SO disappointed with this month’s box, and the customer service response. My box had three hair products, including two for coarse hair. I have fine, limp hair that I dye neon pink and blue, so most hair products just strip the color right out. I emailed customer service, and they gave me a totally BS response along the lines of “we didn’t want you to miss out on the great product, this is for all hair type!” Birchbox needs to realize that they are among the worst of the subscription boxes of their type. I have yet to be super impressed with any of their boxes thus far. I’m going to stay for another month or two but I am probably going to cancel. Even at ten dollars, it’s really never worth it, and Ipsy, Macy’s, Sephora, and Allure are SO much better.

I chose the curated box. I use all of those types of items daily and a lot of them. I love eyelash primer.

Already starting on my New Year resolutions. Cancelled this, Sephora Play, and Ipsy is next. My teeny tiny cosmetics are threatening to takeover my bathroom.

I chose the lip balm, but I’m hoping to get the hair mask, too.

“Underwhelming” is an understatement. I’ve been with Birchbox since early 2012, and I am so tired of these same old sample brands and products, year after year. I am definitely cancelling my yearly subscription in February when it expires. I dont even feel bad about throwing away my “Ace” status. My one quandary is that the Clarks Botanicals radiance cream would be new to me, but I absolutely do not want any of the other items in the curated box. Just more work to sell the unwanteds in a lot on ebay for a pittance.

I chose the lip balm since I’ll get a lot of uses out of it, but I sure do hope they throw in the hair mask too!

I”m so underwhelmed by these choices. I hope the rest of the year gets better.
