Theme card

Back of card

December's theme is "Cozy Time"! As the weather gets colder, I am definitely feeling this theme.

Lil Labels Clothing Labels

Lil' Labels Clothing Labels, 42 Pack – Retail Value $9.99

These petite clothing labels are so tiny and cute!

Lil Labels Clothing Labels

Each sticker is really small, under 1" wide, with these fun highlighter designs.

Lil Labels Clothing Labels

These are no-iron write-on labels, so you simply write your child's name on with a ballpoint pen, and stick it to clothing tags.

I don't actually have a use for these right now because my son doesn't go to daycare, but I might just stash them away for preschool time.

Lil Labels Clothing Labels

There were two codes to save 30% if you reorder, too. This brand also offers labels for baby bottles and milestone stickers.

Effortless Art Crayons

Effortless Art Crayons, 5 pack - Retail Value $5.00

My toddler has been pretty into coloring lately, so I was happy to get some kid-friendly art supplies in this box since the winter weather here means we're spending more time inside.

Effortless Art Crayons

These have a unique shape so they don't roll, and are big and chunky and easy to grab. They also won't snap in half easily (which is our main problem right now with regular crayons).

Plus, this brand is made of 100% recycled crayons, and they donate one pack for every pack sold.

Effortless Art Crayons

These are made in our region too, just a couple hours north in Erie, PA!

Pure & Glam Cosmetics Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil

Pure Lano Waterproof Brown Eyeliner, 0.05 oz – Retail Value $15.00 (Found here for $3.75)

This was one of my customizations this month; I grabbed it just because my current go-to eyeliner is almost gone. I also liked the Pure Lano lipgloss I received last month, so I was curious to try another product.

Pure & Glam Cosmetics Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil

This has a super smooth application, as promised. You can smudge a bit right after applying, but once it sets I found that it lasted all day without issue. The wide exposed tip was different vs what I'm used to and I had a few false starts, but you can use it easily to make a nice mini cat eye type shape that widens at the outer corner of your eye, which I love. I kinda wish I had got the black instead of the brown! (At the sale price, I might just pick another one up.)

This is a plastic-feeling type of pencil, which apparently can be sharpened just like a normal pencil... although I haven't tried it myself yet. I am skeptical that it will sharpen well because of the soft texture of the actual eyeliner, but we'll see.

Probiogen Probiotic 7-Day Sample

Probiogen Probiotic Sample, 7 count – Listed Value $6.50 (Available here in a 30 count size for $21.30)

I've gotten probiotics from Ecocentric Mom before and really enjoyed being able to try them since I'd been curious but didn't want to shell out the big bucks for a full sized bottle. This 7-day sample is the perfect size to try something like this and see if it works for you.

Probiogen Probiotic 7-Day Sample

I'm currently taking a different brand and am happy with them, so I'm not sure yet if I'll test these out myself.

Probiogen Probiotic 7-Day Sample

These are vegetarian-friendly capsules which are also free of GMO ingredients, dairy, wheat, gluten, soy, and artificial colors and ingredients.

Earth Mama Angel Baby Coconut Smoothie Lip Balm

Earth Mama Angel Baby Coconut Smoothie Lip Balm – Retail Value $3, Listed Value $3.99

Oh, Earth Mama Angel Baby. I feel very silly saying this brand name out loud, but I swore by their Nipple Butter when I was breastfeeding.

Detail: Earth Mama Angel Baby Coconut Smoothie Lip Balm

Lip balm is always a welcome addition during the winter months! This formula is super soft and glides right on, although it does taste strongly of its primary ingredient: coconut oil.

Ingredients: Earth Mama Angel Baby Coconut Smoothie Lip Balm

I really liked this overall. It might not be my go-to lip balm, but it'll happily live in my coat pocket so that I know I'll always have something on hand in cold, dry weather.

Addylu Candles Winter Wonderland Soy Wax Melts

Addylu Candles Winter Wonderland Soy Wax Melts – Retail Value $4

These wax melts smell so good! For some reason I expected these to be minty, but they're more like a spiced cider.

Addylu Candles Winter Wonderland Soy Wax Melts, detail

The pack can easily be broken into 6 individual melts. I don't have a wax melter myself, so this is destined to be a stocking stuffer gift this year.

According to the info card, the wax melts should last 60 hours, but I'm not sure if that means each individual melt or the container as a whole.

Addylu also includes a card with a discount for 10% off future orders.

Pop Bar Hot Chocolate Stick

Popbar Hot Chocolate On A Stick – Listed Value $2.99 (Available here in a 3-pack gift set for $10.99)

This is something I've seen a million times but have never actually tried: hot chocolate on a stick! Yum!

Detail: Pop Bar Hot Chocolate Stick

I am a hot chocolate fiend when the weather gets cold. I somehow managed not to just eat this like a giant candy bar and made a nice big cup of hot chocolate after my son was in bed last night. After heating some milk in the microwave, you just stir for a couple minutes until it's completely dissolved. Super easy and kind of relaxing?

Ingredients: Pop Bar Hot Chocolate Stick

The texture was a lot better than my usual powdered mix and I drank this faster than I'd like to admit. I just wish I'd gotten more than one!

Stephen Joseph Socks, 2 pairs

Stephen Joseph Toddler Socks, 2 pairs – Retail Value $7.80 ($3.90 each), Listed Value $7.99

This was my second customized selection of the month. I don't know what it is about tiny toddler socks, but between losing them and my son's feet growing like crazy, I feel like I always need more!

Stephen Joseph Socks, back tag

We got two pairs: one with an airplane pattern, the other with sports. (There was also a pink owl and butterfly set available.)

Stephen Joseph Socks, Sports

I am a sucker for patterned kids' socks. Look how tiny but detailed they are!

Stephen Joseph Socks, logo detail

There's also a nonstick logo on the bottom, which is always nice when you've got hardwood floors at home.

Stephen Joseph Socks, planes Stephen Joseph Socks, toe detail

Both pairs are super cute and my son really likes them, too. We've been having a hard time getting him to wear socks lately so having fun patterns really helps!

Verdict

My December Ecocentric Mom Mom & Toddler Box (with my customized selections) had an overall value of $54.28. It felt like we had a lot of smaller, lower value items this month, and I was a little disappointed to see that eyeliner available at such a deep discount. But while it's not the highest value I've gotten from this box, but it's still very good for a box that costs $27.99 with free shipping, and I know the items that I won't use will still go to a good home.

Is this box still available if I subscribe today? No. If you sign up now, your first box will be the January box.
