Mishimask November 2017

CW Clinic Fresh Collagen Mask Sheet, 0.81 oz. - Listed Value $1.50

Starting off strong: I really enjoyed this mask. It's nothing fancy - no frills here! - but it left my skin feeling rejuvenated and sort of plumped up. Into it!

Cosmo Monster Yogurt Sheet Mask, 0.88 oz. - Retail Value $2.00

I love yogurt masks! The enzymes in the yogurt tend to give my skin an exceptionally youthful glow. This sheet comes with lots of excess essence and a clear backing in order to keep it well-saturated. The "fermentation extracts" in this mask were super moisturizing and brightening, and I enjoyed that the scent was pleasantly soft, fresh, and faintly sweet.

Recipe Slowganic Sheet Mask, 0.75 oz. - Listed Value $2.00

The best thing about this mask was the lovely, fruity peach scent! This mask claims to give the skin a youthful appearance, but I didn't find that it did much for my skin elasticity. Granted, it felt good after using, but don't expect any dramatically noticeable results. Also, the peach scent became a bit much after awhile.

TONYMOLY I'm Real Avocado Mask Sheet, 0.71 oz. - Retail Value $4.00 (found here for $1.00)

TONLYMOLY masks are some of my favorites to grab at the drugstore. These are everywhere! And they're really nice for their price! Avocado is known to moisturize and nourish the skin, and the avocado extracts in this mask do just that. This one is a great option for every day during these cold, dry months.

Inner B Aqua Shield Mask - Nourish, 0.88 oz. - Listed Value $3.00

This jelly-like mask comes well-protected with 2 liners on either side of the sheet. The gel sheet is extremely delicate to peel from its backing layers, so be careful there. The jelly texture of the sheet allows the mask to sort of stick to the face in a suction-like manner -- super comfy! This sheet also comes divided into two parts, so you can ensure that it fits well on your face. I found this mask to be the most enjoyable to wear. I actually left it on for 30 minutes or so (definitely long for me) and found my skin to be quite plump and fresh feeling upon removing.

Esthenique Premium Aqua Snail, 0.97 oz. - Listed Value $5.00

One of my favorites of the bunch, this mask was also incredibly comfortable to wear. The sheet is very thin and drenched in essence. The wetness of it sits sort of heavy on the skin in a way that makes it feel like it's really hydrating... really working. I do tend to prefer very moist masks like this one, but watch out for excessive dripping.

Dear Sister Rose Gold Mask, 085 oz. - Listed Value $3.00

There were several reasons why this mask was my favorite of the month. First off, the sheet was so thin that it was almost transparent on the skin. This allowed for a really close fit. There was also lots of the clear serum/essence. Tons of extra in the packet! The serum created a cooling sensation that felt really nourishing. Being that I'm currently breastfeeding paired with the changing of the seasons, my skin has been way drier than usual lately. Oftentimes, I wake up with flaking skin even after applying a concoction of several night oils and treatments before bed. However, after using this mask and massaging the excess serum into my skin, I awoke with noticeably hydrated, even, and glowy skin.

Dear Sister Ceramide Waterful Mask, 085 oz. - Listed Value $3.00

I had a very similar experience with this Dear Sister mask as I did with the first. It was great! I also love that Mishimask included two varieties of the same brand. I love trying new brands and different products from each. This mask contains 12 botanical extracts to calm irritated and sensitive skin and focuses on creating a healthy skin barrier. I found it to moisturize my skin better than many of the other masks this month, and much of the redness around my nose and chin was soothed and reduced.

Dr. Band 2-Step V Zone Care, 0.2 oz. - Retail Value $6.00

This is a 2 step neck and chin mask. Step 1 is a firming serum that tones the skin and preps it for the mask sheet. Step 2, of course, is the mask itself. The uniquely-shaped sheet stretches around your neck and chin in order to lift and firm the area. Mishimask cleverly describes it as a "face line corset." The sheet has holes on either end that are to hook around your ears -- this is what keeps the mask taut and secure. If tightening the skin around your chin and neck area is something you're into, this is a solid option to treat this portion of the skin.

Common Labs Ggultamin C Real Gel Mask, 1.1 oz. - Listed Value $4.00

This gentle vitamin C mask is another 2-stepper. Step 1 includes a peeling pad to gently exfoliate the skin, and this is followed by step 2, a gel-soaked sheet, after rinsing the skin and patting it dry. This mask is intended to hydrate and brighten and has a light, citrusy scent. While the gel is certainly moisturizing, there's a whole lot of it. It did end up leaving my face sort of sticky, so I might advise against patting the extra gel serum into your face before bedtime if you want to avoid a very messy pillow. The results were nice, though!

Verdict: I'm continuing to love my monthly Mishimask subscription, especially now that harsher climates are here. Gotta stay moisturized! I was happy to see that this month featured a full 10 masks (Mishimask promises to deliver 8-10 monthly) and that there were no real duds. This month's retail value totaled $30.50 making the average value per mask $3.05. Considering the $19.90 cost of the box + shipping, this puts the average amount paid for each mask at $1.99.

Being that most Korean face masks are $2-$5, the $1.99 average value per mask is pretty spot-on for what I'd consider to be a worthwhile cost. This is an awesome subscription if you're a fellow mask lover, like me, and enjoy trying new brands!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the December box.

Value Breakdown: At $19.90 for this box, you're paying approximately $1.99 per mask.
