Candy Club is a candy subscription that sends 2-3 pounds of premier brand name candy to you each month. Each delivery contains 4 different types of candy which you can choose yourself or leave as a surprise.

You’ll receive four different types of candy each month. Three will arrive in cups and the fourth will be loose candy in the box.

They no longer offer the option of selecting sweets, sours, or sweets + sours – instead, you’ll take a short quiz to decide what types of candies you’d like to receive each month.

The box changes each month and I really love the mint color they chose this time! I also think that Candy Club's packaging is kind of unparalleled by others. It's always fun, sturdy, and nothing gets melty or busted thanks to the silver insulated bubble wrap. The containers are also really cute.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Oppenheimer Atomic Extra Sour Chewy Filled Candy - Buy a large bag for $14.49

The first candies you'll notice are always a monthly mystery that they throw in as a bonus. This month they've included Atomic Extra Sour candies that hail from Brazil. I've never had these before, so I am excited to try. They are like a sour version of Laffy Taffy! Sweet, yet pucker-inducing.

Kervan Peachy Penguin Gummi - Buy a pound for $6.99

Well, it's hockey (pre)season again, and that means Penguins (at least here in Pittsburgh). You'd never guess these black and white gummi penguins would be peach flavored, but they are! Quite a surprise. Black candy always makes me think of licorice. These tuxedoed flightless birds are super soft, but actually don't pack as much of a peach punch as I'd like.

Dorval Sour Power Green Apple Belts - Buy a pound for $5.35

I got these once before in Candy Club and was overwhelmed by the sourness! It still holds true this time. Each one of these 10 inch long "belts" is coated in super sour sugar that makes my taste buds scream for mercy. It's not until moments later that you can tell that they're green apple flavored.

Albanese Gummi Strawberry Banana Rings - Get 4.5 lbs for $15.99

The fourth and final candy this month is in the form of fruity rings, though not my favorite peach flavor. I am NOT a fan of banana flavored candy at all, so these are not exciting for me. They are squishy soft half n half strawberry and banana flavored, coated in sugar, but I can taste that fake banana through it all. 🙁

Verdict: I let Candy Club randomly choose my candy this month and it didn't pay off for me. The penguins were the only thing I got excited about but their flavor fell flat for me. Moving forward, I have to remember to choose what I want so that it will be totally worth it for me. I received about three pounds of candy which makes the cost $12.99 per pound since the box cost a total of $38.98 after shipping.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You won't get this exact box since you can either choose your candy or have it chosen at random for you!

Value Breakdown: At $38.98 for this box, you're paying about $12.99 per pound of candy.

I tried this subscription once – had a promo code for$20 off the first box and it ended up coming to 18.95 with shipping. Still pricey, but better.
The selection was rather lacking for my area compared to what they full offer elsewhere. Mostly sours and gummies – things you can easily buy at your local Dollar Tree or grocery store. I ended up choosing Cowtails, the Oreo Bites, and Chocolate Covered Cashews. They all taste good, but again I thought I would get more for my money. I didn’t. When my box got here today I heard the spare candies rolling around. I thought it would be some yummy vintage treat like I’ve seen in other boxes online…what did I get? Effin’ Smarties…seriously? The LAST candies that kids eat when all the other Halloween candy is gone…mother effin’ Smarties. Strike 1.
They say you’re supposed to get 1lb of each candy = 3lbs total if you do the choose 3 candies. Well I noticed when I tracked my order the weight wasn’t just a little over 2.8lbs – IF they truly did 3 lbs of candy like they said then with the box and packing it should have been over that…so strike 2
The monetary break down AFTER your first box. $29.99+$8.95 S&H – almost $40 for less than 3lbs of mediocre candy that you can buy way cheaper at Dollar Tree. If I had paid full monthly price for these candies I would have just paid $12.98 for 20 mini Cowtails. OUCH! Strike 3.
While this is a REALLY good idea and I did enjoy eating some of the candy before my husband took the rest for what you get vs. pricing it’s just not worth it. Take that money and go buy bulk at your local grocery store or nearest candy shop. Where I am sure they will have more selections and better deals.

I signed up about a year ago and it seemed pretty expensive then but I sucked it up in order to try some different candies and I thought I could give some away for gifts during the holiday season. I actually still have some left that I’m plowing through so they definitely give you alot of candy per month. But the cost has gone up considerably even since then and it appears as though the amount of “free” loose candy they throw in the box has decreased considerably too. It used to almost fill up one of my empty containers from a previous month. Now it just seems to be a few scattered pieces. I don’t think I can justify re-subbing….

I feel like this subscription is outrageously expensive for what you get. I’d pay $15 max for this.

I run a candy store and carry these brands of candy. They cost about $2 a pound for wholesale. I can’t believe how much they’re charging! Their cost for the candy and packaging materials is likely $10 or less.

I wanted to love this subscription, but had to cancel after my first month. I think I used a deal and got like $20 off, but I can’t imagine paying $40 a month for this! The candy was alright, but my main issue is their selection. The candy they have available changes daily (not monthly like advertised) and selection is based on location. When it was time for me to order my 2nd box they only had a few things in each category, none of which I was interested in. There were some candies posted online that I was really excited about, but was never given the option.

If you’ve got any left over Strawberry/banana rings you can send them to me! LOL! They are my FAVORITE albanese candy.
