Kiko+Sven Cozy and Grateful November 2017

The theme for this month is 'Cozy & Grateful' and is about 'slowing down, staying cozy and being thankful every day' A perfect theme for November!

Warm Angora Wool Mix Socks – Retail Value $8?

These socks are warm and fuzzy. They're also quite stretchy in both directions and would probably fit a good range of sizes. Sometimes socks are too baggy on my feet, but these fit well.

TAG Mercury Glass Candle – Retail Value $7.49

This little candle doesn't have a fragrance, but the glass votive is very pretty and festive for the holidays.

Argentea Tillandsia Air Plant – Retail Value $7.28

Well, here's my picture of shame. This year I've gotten into growing houseplants, and I was really excited to get a beautiful little air plant in this box. It was full and perfect when I got it, but I made the mistake of leaving it out where Zak the Destroyer could find it. In a way, it was interesting to see what the inside of an air plant is like – surprisingly moist! – but that knowledge came with a price.

Wooden Pen – Retail Value $6.50? (value based on a similar item)

This ballpoint pen is made with bamboo. It looks beautiful and writes fairly well.

Word Cards  – Estimated Value $1.50 (buy a set of 4 for $5.98)

Small cards like this are usually used to practice kanji or use for study flashcards, but Kiko & Sven had a great idea for them:

Simply write one thing you are grateful for on each card and leave it in a place where you can casually flip through them and meditate on all you love.

I like that they included both the pen and cards for this.

Noon Tinted Lip Balm in Crimson – Retail Value $4.75 (full size)

This lip balm is 'made in America with organic ingredients and natural minerals.' I really liked it – it has a little bit of tingle and isn't sticky at all.

Japanese Dish –  Retail Value $10?

This dish has a dark rim with a paler glaze over the rest. It's small but deep for its size. I feel like I should come up with a list of autumnal Instagram-worthy food you could put in this, but the truth is that I've been using it to hold Cheez-its while binging on Stranger Things

Verdict: I wasn't able to find retail prices for every item, but I'd estimate that the retail value is right around the $46 cost of the box with shipping. I consistently like nearly all the items that Kiko & Sven sends, and this box was no exception. I think the curation for November is great – there's a nice mix of cozy items, and I liked their idea for the word cards.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s little monster kitty viciously attacked a poor defenseless air plant! 😸 I had the one from Luxe Pineapple for all of 1 minute before my gray tabby knocked it down, broke the beautiful shell it came in, and took off with the air plant. Lol! I can’t keep any plants even fake ones because they are just too appealing to him. Even cat grass and cat nip can’t be kept in the house because he gets just way too aggressive with them and makes a giant mess! Haha! Gotta love him though! He’s such a sweet boy otherwise.

That picture of your cat is absolutely priceless! If there was such a thing as cat shaming…
