Bullymake Box is a monthly subscription box for power chewers. You all have heard about (and seen) some of Nyx’s exploits with plush toys from dog subscription boxes so when I heard about this one, I had to sign up immediately. Nyx is definitely a power chewer! You pick your dog’s weight in 10-pound increments so this is a box for an 80-pound dog. (Nyx weighs about 87 right now—she has changed weight in the past few months due to medication issues.)

The Cost: $39 a month (save with 3, 6, and 12-month subscriptions)
The Products: Toys and treats specifically tailored for heavy chewing dogs (no plushes). You can also choose a “toys only” box. Because of Nyx’s dietary issues, I went with the “toys only” box. You can also enter specific allergy information in a box on the checkout screen.
Ships to: USA (free!), Canada for $8, and Internationally for an additional cost
Good to know: if you want a toys-only box, you must select that during sign-up. Otherwise, you will get the default box, which does include some treats.

Not all boxes are the same due to the fact that you can choose your dog’s size in 10-pound increments and set your preferences (treats or no treats), but there is usually an information card highlighting an item or two from the box.
American Dog Infinity Tug – Value $14.00
Nyx loves to play tug. Nyx is very, very strong. She will pull me out of a chair if I am sitting down and I try to play tug with her. My husband has better luck. Nyx is often so lazy she will flop down on the floor and demand my husband drags her around! Anyway, this toy has held up to some of that so far. It is a heavy nylon material that crinkles a little but has no stuffing.
Multipet Nuts for Knots 2-Knot Rope with Rope Ball - Value $9.99?
According to the manufacturer, this item is new and not available for direct-to-consumer purchasing! So anyway, I have assigned it a value consistent with some of the other Multipet knot toys. (I kind of took an average across a variety of listings.) Nyx has been very interested in rope toys lately. When we are not tugging, she will happily sit there and chew on them. So, of course, she liked this one.
Cherry Bomb by Bullymake - Value $19.00
Bullymake has been sending Bullymake-branded items the past few months. These toys have generally been quite good for us. This one has a rope part, a rubber ball that is super durable (and actually kind of heavy), and the ball can double as a treat dispenser. Nyx won’t bite or chew on the ball part (she is more interested in the rope). There are a few treats she can have, so I am going to stick in the ball part tonight and see what happens.
Peanut Butter Stick Chew by Bullymake - Value $19.00
Nylon chews are some of Nyx’s favorite toys. We’ve had great luck with them, even with her IBD–so far, none of the flavors have caused her any digestive issues. This one is pretty heavy and dense, and I think Nyx will be able to play with it a couple of additional times before we have to take it away. She is pretty intense when she gets going with a toy like this. (Angus the cat was circling the room, watching Nyx in utter fascination while she had this, but I couldn’t get any good Angus photobombs, sorry.)

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $62.00 for the September 2017 Bullymake Box. That’s a good value for a $40.00 dog box. Everything in the box has been durable so far for us, anyway, though of course, every dog is different. Also, Nyx is not too particular when it comes to toys, so she’ll play with pretty much everything that comes with this subscription, from rope to nylon to canvas to hard rubber. That, as well as the ability to choose a “no treats” option, makes this subscription a good fit for us.
