Good to know: You may have noticed there was no August review for this box. Cuddle Crate moved locations and had problems getting some shipments from vendors. The August box got delayed to the point where they decided to cancel it and refund subscribers’ money. They kept everyone up to date with emails and the refund did actually show up on my credit card not too long after they said it would, and without extra prompting from me.

SPOT (Ethical Pet) Hug ‘n Kick – Retail Value $7.95
This is a super big kicker/wrestler type catnip toy. You can see it in photos with Angus below to get an idea of the size. Angus found it very interesting and he particularly liked when I hid treats under it. He does play with these very large toys occasionally and it is fun to watch.
Petlinks Mouse Full – Retail Value $4.60 (found on sale here for $2.69)
This is a refillable catnip toy. The fur is very soft. This was Monkey’s favorite thing in the box; he wanted to rub his chin on it. In fact, he liked this so much he wouldn’t even eat any of the treats that came in the box because he was busy licking and rubbing on this.
KONG Wubba – Retail Value $3.39 (found on sale here for $3.09)
This is another plush catnip toy, this time with crinkle paper and a rattle inside. This is a great size for tossing around and Angus has played with it some already (he plays with the toys more than the others, but he is younger and more energetic by quite a lot).
Ourpets Squirrel Backyard Friend – Retail Value $5.99
Here is another catnip plush. This is the smallest of the bunch, this month. It has some interesting texture things going on, which my cats are always fans of, and this one also makes a little chirping or squeaking sound when it moves very much. Angus is sometimes afraid of toys that make noises, but this one wasn’t scary to him. (In fact, my guess is that he will want to play with it in the bedroom in the middle of the night…)
Purina Beyond Ocean Whitefish and Egg Treats (6 oz) – Retail Value $5.63
My cats were pretty sleepy when I took photos for this box, but they did very much enjoy these treats. And this was a huge bag, too – I’m glad to have so many. These are grain free (very important for cats) and made in the USA. They have a texture kind of between a semi-moist treat and a hard treat and are small in size.
Angus liked these treats, especially after I gave him a chance to eat some away from Sneaky.

Madison was a fan of the treats, too.
He also wanted to just sit on the toys and not let the other cats have them.
Monkey, meanwhile, wanted to rub his chin all over the toys (and not do anything else), though he did stop to lick the refillable catnip mouse.

Mr. Kitty has had a rough couple of days. He is on a medication right now that makes him a bit sluggish, and we’re treating him for an eye infection, so I didn’t bother him too much.
Verdict: I calculated a value of about $28 for the November Cuddle Crate for cats box (less using sale prices). That is lower than the month-to-month cost of the box, but it is quite a bit better than last month. It might be nice to receive just one more small item to round out the value a bit. (Cats are usually just fine with inexpensive toys!) The items, themselves, were popular with my cats, especially the treats, which were from a product line I hadn’t tried before. There may be a little more value in getting the mixed-species package for this subscription (this is one of the only subscriptions that caters to hamsters/gerbils and rabbits/guinea pigs as well as dogs and cats), as well as in signing up for a longer-term subscription to lower costs a bit.
