regular box once this one has run its course. I love the monthly selection from this company – it’s one of my top 3 favorite sub boxes of all time.

With the Deluxe box (I really recommend jumping on that 3-month Groupon when it comes around), I got 2 of the BBQ chips, 2 lollipops, double the TrueLemon products, 2 biscotti, 2 Bear Naked granola, the coconut chips, free Lean Cuisine coupon PLUS a bag of banana chips, a package of roasted seaweed snack, SunRype fruit strip, and 2 packets of organic fruit snacks.

This box did not come with the Honey Stinger Chews (bummer) or the Fruit Squeeze drink.

Another thing I really like about the options in a Love with Food box is that you don’t have to worry about things expiring next month or too soon – most products offer expiration dates into 2016.

I have been a subscriber to Love with Food for several months now. In general, I’ve had no problem with their packaging or products but this month I was missing two of their products in my box. 🙁 The lollipop (which was a preview item) and the gummies as well. I sent a message the same day to their customer service and they just added points to my account instead of sending the items. I’m a little disappointed by that, as I lost out on two of the items that were supposed to be in my box, but the rest of the stuff in the box was delicious so I guess that makes up for it.
