As with most Bespoke Post boxes, Perch comes with an info card detailing both items in the box. The Perch box features two items that would be great for tailgating, car camping, or even just around the house - a wood and leather stool and a citronella candle.
Badlands Leather Camp Stool from C.C. Supply - Retail Value $50?
The main item in Perch is this beautifully crafted stool from C.C. Supply. I wasn’t able to find this particular stool online anywhere so the value is a best guess based on similar stools out there. This stool comes in two pieces - the legs do not permanently attach to the seat making it easy to pack up and toss in the back seat. The leather on my seat was well worn and slightly dirty, but that gave it a little character. It’s very tough, thick and well-stitched. This could be a cool piece of functional decor in your home too, if (like me) you didn’t end up going camping or tailgating as often as you had hoped this fall. This easily supported my weight and didn’t feel in danger of collapsing. One complaint I had was that the bolts are fairly loose, so there’s definite risk of pinching your fingers between the legs when you’re trying to put the seat together. I tightened them up a little but they do need to have some looseness to function properly.
Citronella Soy Camp Candle - Retail Value $10?
The second item this month is this 8oz citronella camp candle. I’m guessing at the value on this one too as I believe this may have been made just for Bespoke Post. This soy-based wax candle can be burned indoors if you are feeling the heavy citronella scent. I’m not a huge fan of citronella so this was a bit of a miss for me personally as a home item, but I’ll definitely get use out of it next summer on the porch!
Verdict: I think this is a pretty cool little collection from Bespoke Post. The stool is a versatile piece that can be used in a variety of ways, and the candle will come in handy to keep pests away in the warmer months. Based on my guesses, you’re getting around $60 worth of products for the $45 price tag, so the value is there for me.
