 Sumikko Gurashi Room Shoes/Slippers

Sumikko Gurashi are really becoming my new fave group of characters from San-X. These pink and white fuzzy room shoes are UNBELIEVABLY SOFT and have grippies on the bottom from preventing a fall on hardwood floors. This pleases me greatly since I slipped down my hardwood steps a couple months ago with my leather-soled slippers. Grrrr. Anyhow- I've been wearing these around the house for a while now and just love how soft and warm they are. I luckily have super small feet and they fit perfectly, so I fear that anyone with normal adult-sized feet won't fit into them. They're also perfect to travel with since they are soft and don't have a hard sole.

Rascal Cat in Grey

This 10-inch tall fat grey kitty is ultra soft and so round and cute. I immediately picked her up and held her in my arms like a baby. It was instinctual! Everything about this plushie is perfect! Her little paws have pink embroidered paw pads and she has darker grey stripes on her back and head as well. I believe she's a Scottish Fold, due to her ears, which I know is a popular breed in Japan. Completely obsessed.

Rilakkuma Multi-Use Case

This item is a bit of a head-scratcher for me. It's a good size at 7 1/4 x 4 1/2 inches, but is quite flat, so not too much fits in here. Most documents that I need to save are larger, but I could see using this as a cute place to stow a birth certificate or passport. Stickers may be another good thing to store in here, as long as they aren't too long. What would you put in here?

Marumofubiyori Moppu Mechanical Pencil

Mechanical pencils are my jam, and this one features the newest Sanrio character: Moppu the polar bear from the Marumofubiyori trio which also features a blue fish and a red crab that can be seen on the floor and the back of the couch, respectively. Here, Mop is snuggled under a fuzzy polka-dot blanket on a couch keeping warm inside. She also may or may not be binge-watching Netflix. That is my kind of bear! The pencil also has a white eraser at the end in a plastic cover, which is classic.

Marumofubiyori Eraser

Ah, cool! A Marumofubiyori eraser as well! When that little one on the pencil runs out, I will be using this soft pink eraser to get rid of my myriad of spelling mistakes. Here, you can see Gyoniku-san (the fish) and Kanikama-san (the crab) a bit more clearly, on top of Moppu's head. These three are too darn cute!

Realistic Fluffy Cake Squishy

Finally, we have a small cake squishy! The one I received has fruit slices and blueberries atop fluffy white icing and yellow cake with a little sign that reads "Happy Anniversary!". It's hooked to a cold ball chain so you can use it as a charm and squish on the go.

Verdict: YumeTwins was awesome this month! I'm always saying how less is more to me, and this box is a perfect example. Even though I received only six items this time, I really loved almost everything and thought the quality was great. Pencils and erasers are always super usable, the slippers are just what I've been needing, and lest we forget my new little baby cat!! The Rilakkuma flat file case was a bit weird, but I'm sure I'll find a use for it.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Sadly no, but you have until December 30th to order the January box (check out the most recent spoilers here).

I think out of all the kawaii boxes yumetwins probably has the best quality. I was subscribed to kawaii box too, and most of the items were cheaply made.

It’s just that often their choice of items is a hit&miss for me, especially since they don’t put that many items in the box (they probably rather focus on quality over quantity?) I had the box for a very few months and accumulated so many stuffed animals that I stopped my subscription. *lol*

The December box looks decent – with the stationery and the squishy and the socks/shoes. And the cat is sooo adorable. But there are months where I didn’t really dig any item I get… (stopped my subscription around summer)

But I realized that they put more items into their boxes now… a few months ago it was just around 4 or something.

I’ve not gotten my box yet, but I had no idea what I was going to put in that flat case but now that I’ve seen you suggest that you could put stickers in it, I know what to do with it now. So thanks for solving that one for me!

Hi, don’t know why my previous comments didn’t appear.
I just think people should know about what happened to me so they can make an informed decision about subscribing to this box. I ordered a 6-month deal from Yumetwins on october. No boxes have arrived yet. I have exchanged a lot of emails with them, at first they were very nice but now they just send me the same generic response. They basically take no responsability about what happens to the boxes after they have been shipped. They told my that my box was probably stolen/lost/mishandled at some point and that there is nothing they can do, no refund, no replacement box, nothing. I even asked them to please send me evidence that they actually sent the box but got nothing. I know a lot of people have a great relation with their costumer service and always get their boxes on time, but it is only fair that people considering getting a subscription hear about this, I wish I had.

Oh gosh, how AWFUL! I appreciate you bringing up your experience, Laura. I hope they snap out of it and do something or that you one day come home to three boxes!

Thanks! 🙂

Wow–that’s terrible! I’m so sorry to hear this. I’ve been subscribing for a few months, and haven’t had any problems, but I’m grateful to know this, in case anything like this happens in the future. Based on when my boxes tend to arrive (around the 10th of each month, and I live in LA), I think you should have received at least two by now. I hope that this issue is somehow resolved for you.

I love that Rascal cat. Soooo cute!

The Rilakkuma case says it’s a “mask case” on the label, so I’d assume it’s something to store facial sheet masks in.

Marlene

Apparently it’s for those smog masks and not sheet masks.

Marne Orenich

Ohhhhhh, I see now. Thanks for clearing that up!

Dayan

Yup the case is specifically designed for the hygiene/gauze/smog masks that are popular among Asians.
Per label, it’s supposed to be good for storing 3 antibacterial masks.

Marne Orenich

I saw that, but the sheet masks I had lying around didn’t seem to fit. 🙁
