Ivory Clasp Handbag Subscription for December 2017

with212 bag from ivory clasp 2017 with 212 black handbag from the back

With212 Central Park Mini Handbag – Estimated Value $88.00

I love this cute little handbag! It’s faux leather with gold details and both regular handles and a shoulder strap for extra versatility. The shape is small (the dimensions listed are 10″ x 11″ x 6.25″), so it’s not something I can use for carrying my laptop or anything. But as far as carrying my phone and wallet to a date or other fancier event around town, it should do just fine.

No joke, about 70% of my wardrobe is black, white, or gray, so I’m always thrilled to see a neutral-toned bag in this subscription. This piece is black faux leather and has bold black and white stripes on its lining. I love the big gold zipper and the metal twist detail on the front.

Cute, right? It’s pretty classy but still very modern, rather than leaning too traditional or being too stuffy (which isn’t quite my vibe). I’m excited to use this over the holidays as my special occasion bag.

The Verdict: I’m such a big fan of this bag! I really like the structure and the blend of mature, sophisticated style with fresh details and a modern twist (literally!). I’ve had great luck with the quality of other With212 bags I’ve tried in the past, so I’m excited to put this little handbag to good use!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You can definitely still sign up, but what bag you get depends on what you enter into your style profile and what’s available. There’s no guarantee that you’ll get this same look, but you might get something else that’s just your style!

COUPON: Use code MSA20 to save 20% off your first month!

Value Breakdown: Ivory Clasp costs $45.00 per month, but I received a bag that retails for $88.00! That means that this box saved me over 50% on this nice-quality bag!

  1. I just signed up with the MSA50 deal, it still works, will I still get to choose my bag? or is that only with full priced subscriptions?

    • I signed up when it was 29 plus change for life. I got this bag today and love it. I signed up for a quarterly sub since monthly would put me in bag overload.

  2. How long does it take to get your bag? I ordered on the 13th or 14th of December and it was mailed out on the 15th but it just says arrived at partner carrier facility, USPS awaiting item. I’ve never had USPS not update mail before. So I hope it isn’t lost. I contacted IC and they said it was shipped but contact them if hasn’t been delivered. Im in NC I’m contemplating waiting a full ten (10) Days not including Christmas. But I am wondering has anyone else had this issue? With shipping that is.

    • They ship through FedEx smartpost so it’s only handed of to USPS at the end, if you sign up for FedEx delivery manager it shows you all your incoming packages. It took me about a week to get mine but that was the first week of December that mine shipped. I purchased through Groupon and redeemed through IC.

    • My shipping info never updated once from 12/13, but the bag arrived yesterday, so hopefully yours is not far off!

      • Thank you. Hopefully that is the case with my package as well. I was hoping to get it before Christmas. Wishful thinking. Hopefully I get it next week.

      • Carrie. It came like yours mine never updated either. But it was outside my home when I got there on Tuesday.

    • I’m having the same problem, shipping on 12/18 and tracking movement since. It typically takes a week to be delivered but USPS is clearly in a multi state delivery turmoil as many people are experiencing this with packages recently.

      • Yeah I got mine Tuesday. And they never ever updated the tracking not once. Id never experienced that before. The same thing happened with my bespoke post shipment. It said cancelled by fedex and they shipped it usps but never updated the shipping. Scared me to death nearly. LoL.

  3. FYI I was just informed that returns are NOT free. You have to pay the return shipping price. Very misleading. @lizcadman please update this. I signed up when I read here on MSA that returns are free also its stated on their site but I guess its not true. I figured it was not a big risk to try this sub out. I filled out my style profile and was sent a purse that is opposite to my taste. I asked how I can start an exchange and was told I would have to pay for return shipping myself. Considering the cost for me to return the bag will cost me about 50% of what I paid, this is not a good deal for me. So sad. Anyway, I hope this helps someone.

    • So how much would the shipping be? Amd maybe I’m just being cheap but couldn’t you send it in the same box and say “return to sender”? You don’t have to pay when you do that.

      • That’s really interesting. I signed up in October 2017 (?) and the first bag they selected was not my taste at all. I called them to return & try again. I was very disappointed because the style was great but the color was really, really off for me. They said the first return was free and if I wanted to return the 2nd I would have to pay shipping. . . I went ahead and let them pick the 2nd bag (because they were so close with the first). I thought this policy was very fair. I’m surprised by the change.

    • Hi KC,
Thanks for sharing your experience. I checked out the verbiage we have in the review, and I noticed it says “free shipping, 100% refunds and returns”. That’s language that we pulled straight from the Ivory Clasp homepage (here: http://www.ivoryclasp.com/). I think they’re trying to say that they offer free shipping and 100% refunds and returns. But I TOTALLY see how it sounds like they’re offering free shipping and covering refunds and returns 100%. (This is why I love the Oxford comma, my friends – “free shipping, 100% returns and refunds” reads differently than “free shipping, 100% refunds, and returns.” Okay, writer rant over…)

Given your experience, KC, I think it’s referring to the fact that, if you follow the returns process described on their FAQ page (http://www.ivoryclasp.com/faq) you can get a 100% refund of what you paid for your bag. Thank you for calling out the confusion here! I’ll update the copy above so that it’s a little more straightforward. <3

  4. I love that they’ve switched to letting you pick your own bag.

    • How? Did they send an email or is it on option on the website? I didn’t get a chance to pick my bag.

  5. Oh, that is so cute!

  6. I just received my first box from ivory clasp earlier this week, and I really enjoyed what I received from them. It’s a nice quality bag that is really just what I was looking for. Pretty pleased with the experience.

  7. I’ve never seen a metal accent like that on a bag before. It’s cute!

  8. I took advantage of the $29 for life offer and signed up for quarterly delivery. I was given a selection of purses to choose from and 72 hours to do it. I hemmed and hawed and looked some up on-line and finally made a selection. I can’t wait to receive it!

  9. I love this bag! It totally fits my aesthetic. If I signed up for the box, this is the purse I would want. But how would I get it? Is it random?

  10. That is such a cute one. I would over the moon if I got it. But sadly i dont get good luck with IC. They never seem to match my style well

    • This bag is really me, but I’m kinda picky when it comes to purses. I wonder what choices you’d have to pick to get more bags similar to this one.

    • You can actually pick your bag now. They gave me a selection they had and told me to choose in 72hours.

      • How? Did they send an email or is it on option on the website? I didn’t get a chance to pick my bag.

      • I just got my email about choosing January’s bag last week! I think Veronica’s right – there’s a relatively short timeline to choose your bag before they pick for you. When you click the link in the email, it takes you to a page full of tiles that show the bags. There’s not a ton of information given about each bag – it’s basically just the picture – but I found that everything on the page fit into the preferences I had set (color and style-wise). I was between two, so I’m eager to see if the one I picked is as fun in person as it looked online!

        Hope that helps 🙂

  11. Ivory Clasp raised their price to $49 during the summer

  12. From what I could gather, everyone got the same exact options to pick from, so customization probably didn’t matter. When I tried this last May as a one time present to myself (was too broke to really sub then), I got the cutest real leather Nanette lepore purse that I love (although it broke after about 3 months because the straps were just glued on). Fairly underwhelmed. Also no real brands anymore, just the three house brands with guest appearances from a couple others.

    • I just joined, then rejoined with the $29 for life price quarterly. I figure if I can return any bag I don’t like for my money back its a super great deal. I selected my latest bag. It was a little larger than I anticipated, but very usable! I think my laptop will fit in it. Practical and for $30, great! My first two were blue & large which surprised me, because I only need one blue purse. I was going to send it back, but my daughter was thrilled with the 2nd and took it. So between the two of us I think we’ll really enjoy the subscription.
