LOoking ForWarD to my Ipsy Spoiler Alert. That being said, I am curious how many Ipsy subscribers take advantage of the Ipsy “Offers”?

Here is my take on them,

Ipsy “Offers” are amazing! Best deals on items on the web. It is one of the great perks being an Ipsy subscriber.

SERAPHINE BOTANICALS
Complexion Brush Trio
Order Total: $20.00

MANNA KADAR COSMETICS
12 Piece Liplocked Set
Order Total: $20.00

NATURELAB. TOKYO
Hair Repair Trio
Order Total: $20.00

All of the above are full sized non sample items.

In other offers from Ipsy I have received multiple mixes of full size items as well as samples. One of the best was the Ipsy New Yea Offer. It had professional lash curler, two sets of lashes, mascara, two different eye shadows, a blush, lipstick, lip gloss, two different eye liners, a contour brush and nail polish. All full sized items for $25.

Other offers I pay $12 or $15 and those usually have more sample sized items. I love my Ipsy subscription.

This isn’t about ipsy but Trust Fund.

They have a sub service. Cool, right?
It’s 30 a month, and 300 for 9 months. I could be doing my maths wrong in my newborn having brain, but I’m pretty sure that 9 months for 300 is MORE than 30 a month?
Also, it says spoil yourself with A product and free shipping. Seriously!?!? What am I missing??

I like Ipsy but wish they would invest more in products and ditch the cheap but cute glam bags. I do like the Ipsy offers.

I have been seeing the SAND & SKY Detoxify + Brighten Purifying Pink Clay Mask and I really want to try it before I order a big one!

I am not too impressed…might take a break with ipsy for a while xD

I’m not either. This is my 3rd month with them. My first bag was great. Good higher brand products. Last month not so good so I Adjusted my profile again. Then this month from my preview doesn’t look so great either. Only 1 item is a name brand that I know and it’s a black eyeliner. I did not have eyeliner checked on my profile and I did not have black checked as a color I wanted either. They just sent a blackish purple eyeliner last month. I’m really not into drug store brands. I know some are good but I can test those out on my own. I may skip this month also.

If you keep changing your profile, especially without having had time to build up reviews, how are they supposed to know what you want?
Just a thought.

Lisa

Don’t they usually reveal the bag with spoilers? I like what I see so far. I have not had problems with loose powders. Ipsy has sent me two so far one I requested. Plus I have loose finishing powder too. Nothing has spilled .

Sharon

I have recieved two or three loose powder items and i have never used them because it goes everywhere and gets all over everything. I hate it. There is no way to use it without a mess. I hate it.

Wow, that primer’s logo looks a lot like the Adesse logo– I thought it was nail polish!

I like the look of the luxie brush on the left, but really don’t like double ended brushes– one end is always smooshed in my brush cup then. I guess I could just store the end I don’t like downward.

I will be interested to see the bag– I skipped January and so far have zero bag envy for anyone else I see. I’m not super in love with these products, so I think the bag might be the determining factor for me going forward.

I store my double ended brush in a clear makeup drawer, but now I don’t use it as much, I used to store the pencil tip face down, and it didn’t damage it, but I didn’t leave it like that too long. They make great travel brushes.

How do you skip months? I’ve been with Ipsy for about two years and I’m getting disappointed more often with the bags.

Reply ButtonReply

Emma

I actually went in to cancel late last month because I thought the January bag preview was atrocious and the bag is really one of the reasons I keep ipsy. It gave me the option to skip instead of cancel. So I decided to give the skip a try because I thought that would work out better than skip/resub/skip/resub.

I don’t know if you buy through the ipsy shopper thing a lot (I don’t– I liked it better when they just had brand coupons) but you cannot “shop or earn ipsyCash” while your subscription is paused. (You can still buy ipsy offers, although I can’t find them on the app, just on the website.)

JennGwen

I’d really like the Marsk eyeshadow. I said yes to it in the survey and would far prefer it to the browns and coppers i usually get.

I always love trying new primers yet it’s the one type of I never get in my Ipsy glam bags…I’ve never heard of this brand but it has perfect 5 star reviews on their website 😉

Boring. Hope they step it up a little.

I almost always get an eyeshadow and eyeliner in my bags because I have most other things unchecked. That said, I often get an unwearable eyeshadow like pink or beige that doesn’t even show up. This loose Marsk color looks like an odd choice but I wouldn’t mind playing with it for fun.

Oooh, I want the brush! I got my first luxie brush in a vegan cuts box and I love the feel of it. I hope it’s small enough to fit in the makeup bag. All the spoilers look like something I could use or easily gift though.

Anyone know the quality of the beaute basics eyeshadow?

Sand and Sky came this month in Birchbox in a much bigger tube, I have both brushes and can pass on the others. Hoping for better items in upcoming spoliers or I might just have to skip Feb.

Reply ButtonReply

Ash

Wish there was more skincare than makeup lately.

Reply ButtonReply

Lisa

See one of the reasons I skipped January is it seemed too hair and skin care heavy. I only want make up.

Reply ButtonReply

Savi

I’ve noticed that Ipsy seems to really focus on makeup, which is why I like it. However I also get Birchbox, which is the same price and seems to be much more focused on skincare and hair care. For both companies you have very limited say in what you want, so I prefer that they all focus on different things to avoid getting types of products you don’t want and so you can subscribe to the type of box you want.

I like Ipsy. I have received in the 3 months of my subscription a good balance of make up, hair, and skin care products. I find it the offers to be of great service too. For very little I can also purchase from Ipsy items I want or need. Have you played around with the website shopping? You can search for items or brands you like and just about find anything. I also play around with my profile too. There is a date of the 2nd of each month that Ipsy even asks you what you want. I change it up then and after I get my bag too. It takes like 5 minutes.

Jessicups

Think it just has to do with your profile. I’m getting a mud face mask, a charcoal scalp exfoliator/shampoo, a purple nail polish, and the last two are make up with a wet line liner and a the balm highlighter. I have mostly skin/hair care picked, and things like nail polish. My bags are usually 1-2 makeup and 3-4 skin/hair, ext. It took a few months and you just have to be very honest about things you like and don’t in reviews.

Katy

I have both of those Luxie brushes already but I am still hoping I will get that one.

VeronicaLM

Nothing here excites me. I really think this is a horrible curation with uninteresting items. Definitely will not be getting this

Reply ButtonReply

AC

Most likely, you won’t. This is only a sampling of the items you *might* get sent. There are many many different variations that get sent to customers. This spoiler is not a “curated” box.

Anie Chen

That dual ended brush looks real nice. Pretty convenient for when you travel. Hope I get it *fingers crossed*

I have yet to receive a makeup brush in my ipsy bag, I wonder what the secret is to getting one….

Reply ButtonReply

Amy

The secret seems to be that you’ll get one if you don’t want one!

Reply ButtonReply

Denise Utter

you need to go through your settings, the less items you click the better, if you really want a brush only click the brush on that page and you have a higher chance of getting it in your next few bags

Reply ButtonReply

Kelly

I’ve been getting Ipsy since September 2017, and I have gotten a brush in every single bag except for 1 month. Literally. I’m so happy about it too!

Reply ButtonReply

Regina

Right?!?!! My daughter is like Imhilly she tells me mom, why do you get brushes and I don’t? I share what can I say. Anyhow, last month she finally got one. I love Ipsy. My daughter is the one who actually turned me on to it and we have so much fun pampering ourselves. Nice little bonding time. Thanks Ipsy.

kimparkhouse

I finally had to remove tools/brushes from my likes because i was getting brushes every month it seemed like (I still have a stash of unused brushes)

RoguesEn3D

I’m hoping for the brushes – I’ll take both, haha. I just received that Sand & Sky in my December Birchbox and gave it to my niece. The other items don’t interest me, but I know there will be more options.

CandaceD

Very interesting this month! And love Luxie brushes, especially for travel

Reply ButtonReply

LoriD

The Sand and Sky mask looks good to me, but the rest of these don’t really interest me. I’m hoping that there will be some more options later that I’ll like.

Deanne

I skipped January, but this looks interesting, products I haven’t tried! I’ve been knee deep in boxes the last year and lost the feeling of discovery pretty fast. Learned a lot though!

Reply ButtonReply

Marina

I get that same feeling sometimes. But then I get something amazing that I would actually buy again and I continue. I do wish boxes in general would ease up on the brushes. I have sooo many brushes. They just feel like filler, not anything of real value.

Reply ButtonReply

Jessica

Sand and sky mask looks interesting!

Reply ButtonReply

Savi

I tried it in my Birchbox last month. It was a pretty small sample (at most 1-2 masks) and I thought it didn’t help that much initially but my skin looked great the next couple days and it was very gentle for sensitive skin.

Reply ButtonReply

Jessicups

2 uses seems about right, when they send sheet masks its usually 2 in the place of 1/5 items. Fingers crossed, it looks really nice.
