Best Fur Friend Enamel Pin by House of Wonderland - Retail Value $8.07 USD
Heck yea! This pin has a bright pink background with teal border and illustrates a human fist-bumping with a white cat paw with the words "Best Fur Friend" and it is making me cheer. I love both of my furry cat babies with a hot fiery passion that cannot compare to anyone else. I have their sweet faces tattooed on my legs for goodness sake. They are my besties forever and I cherish them each day. Clearly, this pin is for me and I am fully prepared to wear this with pride. Kit and Gregg (my boys) would totally give me "knucks" if I asked nicely, I bet.
Pink Dinosaur Socks - Retail Value $6?
There is a reason that kids today are still as obsessed with dinos as I was back in the 80s: Dinosaurs are freaking cool. These pale pink socks are super soft and feature a Brontosaurus, T-Rex, and my fave, the Stegosaurus in pink and teal. The socks are on the thin side, so I'm not sure how much wear they will get this winter, but they make me super happy just by looking at them, so I may just wear them inside for now. Since these were branded for Quirky Post/Crate, I'm not sure of the actual retail price and took a wild guess based on other fun socks online.
Magnetic Cassette Bookmarks, Set of 3 - Retail Value $6.00
Ah, the mixtape. My entire life revolved around mixtapes in the 90s. It's how I heard new music, and professed my love to my new crush. Here, they come in the form of tiny magnetic bookmarks. Each one of the three opens and closes with magnets on each side to cling to a page in your book, with a long brown ribbon for a tail to hang out and save your place. I'll admit that I am not a huge reader even though I have about 10 books on my nightstand that I have the purest intentions with. I normally toss a scrap of paper in to save my spot but admit that these would be a lot more fun.
Verdict: Quirky Post has officially won my heart over Quirky Crate. She's short n sweet and gives me the essentials (a pin and a pair of socks) with a third surprise item that is usually pretty darn rad. For the $16 for Quirky Post, I got about $20 of gear that I would totally rock and makes me smile.
