Every box includes a cute 'People Bag' with a treat for the human recipient of the box. This time I got a lollipop!

Tendon Dog Treat? – Value $3.29? (value based on a similar item)

I didn't get a clearer photo of this, but I believe it's a dog tendon treat. I wish that Beagle Box would send a card with information about the items included because sometimes they're a little hard to identify. It's not a problem for me but could be an issue for dogs with allergies.

Jasper really likes natural treats like this, but it takes him a little while to warm up to it because of the shape.

Cow Tail Dog Treat? – Value $2.29? (value based on a similar item)

I think this one is some kind of tail.

Jasper liked this one too. He always has to have something to chew on, and this type of chew lasts a long time.

Crazy Dog Walkies! Fit Bites Bacon Flavor Dog Treats, 4-oz bag – Retail Value $5.99 (found on sale at for $3.49)

These little treats had a strong meaty smell.

They're shaped like feet! People feet. I'm not quite sure why dogs would eat treats shaped like human feet, but they're kind of cute.

These were the surprise hit of the box! Jasper loved them. He ate half the bag in one sitting before I realized I'd better save them for bribes.

ZippyPaws Monkey RopeTugz Plush & Rope Dog Toy –Retail Value $11.97

This is my third Beagle Box and each one has included a monkey toy! They definitely have a theme going.

It looks like Jasper's in a moment of serious contemplation, but I think he's just wondering where the Walkies treats went. However, five minutes after this photo was taken, he was growling in a game of tug-of-war. The monkey held up well – Jasper is a big dog and we were both pulling hard on our ends.

For anyone who gets this toy, a word of advice: choose one end for yourself and one for the dog, and never mix them up. If you pick it up by the wrong end, it's a big slobbery mess! Jasper loved this though, so it's worth it.

Charming Large Barkers Black Oak Squeak Toy – Retail Value $8.98

For me, this log was love at first sight. (I kept thinking of the Ren & Stimpy song.) The best part is that the stuffed branch goes all the way through the log, so you can pull it out from either side.

OK, Jasper wasn't as smitten with this as I was, at least not at first. He was too distracted by the Walkies snacks to care about anything else. But later, he enjoyed playing with this and, as always, tried to chew its eyes off. He likes toys with a low squawk like this one has, rather than the ones with a high-pitched squeal.

Verdict: I estimate a retail value around $33, which is a little below the $36 price of the box – but I was guessing on a couple of items. The box had a good mix of toys and treats. The toys are definitely appropriate for a big dog, and it's nice to have clean ones arriving every month, as they do eventually get dirty and/or destroyed.

I believe the cow tail treat is a bully stick. My dogs love them! Would not be my fave part of a bull, but my dogs think otherwise haha!
