  1. If anyone doesn’t want theirs and hasn’t canceled I’ll take it! I was gonnaorder and now it’s sold out. Or if you don’t want he sunday Riley I’ll buy or swap extra for it! I have a swap page but have a TON hats not on there yet!

  2. Not a bad box, but wish GB would figure their ish out.

Don’t worry, Liz, we got your back 😘

  3. I think this is seriously a very AWESOME box and there are still two items to reveal! I ordered two, one for me and one for my daughter – she will be very happy! I love the products shown thus far. (btw, I don’t work for Glossy and I am still giving this box a two thumbs up before the remaining products are revealed!)

  4. This is looking pretty good to me! I’m getting mine for about $30 when I use my credits and the $5 discount code. I’m happy with my purchase.

  5. I’m excited to try their shadow formula! I’ve almost purchased via HauteLook a couple times. So far the only thing I really don’t care for is the mascara.

    • Me too but I’m willing to try it though! Can’t wait to find out what the last 2 spoilers will be!!🎉🎉

  6. Cancelled.

  7. now it turns out that not all are full size. and the value of the Sunday Riley is not listed, only the link ? So that makes me think if there is a possibility that it is just a deluxe sample size ? Holly cow, I will be so pissed. I’m not cancelling this time cuz I want to see how things goes, plus I get discounts from my points. But if it somehow turns out to be a tiny bottle then I s* to god this is the last straw that I will ever give to glossy box. Their boxes are getting worse everytime and their costumer services are essentially not existing.

    • If it makes you feel any better, someone posted on another thread that they asked GB if the Sunday Riley was full size on IG or FB and they responded that it was. Liz also said she reached out to verify all sizes so be on the lookout for that. I think the “full size” uproar started more because of the lip balm (listed as “mini” on the website because there is a non colored version that is larger size) and the Nest candle (since it is smaller than even a typical Nest votive size). There hasn’t been any concrete evidence yet that the Sunday Riley won’t be full size. I’m just not particularly excited about these spoilers and GB’s recent “issues” have left a bad taste in my mouth, so I cancelled my order. If I was only getting it for a few bucks (or less) like some others mentioned on here, I probably would be happier….

      • I don’t trust that anything is full size until I see it myself. Back when they said the Estee Edit Peoni was going to be in our boxes they flat out lied saying it was full size and it was a tiny sample. I posted the message on their fb page showing they lied and they deleted everything to hide it. They lied so much who knows what we will really get.

        • Anyone else worried it’ll be tiny and Glossybox’ll say “yeah, it’s a FULL sample size ;)” ?

  8. I don’t need this box but I have credits to use up and the Sunday Riley serum makes it worth it. Now I can be done with GB.

  9. These super-pale colors will not show up on my lids as anything but a one-shade smear. Pass.

    • Same here I am glad I saved the money on this one.

  10. Glad I cancelled my order. Product and pallet overload.

  11. Glossy Box does some good LE boxes…however, this is not looking that great, combined with the HORRIBLE customer service, this is an easy pass.

  12. So apparently at least some of the positive comments here are from GB’s social media team trying to do damage control. If that’s true, shame on you GB, although I can’t say I’m that surprised with all your other shady practices.

This should be a forum for real consumers, not undercover employees pretending to be consumers.

    • I’m not seeing an issue with the comments. They all seem like the typical comments I normally see

      • What I heard was that at least one employee who helps maintain FB and IG pages also has to pose as a customer to post on review blogs. And if you read some of the comments, some are totally suspect. Like the ones that are overly *glowing* and *enthusiastic*. Or maybe the comments throwing shade on the members who have voiced their bad experiences.

        • Please provide some kind of evidence to such a claim. That is taking this bashing a business to a whole other level. I personally have not had a problem with their customer service or their boxes. Yes I did get what some folks would call the inferior item in the variations at times but that happens with most boxes so I cannot fault just them.

If you don’t like a sub don’t buy it. But unless that have caused you serious harm (and getting one oil in lieu of another fancier brand is not serious or harmful) you really should not go out of your way to be cruel and spread rumors.

And to speak to the latest drama about the Rituals boxes, they had a glitch on their site. It happens. Not sure why everyone is so bent up about it. They did the right thing and cancelled the orders. The bad thing would have been to automatically up-charge everyone but they didn’t.

If you need my full personal details to prove I do not nor have I ever worked for them please let me know.

          • Clap back! 👏

          • I agree with you completely! Some people have to gripe in order to live. I get so tired of reading all the negative comments. Their customer service is no different than any of the other boxes I subscribe to, actually I think Glossy is making a concerted effort to improve their customer experience with their clientele. I posted earlier regarding this box, I am more than pleased with the 5 products listed and there are still 2 more to reveal. I bought 2 boxes, one for me and one to gift to my daughter. We love GLOSSY Box and yes, not every box is a complete hit, but I have a special place for those products that I do not or cannot use: I gift them to the assisted living facility that my daughter works at . The ladies LOVE getting new lippies, nail polish, facial serums, etc. So when you don’t like something – think of a way you can turn that into a positive!

        • I have yet to see anything that is over the top, gushing, overly enthusiastic, glowing, etc. I’m not saying this practice never happens, but that would not be exclusive to glossybox. I’ve read these comments. They seem fair. And honestly, some people really do like some things that someone else doesn’t. Liz is pretty savvy. I think she would catch on to overt abuse of the comments posts.

          • Well said! The Rituals box comments were crazy and so over the top dramatic. Mistakes absolutely happen but so many kept on and on about it not being “legal” with threats to contact the BBB or FTC, etc. If a website accidentally advertised a 100% off sale instead of 10% should that company be forced to give away their items for free once the error was caught? People are so ridiculous and entitled.

        • “What I heard…..”. From who? Where was this posted at? Or did you just make this up? With no proof then you made it up. This is exactly how rumors start and it’s not fair to GB. Yes they’ve had issues here lately but still no excuse for this tactic. smh

        • If you were lucky enough to not have problems with GB, that is wonderful. If you personally aren’t upset over repeated bait and switch tactics or the Ritual fake-out, again, I’m sincerely glad you’ve been untouched by this. (<—I know tone doesn’t translate, so I will just say this is absolutely sincere, not said in sarcasm)

However, just because it’s not YOUR problem doesn’t mean it’s NOT a problem.

Even if you are not a pundit on social media marketing strategies, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that this IS a tactic, albeit a shady one. Amazon, for example, lists which comments are from verified purchases. Although this is not foolproof, it is at least one layer of protection from sellers who would artificially inflate their reviews.

Liz is amazing and resourceful. She is awesome at getting stuff done. I think we can all agree that we LOVE what she does. But I don’t think we should expect her to have a dedicated team of sleuths to weed out all our problems. That is what a community is for, what a forum is for. GB is not her fault. If my comment about the possible fake comments were offensive to anyone, I sincerely apologize. I can see how real people who left positive comments might feel maligned. It’s good to know both sides of the story, and we can see that not everyone came away bruised from their encounter with GB.

That being said, I do not plan to post a screenshot or any “evidence” of the tip about the “comments assignment.” I do not want to be involved in something that might lead to someone being fired, since even I can recognize she is only doing her job. Instead, GB would be to blame. Not her.

And hey, healthy skepticism should be applied to both sides of an issue, so no harm if you judge this faulty intel. (<—sincere) I’m sure GB is above suspicion and has never done anything shady (<—ok, that last bit was sarcastic. I’ll own that one. 😙)

    • Paranoid much? lol I have been consistently positive about this LE box and I am very much NOT a shill for GB.

I paid $40 with no coupon and used $20 in dots to get it. And I pretty good with it. Even if I didn’t have dots the $40 price tag is LESS than the Sunday Riley by itself. As far as value for your money this is a definite win. Add in even 6 other travel size and you still come out ahead.

That being said, I think people are more prone to find fault with things lately than with being grateful for getting a good deal. I most likely would not have spent the full price to buy the SR product but for $40? It’s a great deal.

I won’;t be using the lip balm or the mascara and the palette I am kinda meh on BUT I am still really satisfied with the box.

    • Do you have any evidence of this? If so, that is indeed gross. If not, that’s pretty presumptive.

But I will say that my own positive comments have been real.

    • I posted a positive comment about the box, which still seems like a reasonably good deal to me, decent curation for a holiday box, and on par with their previous holiday offerings. I can confirm that I do not work for Glossybox. If I did, I think I’d maybe have better luck getting them to answer my emails.

If you personally aren’t upset over repeated bait and switch tactics or the Ritual fake-out, again, I’m sincerely glad you’ve been untouched by this. • Sorry for the duplicate post. 😓 Apparently I do not own the skills it would take for an online job.

  13. The Mascara is rated incredibly poorly on Sephora’s site pulling out with a measly 2.8 out of 5 stars.

However, I have seen some other sites like Ulta beauty (3.8 stars), and Influenster (4.4 stars) that have rated the product fairly better.

    Perhaps all is not lost?

  14. I don’t understand people saying they canceled because of this box, do people not realize this is a limited edition box that you have to opt to purchase?

    • It was available to pre-order as of last week and can still be canceled since it won’t be sent out for another couple of weeks.

    • They mean they canceled their orders of this box, not their entire subscription.

    • Yes as other people have commented, cancelled this box.

Will also cancel subscription because I’m tired of being lied to and then having to waste my time dealing with their terrible customer service.

  15. I’m loving this box more and more… ❤️ 😊✨

    • Me too!!! I haven’t pre-ordered one yet as I was waiting on spoilers and I definitely think I’m going to get one now!

  16. Ooh, I hope I like the formulas because I really like those colors! 🙂

Gotta say, I’m pretty happy with this box so far. The mascara sounds like a disappointment, but I never expect to like every single thing in a box. 🙂

    • Me too!

  17. So far, this seems like a nice balanced box to me. I like the brands included, the Sunday Riley is a home run, and I always expect to see a bright lip product and sparkly nail polish in any holiday box, so I adjust my expectations accordingly. Like many of you, I got it for points, so I’m feeling the goodwill.

  18. I canceled this box. Nothing against the model, but the makeup colors (imho) look terrible on her, and I have the same blond hair/brown eye/pale skin coloring.

  19. I don’t like the colors of the palette, but would definitely try it out for the “treatment” aspect. I have very sensitive lids and wearing eyeshadow multiple days in a row has given me dermatitis on my lids before. Hope that a palette from a skincare company will be gentle!

    • There is retinol in it so be careful, Melissa.

  20. I have s similar-shaded Skinn palette and I love the colors but they don’t have much staying power. :/

  21. Btw, these colors looks so much lighter than on the Skinn website, it’s like it’s two entirely different palettes. Not sure which image we can trust.

  22. Yuck. Cancelled, see ya Glossybox.

  23. I think all in all this is a decent enough box, just not for someone who already has everything.

With the size of stash I personally have, both skincare and makeup, I can’t even imagine when I would even use any of these, especially if the reviews for any of the items are less than stellar.

  24. This is a really nice box for $40 and super nice if you paid a lot less like most people, myself included. I would like to continue my GB sub but I’m having a hard time getting through my stockpiles of products. And I just purchased several advent calendars, holiday boxes, GWP, FFF add ons… I think I need beauty product rehab.

  25. I am soooo happy to see a palette!!! This box is nothing but pleasing me so far.

  26. Im excited to get this box. I missed out on boxy which is my favorite sub normally but after thier spoilers im glad i didnt get it. I used credits and got this glossy for 23 dollars.

    • how were you able to use credits on the box? my account says I can redeem my credit only at look fantastic website.

      • I had the same issue at first. If you go to the checkout page, and enter the amount of credits you want to redeem, then click “Apply” does it not do anything? For me it did, and I saw below my credits (on a different page) that I could redeem them on the LF site, which implied to me they were only good on LF’s site since it wasn’t working on GB’s site. I then tried a different browser, and it worked!

        • Yeah i just told it to apply my 11.22 torwards the cost and i used a link in my email for the 5dollar off deal.

  27. Looks like usable colors for me, and happy it’s not an eyeliner like some were speculating. I would probably be happy with this box for $40 (I like red lip colors) but it is even better because I only paid 10 cents.

    • Yes!! So glad it’s not an eyeliner!!😍

    • I paid $7!!

    • Wow! 10 cents is a steal!

  28. Oooh! I like this! I’ve got so many warm palettes so this cool smokey one is something I really need.
