The wines arrive in a giant, nondescript cardboard box. Inside, the bottles were safely sitting in specially made cardboard trays, which keep 'em still and crack-free.

90+ Cellars Lot 143 Classic Series Cotes Du Rhone, France 2016 - Retail Value $11.99 (Club Price $10.19)

This first blend comes from France and is made from Syrah and Grenache that are grown on vines over 30 years old. At first taste, you are really hit with a strong berry flavor that makes the wine very tart. I could really taste the black cherry and raspberry which make the wine rather sweet. There is a light spice that makes each sip go down easily. While this wasn't my favorite blend, I loved discovering the layers of berry flavors in this glass!

90+ Cellars Lot 121 Collector Series Cuvee Royale, France 2011 - no longer available on 90+ Cellars

This Cellars Collection series wine was put to the side of the 90+ Cellars warehouse a few years ago to let it age with a few other cases. The wine was brought out specifically to share with the Wine Club! This was a very dark wine that has a smooth and spicy finish. I could really smell and taste the plums that mixed so nicely with the light layer of spice. What a treat to be able to drink a nicely aged wine!

90+ Cellars Lot 21 French Fusion, France 2015 -Retail Value $11.99 (Club Price $10.19)

A French Fusion wine made from Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvedre that is grown at a family-owned vineyard. I thought this wine was so light and refreshing. You can really taste a berry sweetness, but then there is a pepper-like spice that lingers at the end of each sip. I have never tried French Fusion wine before so I love how much I am learning this month about this type of wine!

Iron Side Reserve Pinot Noir, Monterey, CA 2016 - Retail $24.99 (Club Price $21.24)

Hands down my favorite wine from this month's box, I might be sipping on some now! This Iron Side Reserve is a newer Pinot Noir, and the Wine Club is getting the first try of these bottles. This wine is bold while also being refreshing and light. You get that beautiful berry sweetness with a spice that lingers at the end. For me, this is the perfect example of a bold Pinot Noir that is great for the cooler Fall weather.

90+ Cellars Lot 145 Reserve Series Pinot Noir 2015 - Retail $19.99 (Club Price $16.99)

This wine comes from the heart of Oregon's Willamette Valley and is another Wine Club first! The wine itself is very sweet with a beautiful light red tone. I could really taste a tart raspberry flavor. This Pinot Noir, instead of a bold spice, had a light sweet spice at the end of each sip. Such a unique wine that was unlike other Pinots I have tried!

90+ Cellars Lot 144 Classic Series Chianti, Italy 2013 - Retail $11.99 (Club Price $10.19)

This wine is best if it has one year in barrel and two years in bottle, perfectly aged! A Classic Series wine coming from Tuscany. I was able to discover so many different levels of flavors in this wine! A thicker wine with a beautiful floral scent and flavor. There are so many spices that make this so smooth to drink. A light vanilla flavor provides a soft sweetness that breaks through all of the spices. Another very special treat!

The Verdict: This was my first box from the 90+ Cellars Wine Club. My initial thought was, how am I going to drink all of this wine?! The Red Wine Club really provides you with everything you could possibly need, and since it arrives once a quarter you can really build your wine collection. This box highlighted so many exclusive wines that are just for the Wine Club with new wines or aged wines. Everything felt curated specifically for each and every member to really provide an elevated experience in wine tasting. Red wine is my go-to so I love that you can select to receive only reds in your box. This Fall box provides such a great variety of reds that will be great during the upcoming holiday season and then a few that are great for a casual pizza night. I can't wait to watch the 90+ Cellars Wine Club and see what they have to offer next quarter!

Sounds like a really interesting box! I’m pregnant right now, so I can’t indulge. But I’ll keep it in mind for the future! Hopefully by then, they will ship to my state, lol. 😅
