Make matcha a part of your morning ritual. Or afternoon. Or evening. Essentially anytime you could use a moment to unwind over a warm beverage, settle in and brew yourself some matcha. Full of health benefits and made from only the freshest green tea leaves out of Japan, the drink’s got centuries of history. More likely, though, you’ve seen it at that hip café around the corner — but you shouldn’t have to travel even that far for a cup. With this lineup from Matchæologist, you don’t.
But how does it work? You’ll start by measuring out your matcha with the bamboo spoon, or chashaku, and adding it to the chawan — the glass bowl where you’ll blend your drink. Once the matcha’s inside, you’ll simply add hot water, then whisk the mixture with the bamboo whisk, or chasen, until it’s the consistency you like. Seriously, you’ll be sipping in no time.
