Your Bijoux Box January 2018 Review

cheers info card product list for january 2018 my bijoux box

Here’s a product list for the month.

Y shaped necklace blue chain necklace laid flat blue fragment necklace on woman

Ysabel Y Necklace

I really like the color palette of this necklace—the cobalt blue really pops against the silver settings. However, the angular shapes aren’t quite for me. That said, I do like the Y-shape. It’s interesting and out of the ordinary. It’s almost like a snazzy upscale version of the bolo tie silhouette. The parts that go around the neck are 19 inches long and have 3 inches of extender chain. The bit than hangs down in the center is about 5.5 inches long.

Ysabel Earrings

I feel like I will definitely wear these 3-inch-long earrings when I have a look that needs a pop of color. The angular shapes, again, aren’t my fave, but the blue is beautiful and the earrings are generally so comfortable and fun to wear. I really like how easily they dance as I move.

Gold Necklace from Featured Designer, Jules Smith

This art-deco-inspired necklace was my favorite pick from the box. I’m a big fan of gold, and I love striking, linear/geometric designs. This shimmering, yellow-gold design sits where a bib necklace would, and it feels rather powerful (it’s like a tiny shield!). I feel like it’ll go just fine with casual looks, but I’m eager to try it with something snazzy, like a black dress with a deep V neckline. FYI, the chains on either side are 6 inches long, with 2 inches of extender chain, and the centerpiece is 3 inches wide.

Bonus: Cheers! Trinkets Tray

This month’s bonus gift is this postcard-sized trinket dish. It’s got my absolute favorite color palette—gold, black, and white—and has a lovely shiny finish. It feels a like something meant for New Year’s Eve, but being that I received this box on January 12, I’ll probably use it as decoration for my bar/wine area.

The Verdict: The blue necklace and earrings weren’t totally my style, but the quality is nice enough that I’ll probably end up wearing at least the earrings quite a bit. The pop of color is cute, even if the shapes aren’t my favorite! The gold necklace was really awesome—I did see a note on the info card that styles may vary, so you may have gotten a different design than I did (and if so, comment and tell me about it!)—and I can see myself adding it to a lot of different outfits. The dish might not have been the most timely present, but it’s super cute, and the colors alone make me want to find a place for it in my decor.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Usually, this subscription processes orders on the 1st of each month and ships on the 15th, but as of writing this review, the site is still advertising this January box! Hurry and order it while it lasts!

Coupon – Use coupon code WELCOME to get a bonus piece of jewelry with your first box.

Value Breakdown: At $39.99 for this box, the average value of each of the featured pieces, counting the bonus scarf would be about $10.00. Being that the MSRP the info card lists for the necklace is up to $175, that’s not a bad deal!

  1. I received the same Jules Smith piece as you. I’m unsure if I can pull it off. I’m not a fan of Y necklaces, but I do love that blue. The earrings are lightweight and easy to wear. I think the necklace will grow on me.

  2. I didn’t think I would like the Silver and Blue Necklace and earrings because I almost never wear silver and after seeing the spoilers and postings on social media. But once I saw them in person and tried them on I totally changed my mind and am in love with the beautiful blue color and can see myself wearing the necklace and earrings together especially with a plain white T-shirt. As for the Jules Smith necklace I received a different variation then the one reviewed above. I’m not exactly in love with it and had been hoping to receive another necklace from the variations but trying it on I could see myself wearing it once in awhile. As for the dish it doesn’t go with any of my decor nor do I have room for it anywhere so I listed it up for swap and hope that someone wants it and that it can find a happy home

    • Thank you so much for sharing your take, Veronica! The blue is really striking in person, isn’t it? I’m so interested to hear about all the different Jules Smith pieces that folks received – I’m sorry yours wasn’t quite up your alley. I really appreciate your thoughtful comment! Thanks for reading 🙂
