The most important card details all the sassy stuff included. This month's theme steals a favorite quote from the movie "Mean Girls".

Gold Eat Drink and Be Scary decal, in package

Eat, Drink, and Be Scary Decal - Retail Value $3.50

The first item this month is a three-inch wide gold metallic decal from Blue Sparrow Sundry.

Perfect for this witchy time of the year, it looks like these are commonly affixed to a wine glass to set it apart from the plain janes out there.

Bag of tricks cosmetics bag

Bag of Tricks Large Makeup Bag - Retail Value $24.99 (found on sale here for $19.99)

I am always drawn to zipper pouches. I don't know what it is, but I have so many and keep acquiring more. This black cotton makeup bag with gold zipper has a cool little scene silk screened on it in pink.

The bag is a really good size that fits all of your daily beauty products at almost eleven inches wide by eight inches tall.

Zip open the sturdy zipper to reveal a pale pink lining that matches the ink on the front.

All the usual suspects like lipstick, blush, a brush, etcetera are represented with the words "Bag of Tricks" emblazoned on it.

Be a little wild mini flask keychain

Be A Little Wild Mini Flask Keychain - Listed Value $8

As much as I love poisoning my liver with alcohol, I don't really ever drink it straight. This teeny flask probably holds a shot or two of whatever liquor you need to keep you able to deal with life.

The stainless steel flask has been powder-coated a bright green with the hand-lettered message "Be A Little Wild" in pink. Do you think it's a coincidence that those are almost Christmas colors, and that is when I would need this the most?

The cap is plastic but is attached to a metal lobster clasp so you can hook this inside your purse discreetly.

hair of the dog how to bottle opener

Hair of the Dog How-To Bottle Opener - Listed Value $4

This bottle opener is one of the items designed by Smartass & Sass this month. It is large and sturdy, just like my drinking habit. I've been going hard lately, and let me tell you, sometimes hair of the dog works. Just this weekend I texted a friend regarding brunch: "I'll go eat, but no way am I drinking", only to find myself ordering a White Russian at one o'clock in the afternoon. This behavior really only prolongs the inevitable though, so be careful!

The back of the blue rubber handle is left blank, much like my memory after a long night of drinking.

knock knock paper voodoo notepad

Paper Voodoo Notepad by Knock Knock - Retail Value $6.99

Another great item from Knock Knock! We received a book from them a couple months ago and I always enjoy seeing them pop up in this subscription since they are perfect for one another.

At the top, you fill out all the needed info for your recipient of bad (or good) intentions. There is a key to remind you which color pin to draw on the doll, depending on what you want to achieve.

At the bottom, there is another key to help you determine where to draw the pins in regards to what sort of pain (or blessing) you wish to inflict. Even though I find it hard to hold grudges, I can sure be spiteful in a moment of emotional pain. Knowing myself well, the heart will be the place I will be drawing the most black pins.

The back of the pad has an overall description of how voodoo dolls work.

Then there are more specific directions listed out on how you are to conjure up pain or healing for the individual.

boo, you whore tumbler with straw

Mean Girls Quote Tumbler - Listed Value $10

Using one of the most memorable quotes from the now cult classic, Mean Girls (by Tina Fey) Smartass & Sass has mixed sassiness and the spirit of Halloween for this BPA-free tumbler.

disassembled boo, you whore tumbler with straw

It's recommended for cold drinks, so you can load up this mason jar style wide mouth cup full of ice and your favorite bevvie to quench your thirst through a raspberry-colored straw. The quote in teal will remind your co-workers that you are totally over it just like Regina George she unknowingly gobbles up another weight-gaining meal bar.

bonus halloween stickers

Bonus Stickers

As a bonus, they've also included some spooky yet sassy Halloween stickers to throw shade anywhere you stick them.

Verdict: Smartass and Sass brought the sass, as always. This one had some fun Halloween stuff as well as a few everyday items. The makeup bag is probably my favorite of the bunch and the one that will get the most use. They still have included a few items that feel a bit more promotional to me (like the bottle opener, tumbler, and flask), but have personalized them to fit their snarky M.O. Items like that seem plentiful in subscription boxes, so I'd prefer to see more unique items in the future. This box included a little over a $57 retail value, which is around $15 over the cost of the box.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, but order now to receive the November box!

Marne – I knew this was your review as soon as I read “As much as I love my poisoning my liver” LOL. My middle school yearbook signature notes would be very fitting for my feelings of you – “Don’t ever change” LOL I love your reviews and you!

D’awww, thanks you two!! 🙂

Does it seem like a lot of promo/filler items? While I would use the bag and tumbler and probably the flask I just cant see paying more than $10 for the lot.

Charlie

Yes, definitely cheap items for them to get but charge wayyyyy too much for it. I can’t imagine that they have enough clientele to keep this box going much longer, however I do love scarfing at the reviews each month so I guess I’d be bummed if they cancelled.

Gracie

I really like this box but there’s no way I’m paying over $25.
