Just for an update. I e-mailed ipsy and was told

“Starting in October, you’ll no longer be able to write to us and request specific products for future Glam Bags, but be on the lookout for another fun product personalization opportunity coming soon! ”

sucks that they stopped it right after I found out about it.

Looking into the Blac mask.. just read it ships from Australia. Just FYI if you love the sample and order it, it takes a bit longer to receive. But reviews say it’s worth the wait

I was just looking into the Vit c Eye cream and it powder.
I like to read reviews on other sites as well as more product info. Just an FYI…I saw that Ulta has Free it products worth $45.00 with any it purchase. So if you don’t get the powder and ask for it, you can try through Ulta.

I sent an e-mail asking the sizes of the mask and eye cream to make a better informed decision… but they sent me back “at least one of these picks will be in your October bag”… first Ipsy CS fail for me, lol. I’ll just see what I get! The first time I ever sent in picks I asked for two and got BOTH (!), then the next month I sent in two and got the one that I wanted a lot less. Lesson learned and I have not asked for two again- we’ll see what happens!

I don’t see the point in requesting a spoiler. It doesn’t seem like they follow through. Last month I was told I could get the DLS lipgloss and I’m not getting it. Im probably cancelling. This month sucks. Another teeny eyeshadow sample and a sheet mask. Worthless.

Its pretty much guarenteed as long as you ask for something from first list. I have always got what I requested. Most people were told no when they asked for DLS lippie.

Just to clarify Emily, Ipsy told you that either the Blaq mask or the Context eye cream will be in your bag, but possibly you might get both? So you decided to not request anything specific?
Last month was the 1st time I asked for one of the spoilers but so far I haven’t decided whether to this month. I guess I’m thinking I might end up asking for something that was going to be in my bag anyway. Other than the beige eyeshadow I’d be happy with any of the spoilers Liz has shown us.

The fail is that she was asking for what the size of the sample was, and instead of answering, just automatically said one would be in the bag, hahah.

I bet the rep just sped-read and didn’t catch that it was a question about weights instead of request.

I believe you can only request from the first list. I guess you can try to ask but usually they will say no if you request something that’s not on the guaranteed list of items.

I can’t speak for everyone but I have requested off other spoilers and have always gotten it. It might depend on how many they get of an item but I think they always re getting used to people requesting items so they are very accommodating.

Ooh, I like! I’d be happy if this was my bag contents, lol. I requested the eye cream, since ipsy sends those to me less often. Hopefully, if I give it a positive review, ipsyMatch will give them to me more often!

Anyone else bothered by the fact that the Blaq mask has alcohol in it? I’ve been wanting to try a mask like this but I would think alcohol is going to dry out my skin.

Huh. Unfortunately none of these spoilers are doing it for me. I already have the powder and eyeliner, can’t stand loose shadows, and am indifferent to the mask and eye cream. I’m hoping they’ll release a few more October spoilers and some will pique my interest – otherwise I might cancel ipsy.

It’s funny, this time last year I had 9 different box subscriptions, 7 of which were beauty subs. Now I’m down to 3, and ipsy is my last remaining beauty sub. I guess it is possible to have too much of a good thing.

I really like how ipsy keeps us engaged all month long. I like the new little doodled timeline and I like that there is so much content on their website. Spoilers throughout the month, reviewing after the bag comes, racking up points, deals, giveaways… all of those things are part of why I love ipsy so much, besides, of course, that I love the products and their sizes and great value for my $10.

I am thrilled to see an eyeshadow that isn’t brown or a buff/nude color that can also be used as a highlighter. I had too many of those a year ago. Now they all go up for swap.

Also thrilled to see an Urban Decay item (and it looks half size, not a tiny dinky sample), and I will request it even though I have a gazillion black eyeliners (and plenty up for swap) and generally only like liquid or felt tip, but, Urban Decay, so yeah. Good thing I get two bags so I can request both items!

I can’t use the IT powder, it makes me look like a dried up raisin. I have wayyyy too much problems with loose eyeshadows. I finally got my skincare figured out so I dont want a mask. Eye cream? No, they don’t do anything for my skin. But that UD eyeliner is a HG of mine! I am down to a tiny nub of a pencil currently, so getting a new one makes me so happy! That definitely makes up for the Ipsy CS nightmare I’ve been dealing with for August. I’m finally going to *keeping my fingers crossed* get my August bag September 8th! 2 months ago I ordered a product with my points, and still haven’t gotten it! I’d cancel but I just love these little bags so much!

Kimberly do you have 2 different profiles & what’s your experience been with getting 2 different bags? How often do you get duplicates? I think it’s so interesting & I’m just curious so whatever you post is appreciated.

I also have 2 profiles. But mine are same age, just that preferences are set for skincare on one profile and the other profile is set for makeup. Surprisingly, September is the first month that I received all dupes. Don’t know what happened. But normally the other 8 months I have had these 2 bags have been great. I normally get 1 or 2 out of 5 items that are dupes. I do change my profiles every month. But it’s worth it. I keep the dupes I love, it’s nice to have extra. And the dupes that are `meh` I re-gift to my family since they love anything makeup.

I’ve gotten 2 bags for a while. It’s hit or miss with dupes. Two VERY different profiles/ages, but I’m getting 4/5 dupes for September. I switched things around again and hoping for better in October.

Yes, the bag is not my style, it’s writing that destroys it, 😕 but the samples are OK.

I would have said maybe the IT powder, but reviews here are not kind about dryness & lines & I just got a Bare Minerals matte powder from BoxyCharm last month.

Just hope the October bag is cute ghosties 👻 or pumpkins 🎃

I’ve sampled the powder before and wasn’t a fan. It accentuated my fine lines and dried out my skin. I requested the eye cream — I can never have too much skincare! 🙂

I agree about the the IT Cosmetics Powder… I was absolutely not impressed with it at all especially for the retail price. I actually use the NYX HD Finishing Powder for only $9.99. It works the best on my face and so affordable.
I requested the MEECH & MIA Loose Eyeshadow in Beige. It looks so pretty!
At least I am gauranteed an Eyeshadow that I will actually wear this month!

I requested the Urban Decay pencil. I already have too many black eyeliners but I love all Urban Decay so I couldn’t resist that at all.

I’m really hoping my September bag has sheet masks and/or nail polish in it.

I’ll most probably request for the pressed powder. Something different to try.

I will say if anyone is curious, I’ve owned the urban decay eyeliner and it’s amazing! Possibly the best I’ve ever owned. Never smudges and truly lasts with a very strong black color. I recommended it.

I received that probably over a year ago, from Ipsy. It was amazing! I wanted to go buy it but couldn’t bring myself to pay $20 for an eyeliner. lol. If I hadn’t got it already, I would have requested it! The 24/7 lip liner is great also!

Ipsy does more than one round of these spoilers right? I’m really tempted by the IT Cosmetics bye bye pores pressed powder cuz it’s something I’d never be able to afford for myself but then again I have FOMO too lol if I wait will they run out of the IT Cosmetics? What do you ladies think? I need some advice on this one please?? ❤️

It will likely be a sample size, but everyone or mostly everyone seems to want it. The full size has a high retail value of $29. The urban decay pencil is nice but there are SO many black eye pencils out there. The eyeshadows are pretty but not that expensive really, the black mask doesn’t say it will remove blackheads, the eye cream doesn’t say anything about circles or bags. For me, it was easy because I received an “IT” product before and it was GREAT! I also haven’t received a great powder lately that will decrease pore size.

Unless the shadows are a tiny sample size compared to the size of Meech and Mia’s website, it’s actually a sort of pricey thing? (for me anyway hahah).

At 13GBP, that’s almost 17USD for 1.5grams of shadow (full-size from the brand’s site). I’ve paid a dollar before for 1 gram of loose shadow that’s AMAZING quality (Shiro cosmetics).

I’ve already ruled out the purple eyeshadow which I think is a great color but I have one from another brand that is almost the exact same color. Thanks also for the UD info I love the few products I’ve tried from that brand but again, I have too many black eyeliners already. Decisions decisions.
