Pawpack November 2017 Box

PawPack is a subscription box for dogs. They are now owned by Pet GiftBoxand they’ve recently undergone a bit of rebranding. Treats are still all-natural and premium, but this box is now marketed more towards heavy chewers (like my dog!). For reference, my dog is a Rottweiler, who currently weighs about 87 pounds.

Pawpack November 2017 Cookie

Dante’s Doggy Delights Cranberry Crunch Cookie – Estimated Value $2.03 (buy 6 cookies for $12.15)

Amazingly, Nyx can have this. I haven’t unwrapped it yet, though, because she could also have two other treats from this box and I don’t like to give her too many new things at one time. That way, if something upsets her stomach, I have a better chance of pinning down the culprit. This has almond and coconut flour and is grain free.

Pawpack November 2017 Lindys

Lindy’s Bakery Pumpkin Pie (6 oz) – Retail Value $6.99

This is a new brand for us. The first ingredient is chickpea flour, which Nyx does great with. Pumpkin works well for her, too. These are small bones but that is just fine since I don’t like to give her too much new stuff at once due to her inflammatory bowel disease. These are made in the USA.

Pawpack November 2017 Sweet Potato 1

Pawpack November 2017 Sweet Potato 2

Pawfection Bakery Sweet Pawtato (4 oz) – Retail Value $3.99

These are small-ish puff treats that are again grain free. I think this has to be a first – a dog box with three food items, all of which Nyx can have. Amazing. Anyway, these also have chickpea flour and are made in the USA. Nyx could smell them from far away and she really wanted them (see a photo of her eating one below), although I didn’t think they had a strong odor.

Pawpack November 2017 Turkey Leg

Lulubelle’s Bronto Bone (large) – Retail Value $12.50

We get Lulubelle’s toys a lot in this subscription, but they stand up really well to heavy chewers like Nyx. They have a special rubberized inner lining (a sample comes attached to the tag) and I think that helps. This was also definitely sized appropriate for Nyx, which is appreciated.

Pawpack November 2017 Turkey Toy

Fetch Pet Products Party Fowl Turkey – Retail Value $10.99 (found on sale here for $9.99)

We have gotten SO MANY turkey toys this month (amplified in my mind because I opened four dog subscription boxes on the same day), but this is the only one of these I received. It has lots of interesting textures and seems to be pretty well made. Nyx, of course, wanted to play tug with it, which is her favorite activity with any toy.

Pawpack November 2017 Nyx

Here is Nyx eating one of the Lindy’s bones.

She had fun with the turkey leg here.

And here she is, anticipating one of the sweet potato treats.

Verdict: I calculated a value of $36.50 for the November PawPack. That is above the cost of the subscription. I thought the curation was fun (it is amazing to me how many different turkey-themed dog toys are out there) and more importantly, there were THREE different treats Nyx could eat, which is something that I don’t think has ever happened before with any dog subscription box. This was a wonderful month for us from Pawpack.

Yay for treats Nyx can eat! What a great Thanksgiving for her.

I couldn’t believe it! But we may have created a monster. Now, anytime I open a zipper bag of that type, she follows me. It could be cat treats, dried fruit, or cough drops — she doesn’t care.

Glad to hear it. There are about four more to come in the next few days (all the dog boxes seem to arrive at once…).
