Our Subscription Box Favorites for December!
We’re starting a new monthly post highlighting our favorite discoveries from subscription boxes! Here are our favorite items from the past month:
The Item: Whish Botanical Primer
The Cost: Estimated Value $8.75 (Buy a full-size version for $35.00)
From: Birchbox (Coupon: Try any of these free gift with purchase coupons on orders of $35 or more!) And don’t forget your free mystery sample pack on orders of $35 or more!)
Why I love it: I love the texture and performance of this primer from Whish. It’s not the slippery silicone feeling kind, it’s lighter and more of a cream but still leaves my skin feeling smooth and velvety. I noticed that I needed less foundation for a full application, too!

The Item: Vintage Chain
The Cost: Undetermined; age, materials, condition, and other factors all affect the value of vintage craft supplies
Why I Love It: I have been on a chain kick lately and have bought far more than I really should have, so of course, I was happy to add more to my collection. I like that it is mostly fine but with some interesting larger elements, and I think the patina that has developed with age adds an authentic vintage feel to the necklace I made from it.

The Item: Whipped Body Butter
The Cost: $15.00
Why I Love It: This product has been the best body butter I have received in a long time, and it didn’t last long, it was that good. The whipped body butter was moisturizing and tackled my dry skin; it had a faint lemon scent. The body butter’s I have received in the past were greasy and had a thick consistency this was not the case with this product. It was lightweight, with a whipped creamy texture.

The Item: RareESSENCE Peace Candle Travel Tin
The Cost: $12
Why I love it: I love this candle for so many reasons. Its scent is a blend of frankincense, myrrh, and palo santo, which manifests as a sweet-and-musky incense in candle form. Its tin container makes it durable and portable. And, it was made with pure, GMO-free soy and bees waxes from farms in the USA, with a cotton wick. This candle is pretty much perfect!

The Item: Tree Hive Maple Syrup + Honey
The Cost: Retail Value $12.00
Why I love it: Batch is a quarterly box that I always love receiving! It brings small business products from the South right to my door. This maple syrup comes from a husband and wife company, Tree Hive, that started back in 2012. They developed this unique blend of 100% American honey with pure maple syrup. Since receiving this bottle, my family has eaten almost all of it! It has that fresh syrup flavor mixed with the sweetness from the honey. I think I love just how much you can taste the honey the most! We use this blend on pancakes, yogurt, and even on peanut butter and banana sandwiches. At this rate, I am going to be needing another bottle very soon!

The Cost: $29.99 a month + free shipping for the box
From: Parabo Box
Why I love it: I had to go with these! I ended up giving them to my husband as a little stocking stuffer gift and he loves them, and our family really enjoyed using them on Christmas Day too. The quality is really nice and it seems like (so far) they will stand the test of time. Definitely can’t wait to see what is in next month’s Parabo Box!

The Cost: $30 but it’s currently on sale for $22.50

Why I love it: This candle smells amazing, and I love the bright metal box that contains it. While it doesn’t smell exactly like peppermint, it does smell fresh and wintry.

The Cost: $36 a quarter + shipping
From: Witch Baby Soap
Why I love it: Witch Baby’s products are amazing! This box has themes for the seasons with bath bombs to represent the lunar phases in each quarter. Their scent profiles are unique and earthy, yet incredibly decadent. I use the Fairy Milk body oil that was included as a perfume nearly every day, it is that remarkable. All items are exclusives that either have not been released or will be in January, so that sneak peak is a big incentive as well. In addition, the savings can’t beat. The box is valued at nearly $50, but getting it at $36 is a heck of a deal! Witch Baby put a love spell on me with this box!
