I was at first going to note that this box looked really appealing, and then I read past subscribers’ (fair) comments …. Thank you for the heads up, this is one of the reasons why I appreciate MSA, to hear what other people have experienced so I can make an informed decision 🙂

not thanksgiving in my house w/o sweet potato casserole (no marshmallows) and some form of pie (that crisp is breakfast, not thanksgiving dessert.) jmo 🙂

I also tried this subscription and canceled. For me felt the recipes and food pretty bland. Prefer Green Chef.

This looks great! I always do the Alton Brown turkey, but it would be nice to have something ready to go because the prep-work for the AB version takes days (but it’s oh so good)!

I don’t do anything Martha. Period.

I know I’m probably in the minority but I actually enjoy cooking and holiday cooking is one of my favorite things to do. I can see how this could be worth it to a lot of people though.

I’ve actually tried this subscription box and I really don’t recommend it. Produce arrived not fresh and sometimes squashed. Recipes not great! I did it for a month. I prefer homechef and plated.

I’ve had the same experience. I think one of the biggest challenged is that they send the ingredients in paper bags instead of plastic ones so the product dries out and goes limp very quickly. Plated has more interesting recipes than Home Chef but I’ve had some quality issues with their meats, so Home Chef is my favorite.

I agree the brown bags don’t do produce any favors, but the last box i got while in paper had some of the individual items inside in separate baggies.

My first instinct was to add up the cost of the ingredients to see how much of a premium this box would cost over the ingredients and then it hit me: I wouldn’t have to research recipes!! I wouldn’t have to go to the store!! If I didn’t already have travel plans and dinner reservations for Thanksgiving, I would be all over this. If they do one for Christmas, I am signing up.

Personally, researching recipes and trying new (and keeping traditional) things is half the fun … especially if I have to cook it myself Lol best be something I KNOW there’s a great chance i’m going to like. I can definitely see the appeal though 🙂
