Heart + Honey Couples Box January 2018 Review

I'm really familiar with the Queen Bee Box already, but this is the first time I've received the Couples Box! It's packed with all sorts of goodies that you and your partner can enjoy together in a "Lover's Ceremony". Instead of having a theme each month, you'll first receive a sort of "welcome" box your first month as a starting point, and the future months will gradually get a little spicer as you build intimacy between the two of you. It's good to note that there are currently two options for this box: male/female couples and female/female couples, so you can choose your preference.

There are so many fun items in this one, so let's dive in!

First, a welcome card with a handwritten note from H+H. Awww thanks!

There's a card full of great info on each item included and suggestions on how to enjoy it.

Buddha Teas Chai Tea box Buddha Teas Chai Tea box with two bags outside Buddha Teas Chai Tea bag

Buddha Teas Chai Tea, box of 18 tea bags - Retail Value $9.99 (found here for $7.99)

The first item sets the mood with some nice quality chai tea from Buddha Teas. This tea is subtly spicy and makes me feel warm and fuzzy all over. You get a full-size box with 18 tea bags so you can enjoy 9 cups of this delicious tea together. 🙂

Raaka Pink Sea Salt Virgin Chocolate, 2 1.8 oz. bars - Total Retail Value $15.90 ($7.95 each)

I immediately recognized this brand because I actually went to their chocolate factory in Brooklyn, NY about a year and a half ago when visiting a friend! How cool! This is the first time I've had their pink sea salt flavor though, which is super salty and a perfect marriage with the 71% cacao. I like that H+H sent two bars so you don't have to share (or so you can eat both if you don't currently have someone to share with).

Kama Sutra Arouse Intensifying Warming Gel, 1.4 oz. - Retail Value $18.99

For the ladies, this warming gel is meant to intensify your partner's touch with the help of spicy cinnamon. The more friction that's applied, the warmer this will feel, but be sure to keep on the outside of your body. I didn't get much of a scent but did immediately feel the warmth when I applied this to my skin. Luckily, it doesn't cause much of a mess either.

Kama Sutra Pleasure Balm Prolonging Gel - Retail Value $14.62

For the dudes (but actually, for the ladies too), we have a pleasure balm that desensitizes their parts so that they can last longer than usual and keep on keepin' on. This one has all sorts of drug facts listed on the back, unlike the other product from Kama Sutra, so I'd definitely check that out before slathering it on. I polled a few of my male friends to see if they'd try something like this with their partner and most of them seemed pretty open to it.

DONA Let Me Kiss You Kissable Massage Oil set 3 bottles of DONA Let Me Kiss You Kissable Massage Oil back of DONA Let Me Kiss You Kissable Massage Oil set

DONA Let Me Kiss You Kissable Massage Oil Set - Retail Value $14.99

The next product is for everyone- a set of three different flavors of massage oil. I tested out the Vanilla Buttercream first and found it to be slippery without being oily at all. It smelled sweet, like its name would suggest, but I didn't get much of a flavor. My guess is that these aren't meant to be heavily flavored, but just not harmful to get up close and personal with if you want to smooch your partner all over. The Strawberry Souffle proved to be even more decadent-smelling than the first, and I was surprised to find that the Chocolate Mousse ended up being my favorite (mainly because it smells like a liqueur). Overall- this is a fun little set to use an excuse to get a bit slippery with the one you fancy.

Rianne S Ana's Trilogy Kit

Ana's Trilogy Kit II by Rianne S - Retail Value $30.00

The next item is like a naughty subscription box all on its own.

Rianne S Ana's Trilogy Kit with lid off

I popped the top off to find three items.

The full set includes a black lace mask, nipple jewelry, and a posterior plug bedazzled with a big gemstone.

Francoise Mask

The mask is pretty intricate and comes with a satin-y ribbon to fasten it on and give a bit of an air of mystery.

Nipple Jewelry

Then there's a pair of purple beads dangling off of small metal clamps with rubber ends to give a bit of comfort to your pleasurable discomfort.

3/4 view of Posterior Plug

Lastly is this adorable little plug for your posterior. Isn't it cute?

Posterior Plug standing on it's base

Made from super soft silicone, this little guy is almost three inches tall from base to tip, with a diameter of about an inch and a quarter at it's widest point.

The base has a silver plastic gem encased in it to give your rump romp a little sparkle.

box for Ooh by Je Joue London Love-In Set

London Love-In Kit by Ooh by Je Joue - Retail Value $89.00

We have arrived at the piece de la resistance and my favorite part of this box. I was SO excited to see this kit because I've been eyeing up this company for some time now. They just have the cutest packaging that is vibrantly colored and fun which can be hard to find in this corner of retail.

The kit comes with three main pieces (a motor and two "Pick n Mix" attachments) to be enjoyed as a couple.

Everything came in its own packaging with really cute branding, plus an instruction manual, catalog, and charging cord.

charging cord, motor, vibrating pebble attachment, and c-ring attachment for Ooh by Je Joue set

Ok- so here are the important parts, out of the packaging. This kit includes the large motor, the soft silicone vibrating pebble (for her), and the soft silicone c-ring (for him).

large motor with charging cord attached

As you can see, this baby is rechargeable, so no need for batteries. That grey button is what controls the vibrations and is on both sides so it doesn't matter which way you slide the attachment on.

Once you've charged up the motor, simply slip on your desired attachment to get rumblin'. Here's what it looks like with the vibrating pebble attachment. There are three speeds of constant vibration, plus two patterns to toggle through. When assembled, this toy is 3 inches long and 1 and 1/4 inches at its widest point.

c-ring attachment on motor

Same with the next attachment, you just slip the c-ring onto the motor, then the ring on to your c to start the rumbling for he. End to end this is one is 3 and 3/4 inches assembled, and the ring opening is about 1 and 1/4 inches in diameter.

If you get bored of these two attachments, there are many more available to "Pick n Mix", as they call it. 😍 They range from $25-$40 a piece.

Sliquid H2O intimate glide

Sliquid H20 Intimate Glide, 2 oz. - Retail Value $8.00

Last but not least, things are more fun when there is no friction involved. This water-based lubricant is natural, vegan, paraben-free, and all of the other lovely things you want something that close to your special parts to be. Since it's made without oil, it cleans up easy and isn't ever sticky or messy. Phew.

Verdict: My first experience with the Heart + Honey Couples Box is super positive- the way sexual encounters with a partner should be! For $129.00 I got eight exciting new things that have a retail value of $201.49. I think this is a really great way to start exploring more interesting practices with your love (or lust, or like) and keep things fun in the bedroom. If you want to get spicier with a pal but don't know how to bring it up, this box ushers you both in gently with some giggles and winks without feeling icky or tacky. As I mentioned at the beginning of the review, the deliveries slowly ramp up each month so it's not too much too soon.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! This is an open subscription, so you can start any time (or order by Friday 2/9 to receive this box by Valentine's Day). 😉

Seriously Marne, you win reviewer of the year in my book. And yes, I know it’s only February. I was very curious how a review for a “posterior plug” could be tasteful and not offensive to some. You absolutely nailed it with class and maturity. I love the play on words and how comfortable you made this review feel. You’re a wonderfully talented writer!
