When you sign up, you fill out an extensive style profile. They ask what kind of items you would like to receive along with size, color, style, and price point preferences. Each category is ranked with a like, dislike, or love. There is also a space to leave notes for your stylist. By the end, your stylist should have a very good idea of what you like and don’t like.

Wantable Style Edit February 2018 Review

I didn’t have a chance to include feedback before I returned my items last month so let’s see how that reflects on this month’s shipment.

Each edit includes a booklet with a note from your stylist and an invoice. This month, my stylist Natalia sent me 6 clothing items and 1 accessory.

And here’s my invoice. If I were to keep the entire box, the $489 total would be discounted $117.80 (20% off + $20 styling fee deducted) for a total of $371.20. With this discount, each item would cost an average of $53.03.

Wantable also includes a prepaid return envelope for any items I don’t want to keep.

Good to know: Wantable Style Edit now offers a package frequency option. You can receive edits when you want, whether that’s ongoing, seasonal, or on demand. They included a nice card to explain.

Also, Wantable has recently revamped their Stream feature. Now you can request or decline items that you want/don’t want to try.

Z Supply - Washed Cotton Pocket Tee, Grey

Z Supply - Washed Cotton Pocket Tee, Grey, Size M - Cost to Keep: $40 (Return)

I have a friend that loves her Z Supply tees and I see why. I love the thick, soft fabric with the weathered look. The longer curved hem, v-neck, and looser cut around the waist are all flattering. The reason I’m not keeping it is that I just can’t help but to think the pocket makes the right side of my chest look droopy. It is just a little too raw and elongated to be flattering on me. It probably looks a lot less noticeable in black or white though.

Dear John - Gisele Skinny Karma

Dear John - Gisele Skinny Karma, Size 28 - Cost to Keep: $88 (Return)

So, in general, I really liked these jeans. The dark wash is my favorite and I like the skinny leg and mid-rise waist. The pocket placement and simple details on the back are flattering too. The problem here is that these fit at least a couple of sizes too big. I know jeans stretch out after a couple of wears and I don't want to start with them being baggy. I still haven’t figured out my perfect size in EU sizes but it seems like it will just depend on each specific pair.

Coalition - The Giving Coat, Olive

Coalition - The Giving Coat, Olive, Size M - Cost to Keep: $78 (Return)

I feel like I’m being swallowed by this coat. It’s quite boxy and I could have sized down a size or two. I’m not crazy about the cargo pockets either. It is nice quality though with lining all the way throughout and nice metal details. There is a cord around the waist that cinches it in and it does improve the overall fit. It still not flattering enough for me to justify a purchase.

W. by Wantable - Ruched Side Rib Top, Burgundy

W. by Wantable - Ruched Side Rib Top, Burgundy, Size M - Cost to Keep: $48 (Return)

This is a lightweight, ribbed shirt with ruching detail on the sides at the waist. The modal/spandex fabric is slinky and smooth with lots of stretch. While the ruching does give the shirt some visual interest, it still doesn’t excite me enough to purchase.

W. by Wantable - Intermingle Bell Sleeve Top, Black

W. by Wantable - Intermingle Bell Sleeve Top, Black, Size M - Cost to Keep: $58 (Return)

The rayon/poly/spandex blend makes this top super soft. The sleeves have a bell shape that is gathered right above the elbow. And, now that I’m looking at the pictures, I see that it is a little sheer. I like where it hits at the hip and how drapey the material is but, again, it doesn’t wow me enough to keep it.

Kut From The Kloth - Catherine Boyfriend in Allowing Wash

Kut From The Kloth - Catherine Boyfriend in Allowing Wash, Size 6 - Cost to Keep: $89 (Return)

I kind of liked these, but then my husband stepped in and said he thought they weren’t very flattering. I think he just isn’t used to me wearing distressed jeans or ankle length bottoms. Which makes a good point, I don’t wear them, which is why I’m going to let these go. The denim is super comfortable though and is made of 99% cotton and 1% spandex, so it has a little stretch while still feeling supportive. Also, the cuffs can be rolled down to make these full length.

Remi & Reid - Departure Tote Linen Texture, Teal/Nude

And here we have the winner for the month. This is the first accessory I’ve received from Wantable and it couldn’t have come at a better time. I have been looking for a cute tote for my upcoming trip and not only is this a tote but it comes with a pouch that doubles as a crossbody bag. The pouch has plenty of pockets and a removable, adjustable strap. The material is a vegan leather with a linen texture and is teal on one side and nude on the other because, guess what, it’s reversible! I love the teal color and the metal accents too.

The Verdict: It is so convenient to be able to try on clothes on at home, with my existing wardrobe, and on my own time. Plus, it is so fun to receive so many items! While everything fit within my style profile, some of them weren’t quite me. And, some of them fit larger than expected. I’ll make sure to leave feedback this month to help the stylists fine-tune their selections for me. Since I only kept 1 item, I didn’t receive the 20% discount, but my $20 styling fee was applied to my purchase. For $20 a month (which also includes free shipping and returns), Wantable Style Edit is a low-risk way of shopping for clothes in the comfort of your home.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Wantable curates its boxes based on each individual’s preferences as well as what’s available. What you get might not be the same as what I got, but you also might get something that fits your style and body even better than the looks above! Sign up and see what they choose for you!

Value Breakdown: This box cost $20.00 with free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the items inside was $489. The cost of each item is listed alongside it above, but if I choose to keep at least 5 items, I get a 20% discount. The $20.00 cost of the box would also be applied to the purchase, meaning I’d end up spending $371.20 for the whole box.

Great review! I’ve lost weight recently and am still losing (I think!) and would like to try a clothing subscription when I’m at my target size. Your set this month was pretty underwhelming, a mix of sloppy, unfinished items with the others being just too bland. I agree with your decision to keep the bag, though. That was cute!
