Swap for any item in this box from the Allure Beauty Box Swap page!

Each box comes with a booklet detailing the items included and why the Allure Beauty Editors selected them. (This month’s box is curated by Jaclyn Hill!)

And this month, subscribers will also receive a coupon code for $20 off any Bauble Bar purchase:

Valid on full-priced product only. Expires 1/20/18. Cannot be combined with other offers. Excludes gift cards.

I shop Bauble Bar a lot, so this is a very vauable coupon to me! (I can get a necklace for under $10!)

Now, on to the items!

Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer – .12 oz Value $7.35

I’ve sampled the Hourglass Primer before, and I love the formula. It really creates a flawless feeling base on your skin. (Plus it is free of parabens, fragrance and sulfates). And it has a built in SPF15. The only thing I don’t love about it is the sample applicator. It’s just like a lipgloss/stick – I think it would have been easier to use in a tube or pump.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Champagne Pop – Mini Size! Value $19

I’d say this is the hero item of the box!

And it is SUCH an impressive highlighter! Excellent pigment and shimmer with just one brush stroke and the warm champagne colors gives skin a healthy glow, too.

Here it is swatched:

It blends easily, too. And since the shimmer is so intense, this mini should last for months!

Oribe Matte Waves Texture Lotion – 15 ml Value $6.30

Like all Oribe products, this hair styling product smells amazing. I used it on damp hair, and let my hair air dry. I didn’t notice any difference in how my hair dried, but the added texture was great. It helped my hair hold curls better the next day when I styled it.

Philosophy Purity Made Simple One-Step Facial Cleanser – 1 oz Value $3.67

This cleanser is a classic for a reason – it works great for sensitive skin, and removes makeup well, and doesn’t strip your skin of oil.

Dior Diorshow Mascara – 1.5 ml Value $4.27

I don’t love the non-twist and lock design of this mascara sample, but the formula itself is great. Length, volume and lash separation: check, check, and check!

Morphe M433 Brush – Pro Firm Blending Fluff – Full Size! Value $6

This is Jaclyn Hill’s all time favorite eye brush!

The goat hair bristles are slightly longer in the center, so it’s great for defining the outer crease, blending shadow out, and applying color between your crease and brow bone.

Verdict: This box has a value of about $46.59! (Not counting the Bauble Bar coupon code.) That’s great for a $15 beauty box! Sometimes Allure delivers higher values, but I think this is one of their best boxes yet, and I love the Jaclyn Hill curation – you can definitely tell that these are all high-end brands she loves.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! But make sure to sign up asap to secure this December box!

Coupon: Use this link to save $5 and get a free mystery beauty item with your first box! (Mystery item may ship separately.)

  • Morphe M433 Brush – $1.93
  • Dior Diorshow Mascara – $1.37
  • Philosophy – $1.18
  • Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer – $2.37

  1. I re-subbed recently and just got the December box, but the Becca highlighter was missing. Did anyone else not get theirs? It was one of the main reasons I decided to re-sub, so I’m hoping I can still get it if I contact customer service.

    • I swear I’ve read on here somewhere that they ran out of the Becca highlighter & they were giving out a substitute

I signed up on dec 7th and received my box. But haven’t received my $15 gift for signing up yet

      • Aw, that’s a bummer if that’s true. I really wanted to try the highlighter. I didn’t get the $15 gift, either.

Now I’m kind of regretting my decision to sub again. . . .

  2. Has anyone received their Thrills Box from the Better than Black Friday deal? Do you know- if I was a previous subscriber that cancelled, will I still get the Tarte Blush for the new subscriber? I cancelled more than a year ago after receiving 4 boxes. Thanks!

    • I didn’t receive the Thrills box yet, and the gift for new subscribers only applies if you didn’t use any other offers to subscribe (if you subscribed with the Thrills offer, you won’t receive a new subscriber gift; the Thrills box will be your subscription gift).

      • Some people are getting both… I am waiting for a response from Allure to see if I get both since I had to cancel to get the 39.99 plus thrills offer.

  3. Becca compact contained pulverized powder that has now glitterized my entire box.
    Fail.

    • Me too! 😫

  4. I received my December box on the 15th, and so far I’ve only tried the mascara. I really like the formula and loving the applicator brush…its huge and my lashes love it! I have such a huge stash of products I don’t know when I’ll get a chance to try the rest. The Morphe brush is packaged so nicely, I won’t open it until I am in need of a new blending brush, which won’t be until next century! And the Purity cleanser is sealed, so it can keep for awhile. The Becca highlighter and Oribe hair texturizer will have to wait til summer. I will certainly be trying the primer as soon as my current primer is done. BUT what I really wanted to share with everyone is FYI: I’ve tried the Cargo Bali blush we got several boxes ago. It goes on really blotchy as a blush so I kinda stashed it away at the bottom of my makeup case. Well, I rediscovered it today and thrilled to say it makes a KILLER eye shadow! Try it on your eyelids…so pretty! Anyway, this December box is one of the best. Can’t wait to get my January box. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone! 🙂

  5. I received an email Nov 27 saying my package had shipped … still haven’t received anything. And I needed it to gift some of the items for Christmas 🙁

  6. I just checked my account and saw the tracking info there even though I haven’t received any email. Those of us who haven’t gotten any shipping notification may be able to find out if theirs are coming by doing the same. I will wait patiently for the box to come to me from 3 hours away and most likely stay subscribed for at least another month for the fabulous January box.

  7. I am so disappointed with this better than black Friday deal. My November box was missing the hey honey and the new subscriber gift and the mascara was dried out. I still haven’t gotten my December box or the replacement items from November. And they still haven’t shipped my beauty thrills box. I had to call 3x and they don’t have any information really. Just said that the warehouse and usps lost a truck.

  8. i signed up on dec 6th and still have not received my box or tracking number. i try to log into my acct, and it says i don’t have an acct under that email address… this is just a hot mess for me. not pleased…

    • I just received my tracking email last night for y 1st allure box. So hopefully you’ll be getting your soon. Not sure if I’ll receive b4 xmas but at least it’s on way

      • I just checked my cc statement, and i ordered on dec 6, they charged me dec 7, and then refunded me dec 8th… ZERO explanation. so now i’m wondering if i’m even getting a dec box. sent two emails and received no response. poor customer service all the way around.

  9. Uhhh, did anyone else get theirs with an ORM-D sticker on it, which means that it contains a hazardous material??

There was no other explanation, just a sticker. If there’s something in one of these products they are concerned about putting through the mail, should we be worried about putting it on our face?

Or was someone at my post office just screwing with me?

    So bizarre.

    • They put that sticker on the box because it contains an aerosol spray can. Aerosol spray cans have to treated differently than other types of mail due to a possibility of fire or an explosion. Nothing to worry about. Carry on.

    • If you’ve ever ordered a Target or Walmart beauty box, you’ve seen that sticker.

    • The hazard is for transportation, not an inherent hazard to using the product.

    • Actually! No need to worry! It just means your Beauty Box had something with Aerosol or some form of alcohol! Aerosol and alcohol are both flammable so they like to cover their tracks, and it was probably perfume, or the cleanser as seen in the above review. It’s a part of processing, no need to feel spooked, dearie!

Both are perfectly safe for contact with skin!

  10. I like the real contents, but the BaubleBar item is a COUPON, not a gift card. Disappointing. I hope they don’t make it a habit to include coupons in the box and consider it part of the value.

  11. No complaints here! I signed up for Allure Box in November & received the full sized Tarte Amazon Clay Blush. I also just received this months box and I’m loving it, and am very happy with all of the items because I will use every single one of one of thems. They aren’t all full sized but bigger then the usual samples that I currently receive in most of the other sample boxes I get. I’m going to use the Baublebar coupon and am treating myself to a monogram necklace. So for $15 I’m getting $20 off a really cute piece of jewelry, deluxe sized samples, and an awesome makeup brush!

  12. I just received my box yesterday….no email or tracking information…it just showed up. And maybe I hyped this box up in my head because everything looks so good on paper, but I was slightly disappointed with this month. All the samples just seemed so small compared to the stuff I usually get from Allure. I realize it might be due to the items being higher end or higher value than the norm….That said, Allure is still my second favorite sub after Boxy. And I’m looking forward to January.

    • I’m waiting for anything. Tracking. Shipping. Confirmation. I even called them. I want my box. I hope mine arrives today like yours did

      • Me too!!! I haven’t gotten anything yet!

      • Yea, i didn’t get a shipping email either. I normally do. It showed up either late on the 18th or really early on the 19th. I am in Chicago.

  13. this is 1 of the best Allure boxes I’ve received so far! and January is looking good too!

  14. Once again I got the same things that I received last month, the primer, face wash and mascara. That’s kinda ridiculous! It isn’t an auto renew product box, how about trying a little harder #AllureBeautyBox. The products are great but the originality is not!

  15. Got mine today. Never got a notice that it shipped. I’ve only gotten that once, and I had the box the next day.

  16. I really wanted to gift this box and I haven’t received any confirmation yet. I’m literally gonna cry if it doesn’t come before Christmas 😩

    • I have received shipping emails every month for a year, except for this December and it showed up on the 18th. You should get yours any minute.

  17. I just got my box!! Yesterday and I love it all. It’s amazing , and the Becca highlighter is for sure the hero in this. This is going to be my all time favorite box especially since I’m getting a full size Sunday Riley 😍 but calling them is useless I called them that same day which was yesterday and they told me that it’s in the warehouse and sure enough mail cane and it was in my mailbox. You just have to wait! You don’t get emails , or anything like that. Just know they have no clue about the leaving of any boxes .

    • So it sounds like sometimes allure sends you a tracking number and to some they do not then? Wanted to gift an item for Christmas in dec box so that’s why I’m asking.
      Thank you

      • I logged into my account and saw shipping information there. Never got a tracking email… You could try that? Go to the allure beauty box site, then click my account. Enter your email & zip there.

  18. It’s the 15th and no sign of my box shipping. My boxes usually ship around the 10th – e.g., October box shipped on the 9th, November box on the 10th. Should I worry?

    • I have received word yet either!

      • I usually get my shipping confirmation earlier than that and just got it this afternoon, so you should be getting yours soon. They are probably just catching up thanks to the influx of new subscribers from black Friday.

    • USPS is very busy delivering Christmas packages, so I wouldn’t worry yet. I received my December box today (December 15). It was shipped December 12 from Illinois. I hope you receive your box soon!

    • I got my box in the mail today. I didn’t get a shipping confirmation email beforehand. It just showed up.

    • Like Jessica, I also got my shipping confirmation email today. So there’s hope! 🙂

  19. Ladies, if I subscribed in the begining of this month and today got refund 10$, but checked my account and it says still active, what does it mean? Will I get my box or no?

    • Call them! It sounds like they canceled your account for being a duplicate.

      • Grrrrr. Thank you!

      • so they don’t tell you if they cancel you? and if you’re paying for two separate subs, why do they care? many ppl have multiple ipsy subs and such…

  20. That M433 blending brush is so scratchy that I cannot blend with it. I bought it way back and recently threw it away lol

    • Yeah, I had my doubts about it the moment I saw that it’s actual goat hair. Synthetic brushes are softer.

      • Maybe I will use mine for Chinese brush painting or something…

    • Mine feels soft. Not scratchy – no problem blending.

  21. I think this December box may be one of my favorite sub boxes ever. Wow!!

    • Yes, same here.

  22. It looks like you may have a price discrepancy on the Becca highlighter- a “mini” that retails for $19 is 7 grams of product. The one sent appears to be a sample with 2.4 grams.

  23. so i just sign up to get the december box a ek ago, do you know more or less will i get it? how long do they take to ship it?

    • The 1st box takes the longest to get. Took about 3 weeks for my 1st one to kick in and then they start coming on schedule with a shipping email around the 8th-10th. It takes about 5 days to get it depending on where you are located. So, your second box could come a week or two later on their schedule….This month they are kind of behind though!

  24. I’m still relatively new to this subscription box world but I am constantly impressed by the value of the Allure box. Maybe I’m naïve but I never expect my $15 purchase to have a value of $50 plus I truly only expect cool and interesting products some of which I’m familiar with and others that are new to me. sometimes I read the spoilers and other times I don’t just because I want to be surprised like a little kid who’s getting Christmas presents every month. And yes certainly some months are better than others but then I just give away the items that I can’t use and keep the ones that I love. Currently I am on product overload status in my New Year’s resolution is I’m going to have to cut back on some of the subscriptions I currently receive but I definitely feel Allure has a great value every single month regardless if it includes items that I can use. I’m not sure what peoples expectations are for a $15 box but I am always happy every month to receive my Redbox in the mail. Just my two cents!!

  25. I still haven’t received my NOVEMBER box.

    • Just received Nov. box yesterday. Wonder when the Dec. box will ship.

      • My December box shipped December 12.

  26. Apparently there’s more effort required for the matte waves. I watched their YouTube video and you’re supposed to dry your hair instead of letting it air dry.

  27. How late do you think it could be? I signed up this month (after I saw the Sunday Riley spoiler for January).

    • I’m very curious too… I’m guessing a lot of people just signed up since the spoiler. I’m hoping we don’t have to wait over a month or anything… We’ll see I guess.

  28. I love how everyone went from going out of their minds over this month’s box to complaining in a heartbeat. 😂

    • ROFLMBO

    • You are so right ! How the tide changes in an instant :(. Well it was nice to see so many positive happy comments but I do understand people’s frustration possibly with shipping delays

  29. I have something coming on Friday, but I think it will be a really late November box. Seems early to get the December box, right?
I subscribed exactly on the day they added the disclaimer in the website saying that if the November box is sold out, the first box would be December, but I guess I may have made into the cut.

    • Wow so is allure normally this late n sending out our boxes? I’ve read other comments too on how late they’ve been lately

      • My Allure boxes have always shipped by the 13th of each month, for over two years, I’m excited to get my box and I received notice from USPS that it has shipped.

      • I subscribed on November 20 something (it was before Black Friday). 20 something days seems reasonable.

      • yeah I was actually just thinking the same thing, I subscribe to Ipsy and Boxycharm and usually I get allure 1st and then those 2. I got those 2 this week and still haven’t received a shipping email from Allure. I’m a patient person but only “so” patient.

        • Friendly reminder that things can take longer in December. I mean, I’ve already gotten my Ipsy and Boxycharm should be here Saturday, but Allure has never been my last received in previous months. I think given the time of year and their track record in my experience with them, I can be as patient as I have to be.

  30. ANd I still not received even m November box! When I asked about it several times, they promised me a ‘replacement”… that I still not received too…

  31. Would have appreciated a different brush if they were going to include one two months in a row, as these were both crease brushes. Not impressed with this month’s box at all.

  32. I have my own criticisms of the SB industry but how can customers keep expressing the expectation that a 15$ box w/ coupons be regularly worth many times (in this case 6x) the monthly fee, for every member, while also personalizing a bit? That’s literally unsustainable unless bill gates himself is sending these to us; or if subscriptions were actually equity buy-ins with a suspicious ponzi scheme-esque investment return.

    • At $46, this box is only worth three times, not six times, the $15 I paid.

      • I don’t think you read her statement correctly.

  33. I’m excited to try a few of these higher end items but I’d never be able to afford on my own. They may be tiny but that just makes them for special occasions in my opinion..and Becca’s highlighters last forever so I’m sure I’ll be enjoying that mini for a long time 😍✨🙌

  34. Even the booklet looks different in my box.

  35. My box looks nothing like this. It looks like a different month’s box. I got a Moda brush, Beauty for Real lip scrub, Hey Honey serum, Tula neck cream, Cargo blush, Wander lipstick. With the exception of the brush, everything else is a tiny sample/travel size.

    • I believe that is a variation of the November box. You should be getting this exact December box soon!

  36. I haven’t even received a shipping email yet. kind of late this month.

    • I stopped receiving those shipping emails months and months ago! I never know when it’s coming til it shows up. Not received my November box yet and was told they sent it to my old address and not sure why as I’ve gotten two other boxes months brfore that here at new place! So frustrating and they claim it’ll come this week but they’re running out of time on that statement too now! 🙁

  37. I’m excited to get this box. I got the Dior mascara in another box, (maybe Sephora) and I agree with Liz on the design of it. Its really odd. But the formula makes that easier to overlook. 🙂

  38. That’s it? The value of this box is not even $50? I have to say initially the box looked better than that.

And I am disappointed in the size of the Diorshow – I mean, they couldn’t do a value of $10 or something, they could only do $4.27, really? Besides, normally deluxe sizes are around half of full size, not almost 1/7th.

    • I swear I read last week that the dec allure box was valued at $90 some dollars.

      • Yeah, it’s on allure’s website. $95.

Even adding the $20 bauble bar AND the “$15 +” new member bonus to Liz’s estimate of $46, that’s still only $81.

      • “The December Allure Beauty Box

VALUED AT $95. YOURS FOR $10.”

Perhaps they meant to buy everything full size would be $95? Rather misleading if they meant that.

Their website also says that boxes are supposed to be $50+

        • Yeah, I don’t think I’ve EVER seen such a low-value box from Allure…
