HangSquad December 2017 Review
A card is included detailing your earring style preferences. Choose 2 among the following categories: total trendsetter, simple & sleek, classic beauty, funky & fun, and itty bitty. I chose to go with trendy, unique pieces (Total Trendsetter) and small studs (Itty Bitty).
Onto the earrings! Each box comes with at least 2 sets:

This dangly style features a bold, abstract shape and silver tones with a contrasting black and green marbled print. I like the circular shape mixed with more angular shapes, and I've been noticing a definite trend in this style of earrings lately. While I do love the look of these, I will say that the quality isn't great. The marbled portions look a bit cheap. The backing of each earring is quite loose, too. Like, to the point that they'd fall off if I didn't replace them with the backing from a different set of earrings before wearing them out.
These hung down pretty low on my ears and have lots of movement! They're also quite large. Really nice for someone who is into making a statement.
December Itty Bitty - Estimated Value $7.00 (based on similar styles from Hang Squad)
I love these! These studs look elegant on the ear, and their delicate silver crescent moons each hold a tiny star. The style is somewhere between classic and boho with just the right about of ethereal. Very comfortable, as well!
I found these to be better made than the trendsetter style. They just feel nicer. I also love that these work as an everyday earring.
I couldn't actually find either of the styles received this month in the HangSquad subscribers shop, so I assume that they've sold out. However, I've noticed that their Lookbook portion of the website isn't up to date, so it could also be that these haven't been added for individual purchase.
The shop works this way: Once each month's box is shipped, the styles for that month go on sale in HangSquad's shop (until they've sold through, that is). Subscribers are able to make purchases from the shop, and the discounted cost of each pair of earrings is one of the perks of membership to HangSquad. You may also add extra pairs of earrings to your monthly shipment for $6/pair.
Verdict: This was my third box from HangSquad, and I'm pretty pleased with it. Both of the pairs that I received are stylish, and they are inexpensive enough to not worry too much about misplacing. It's awesome that they focus on cute earrings at affordable prices.
Value-wise, both pairs would sell for about $13-$15 together in the HangSquad shop. That said, I wouldn't say that this subscription is a tremendous value. The $22.00 cost of the box comes with the option to buy more pieces at a discounted, membership price. Considering the wide range of styles available to subscribers for only $6, this is a worthwhile subscription if you wear earrings frequently. If switching up your earring selection on a monthly basis isn't super important to you, I'd skip it.
