Me and my daughters were all charged $15 for February box. HELP!!! Did this happen to anyone else? WTF? And the samples this month were so small, I get bigger samples to try products from Sephora. It wasn’t worth $10 much less $15. Please reply to this, I need serious advice, feedback suggestions.

I don’t believe that you should have been charged any more than $10 since January 1st because before that they had the beta program and I was paying $15 to be able to look at six different boxes and see what was inside and pick the one I wanted but they said everybody complained about paying $5 more which since it was an option, I enjoyed picking the box and knowing what I was getting that I would like it for $5 more but they stopped doing that as of January 1st because people complained of the price and now they have only added one extra sample to pick and the rest of the box is supposed to be based on your needs and less you get the curated box but either way it should be $10 and you may want to send them an email and ask about it. I am wondering if I cancel, and then resubscribed if I can use the code to get the lipstick from Mac because I love that color or if that will not be considered as me being new if I cancel and resubscribed.?

After receiving my February box, I’ve decided to cancel my subscription. I felt like the sizes were a total rip and none of the products in my “personalized” box were relevant to me. I’m switching to Allure.

Am I the only one over BirchBox? And I’m not a subscription box pro or anything…I just get Sephora PLAY! and Birchbox. I love Sephora Play! because I shop at Sephora often. Birchbox sends the oddest brands, I wouldn’t even call them “Indie” brands. My boxes lately have been so boring. Any suggestions for a new box? Thinking IPSY or BoxyCharm.

I’ve been mostly happy with my Ipsy. Tried them very early on and dropped after one box but picked up again about half a year ago. Gotten some very cute pouches also lots of cosmetics brushes.

The sizes of the samples in Birchbox is so sad. I really regret having a half year subscription and I only just received my first month!

I just made an order on Ulta, for $75 purchase (which is about the price of half year Birchbox subscription right?), I got two goodie bags worth of $280 (I didn’t even count those packets)!!!!!! Those are for FREE after I purchase $75 products.

I would wait to order from Ulta after the investigations are done…
Google it.

Yawn…
The samples I received in the January box were the smallest I have ever seen. Literally. However, last month’s curated box was beautiful and I loved it. February looks soooo boring. I mean there’s Sunday Riley, but it’s so small that there’s no way to even determine if I like the damned thing. Anyone else thinking about taking a break?

Me too not very happy ipsy is much better for 10 dollars

I am so sick of getting liquid liners, shampoos and or entirely way too small samples (which I never get enough to determine if I would buy any more, isn’t that supposed to be the point?). Time to cancel.

Man, I really don’t want any of these choices or the curated box. I may just leave it a mystery. This may be my last box.

Sara

What’s up with Birchbox? My January box just shipped out yesterday and they’re already talking February?

I received a small douche eyeshadow and a foil one time use conditioner and some other items that I did not want and were teeny tiny. What has happened to birchbox. I used to look forward to their boxes and I am not impressed with their curated boxes either. I have two boxes left on my yearly and I am cancelling

Marion

I’d swap for the Ouai conditioner.

The sunday riley sample looks TINY. Nothing else was anything I need or want to try, so I cancelled my subscription. I’ll see if anything temps me re re-subscribe next month

Hard to decide, I could probably use any of that but I don’t need any more eyeliner or lip products (that lip color looks pretty though). Good genes is the stand out though so I might go with the curated box.

Megan

Has anyone tried the Balance Me eye cream or heard good things about it? Trying to decide if I should go for that or just stick with the curated box. I’m really new to makeup and skincare products so I could use all the advice you want to give, heh…

I got it either from Birchbox or Ipsy some time ago. It was just okay, in my opinion. It was moisturizing, but didn’t do much else. Pretty basic. But it didn’t irritate my skin or make my eyes water, so that was a plus.

Evie

Agree.

Sarah S

Has anyone tried the Ouai Leave-In conditioner yet? Thoughts?

Constance

Argh another eye liner. No matter how good you make it sounds, it’s still an eye liner!

I am not a fan of the Love brand and really don’t like hair products anyway, I have very long hair and don’t use products on my hair.

Stephanie

@Liz — Any updates on their Beta program? I absolutely loved it but they aren’t doing it anymore. They implied something else was going to happen that might replace it but I haven’t heard anything.

Angie

Imma go with the Mac bc I got a horrible box this month so I’ll pick things I’ve never had before. 🤔

Luna

I think I’ll be choosing the Ouai leave-in since I haven’t tried it yet, and I’ve loved all of their products I’ve tried so far, and I’ll purchase the curated box separately. The eyeliner will be gifted, but everything else looks great to me!

Mally

Would rather get all three choices instead of the box shown! Hopefully the curated will be better.

Has anyone here ever broken out from using Mac skincare products? I am hesitant to try them because I was recently told by a professional makeup artist that although they make great color products (which I do use and love) that they refer to their skincare products as “Macne” because they’re terrible for your skin.

AAC

I don’t use MAC skincare or foundation. It does cause breakouts on me. But all my eyeshadow is MAC.

Reply ButtonReply

Frances

Thanks for your feedback AAC. I use their lip liners and lipsticks and love them both.

SKD

Oh no. Doucce has infiltrated my beloved BB.
