Frank And Oak Style Plan is a clothing subscription box for women and men, from Canadian brand Frank And Oak. They aim to "combine classic styles, modern cuts and innovative materials to produce style we truly get excited about."
FYI – Subscription Changes: Frank And Oak recently updated the way that Style Plan works. Previously, you paid $54/month, received a $54 store credit, and could choose two items to receive in your shipment. If you opted to keep them, you'd get a members-only discounted price on those items, and your store credit would be applied to the balance. (This review is for the last month under the $54 plan.)
Under the new plan, Frank And Oak Style Plan is now a $25/month styling fee model, where the fee only applies if you return all of the items. You can choose to have Frank And Oak send you 3 items every month or every other month. Items are selected according to your size, taste, and budget preferences– and you can login 2 days before your box ships each month to add or remove items, or skip the month entirely. When your box ships, you're billed in full for the members-only discounted price of the items in your box; up to 25% off their retail prices. If you decide not to keep any of the items, Frank And Oak will issue a refund minus the $25 styling fee for your order.
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)
This review is of the Frank And Oak Style Plan for Women, the final month of the $54/ month + free shipping plan. A review of the new model will be coming next month!

Frank And Oak Style Plan January 2018 Review
Before I dive into my picks for this month, here's more information about the Frank And Oak Style Plan sign-up process:
After choosing a monthly or bi-monthly plan, several clothing options are presented one at a time so you can rate each. Overall, the clothing is minimal and sophisticated, a big trend that I am seeing everywhere right now!
Once Frank And Oak Style Plan has an idea of your style preferences, they present clothing options that match your style. In addition to several images and fabric and sizing info, you can either pick from your style recommendations, skip the month, or shop across the regular store each month. After your order arrives, Frank And Oak provides a price to keep each item or you can choose to return any item for free.
Ribbed Turtleneck Dress in Salt & Pepper, Size XL - Retail Value $59.50 (Style Plan price: $44.50)
After receiving my last box, I knew I wanted to try a dress this time around. I love a good dress and tights! I am between sizes a lot of the time, so I decided to size up to an XL for this one just in case. I would rather have a dress be too big than too tight! I like the fit of this dress, but I do think the size Large would have worked as well and might have provided more shape. Overall though, I am obsessed with this dress! The length is sophisticated, it looks great with tights, you could pair it with boots, or even dress it down with a pair of sneakers. The fabric is a polyester and rayon blend so there is a nice stretch and comfort. The style is timeless and the quality indicates to me that this will last me through the years! This is definitely a keeper!
"And" French Terry Crewneck in Grey Melange, Size L - Retail Value $69.50 (Style Plan price: $54.50)
"What if the things that set us apart bring us closer together. What if instead of saying 'or', we say And." I have had my eye on this sweatshirt for a while now! The "And" collection is exclusive with Frank And Oak where $5 of each purchase of the crewneck go to Equitas. If you aren't familiar with Equitas, they are an "organization that works locally and abroad to eradicate the causes of poverty and build a world based on the principles of justice, inclusion, equality, and respect for human rights." I was very moved after reading about this collection and knew I just had to try this crewneck!
Made of cotton and polyester, this crewneck is the most comfortable top I have ever worn. I had to add a picture of the lining for you, it honestly felt like sweatpants or pajamas. The second I put this crewneck on I wanted to curl up on my couch. The best part is that the crewneck also looks great on! I really love minimal pieces like this that can be worn with jeans and a boot or made to be super casual with leggings and sneakers. This crewneck will be a conversation starter and I can't wait to wear this to explain all of the wonderful things Frank And Oak and Equitas are doing!
Verdict: Frank And Oak is exactly my style, I want to live in everything on their site! Their clothes are comfortable while still being stylish. This is only my second box, but I am still very impressed with the quality of each piece that I received. You can tell that each piece will last and wear well over the years. While I am obsessed with everything that I received, with the monthly fee plus the membership price of each piece, you are still paying a good amount for anything you decide to keep (although you do get a discount compared to their full retail prices). It will be hard for me to decide which of the two pieces to keep from this month's box!
To Wrap Up:
Can I still get this box if I sign up today? No; each box is customized based on your style plan. Under the new $25 styling fee plan, boxes ship automatically on the 1st of the month, and you can log in 2 days before shipment to add or remove items, or skip the month altogether.
Value Breakdown: This box cost me $54 upfront, but I received a total retail value of $129. I can return the items for free, or spend an additional $45 to keep both pieces (meaning I would spend $99 total for the items in this box).
