Ipsy Reveals Are Up for the September 2017 Glam Bag!

I’m a little grumpy because I cancelled BEFORE the time they said you had to cancel, even if it was a bit under the wire, and I still got charged. Not really excited for this bag.

I mean, firstly, that bag design? Kinda boring and ugly. (Still a little disappointed that out of the three bags last month I got the only one that I didn’t want).

Secondly…yay, more sheet masks….

Like, how many sheet masks do they think we need?

Eh, whatever, I got that powder cleanser and a primer and a brush, so that looks interesting. And a nude lipgloss, which…meh.

It looks like I will be getting:

Tarte lights, camera, lashes mascara (tried this before, one of the few mascaras I can wear – happy to get this one)

Smashbox photo radiance primer (very excited for this one, too)

Pixi blush by Petra – I need more blush (only have one Tarte blush), and this could be good. Will see what it looks like on me.)

2 Manefit masks Lily & mugwort (will be nice to try)

Elizabeth Mott pop eyeshadow in toasted or gunmetal (hoping for toasted. Will see how it compares to other shadow brands)

Overall – very happy with my first bag! A good mix of things I want/need and stuff to try out. The classy bag is very nice, too!

I finally got my Glam Bag Reveal and I’m underwhelmed. I’m getting:

1. Luxie Rose Gold medium angled shading brush (received a precision angled shading brush by R&L in May 17)

5. Pretty Woman Nail Polish in Girl Boss (Don’t mind getting nail polish, but that blue one looked gorgeous!)

None of these have me too excited, but I’m also not upset about any of them either. I really wanted the Tarte mascara or a lippi. I guess I am getting a lip product in my Play! by Sephora sub this month.

I’ve never had this happen in two years, but Ipsy isn’t showing me whats in my bag. Its showing me the entire list of products on the “my glam bag” page. And the first five keep switching so those aren’t it. Has anyone else had this happen?

I absolutely LOVE Ipsy! I have tried 5 other subs in about a 2 year timeframe and Ipsy is the ONLY monthly beauty sub I am still with. That being said, I am pretty disappointed this month. The only things I’m looking forward to are the bag and the item I requested, the smashbox primer. It’s my birthday month and the only thing in my Glambag that makes sense is the 1 item I requested??? They don’t do anything for birthday’s but idk how many subs do either. They have a pretty extensive personal beauty profile but lately, I’m not sure why. They don’t seem to be using it or reviews either. Looking at the products available this month, my profile and what I’m getting, it’s like an opposite bag for my birthday month. Everything but the smashbox primer is better suited for someone else’s age, skin type, skin tone and needs. I don’t get it… Happy Birthday! Here’s a Glambag full of products that you won’t be able to use! Oh well… I guess I’ll set it all aside for someone half my age with very light skin.

I am receiving those 5 items in my bag too. I requested the ColourPop lippie, so I’m excited about that. I have been trying as many new mascaras as I can, so there’s another win. The other three items will be swapped. That Pixi blush is nearly identical to the color I received last month, I make all my own skincare so I don’t want any of that, and I don’t wear gel polish. That’s only 40% to the good, so I was rather disappointed.

I wanted the lippie styx i’ve never tried colourpop lip products and i requested it but i never got an answer. I didn’t get it. Sad

I had an ipsy subscription for a few months over a year ago. After seeing some recent bag reviews here I decided I need more makeup in my life and re-subscribed. This month will be my first bag since I’ve been back, and I’m pretty excited. I am getting:

– ColorPop Ultra Glossy Lip in VIP (yesssss! I was about to go get a similar colored gloss at the store tomorrow and now don’t have to)

– Tarte Deluxe Lights/Camera/Lashes (not my favorite mascara, but my regular one has just about ran out so this will get me through)

– Eva NYC Zero Gravity Volume Powder (meh… I need more volume, but the powders don’t tend to impress me – maybe this one will change my opinion though)

– Pixi by Petra Beauty Blush Duo in Peach Honey (I looooove blushes and don’t have a straight peach one, just a peachy pink, so I’m excited about trying this)

– Elizabeth Mott Pop! Goes The Shadow in Toasted or Gunmetal (realllllllly praying for Toasted because I like browns more than greys — I pretty much never wear grey — but, honestly, love chrome so could probably make either work)

Overall – this first bag back is EXCITING and I can’t wait to play with everything.

I really wish Ipsy would stop saying on my account “shipping between the 5th & the 10th” then the next day it’s moved to 6th & 10th & so on when every month it goes out on the 10th (which is a Sunday so probably now the 11th).
I’m fine with getting it by the 15th.

I’m pretty happy with it. I haven’t tried the Tarte mascara, but I’ve heard good thing. The Blush Duo looks like it will be good for travel. I haven’t tried that particular Smashbox primer. I hope it isn’t too shimmery.

I still don’t know what I’m getting. It always seems like I’m a few days behind everyone else. Just really really hoping Ipsy finally listened and I don’t get any black eyeliner.
