The info card comes with a photo and short description of how you can use each brush.

It’s good to note that you can check their blog for a video rundown of the brushes and how to use them as well.

G5 Pointed Powder Brush

G5 Pointed Powder Brush – Retail Value $15.00

The brushes I received this month come in a really cool gunmetal grey finish with a handle that is cylindrical and flat at the end. This first one is a pointed powder brush, so I used it to apply my pale powder to set my foundation. I have to say, it was nice to have this slightly pointed end so I could get into the crevasses of my eyes instead of the huge powder brush I normally use.

The bristles are black at the base and fade to white at the tip. They are ULTRA soft and I couldn’t get over how nice it felt against my skin. Yay!

G39 Deluxe Foundation Brush

G39 Deluxe Foundation Brush – Retail Value $8.00

The next brush is called a deluxe foundation, but I already know that I don’t really care to apply my foundation with a brush (I prefer a foam blender), so I ended up using it for cream blush instead.

I swished this brush back and forth against my cream blush and then dabbed it onto the apples of my cheeks to slowly build the density I wanted. I then brushed it to blend evenly onto my face. Very pleased with the result there!

G42 1" Flat Contour Brush

G42 1″ Flat Contour – Retail Value $8.00

The third and last brush is a 1″ flat contour that can help you get highlights onto narrow areas of your face like your nose and cheekbones. I normally don’t do any contouring on my face, but I have to admit that I’ve been playing around with a highlighter I recently got and am kind of loving it.

I used this brush to apply a really metallic and bright highlighter to the bridge of my nose and the high point of my cheekbones. It did a good job and allowed me to be more exact than using the connected brush the highlighter came with.

Verdict: MorpheMe Monthly Brush Club sent me three great brushes that I didn’t already own that helped me up my makeup game. Even though I didn’t think I’d get much use out of a contour brush, I think I may use this one a good bit, and the pointed powder brush is perfect for getting into all the areas of my face. I’m glad the foundation brush worked well as a repurposed cream blush brush, so I’m pleased as pie with this shipment. The powder brush alone is close to the cost of the whole subscription, so I think getting three different brushes for $19.99 is stellar.

  1. As tempting as it is to resub, In December I received the brushes and on one of them all the bristles are coming loose in huge chunks. Really disappointed in the quality
