I didn’t receive a note from my stylist this month, but if I had, it would be included here.
Here’s what my stylist picked for me this month:
Serene Timeless Eye Serum, Ching Beauty - Cost to keep: $13.26 (Retail Value $35)
This lightweight, super moisturizing eye serum says it will not only help retain a youthful plumpness to the delicate skin under the eyes, but also help with puffiness and dark circles. I don’t know how well it works for dark circles but I have lots of puffiness and I think this helps my eyes look refreshed and less puffy. I also love that it keeps the skin under my eyes super hydrated all day. The pump works well, although it gives you a lot of product per pump, and the bottle is pretty.
Priming Lip Wand in Tarte, Manna Kadar - Cost to keep: $9.10 (Retail Value $24)
Whoa, bright! This is definitely a great summer color. This is one of several colors in Manna Kadar’s Lip Locked line of lip crayons with built-in primers. My tube says step 3 on it and I’m not sure what the other 2 steps are so I just use it by itself. It took me a bit to get used to this neon pink color, but I love the formula so much that now I use it all the time. It glides on easily and with opaque color. It takes a few minutes to set and then it lasts for hours without fading off. Also, my lips don’t get dry or crack while wearing it. Thumbs up!
Luxlight Illuminator in Arclight, Eddie Funkhouser - Cost to keep: $4.54 (Retail Value $11.99)
If you ever feel like you need a little pick-me-up around your eyes, then this might be just the product for you. With a couple of twists of the click stick, the brush loads up with a matte, non-shimmery, light reflecting liquid that is perfect for under and around eyes. It is also great for highlighting the high points of your face. It isn’t the typical highlighter because it doesn’t reflect light in an attention drawing way but provides more of a brightening, awake effect. It doesn’t settle into my fine lines, dry out my skin, or get cakey throughout the day. I’ve run into a few more expensive products like this and this one works well and has a great price.
Blush + Glo in Coral, Beauty For Real - Cost to keep: $9.10 (Retail Value $24)
Double duty makeup is great for someone who does their makeup at work or in the car, like me! I like that I can get both my blush and highlight with the same tube. The formulas are great. They’re subtle enough for daily wear and work really well on their own if I don’t have time for foundation. Each end has a subtle vanilla scent and a hint of shimmer.
Here are swatches of the Priming Lip Wand, Blush + Glo Hi Beam and Coral Crush, and Arclight Illuminator.
Here I am wearing all of the products from this month’s collection. I patted the eye serum on before applying my foundation then added a little bit of the Arclight Illuminator under my eyes and under my brows. Then I applied the Blush + Glo Coral Crush to the apples of my cheeks and the Hi Beam to my cheekbones. To finish the look, I filled in my lips with the Priming Lip Wand.
Verdict: This month’s Wantable Makeup Collection is a hit! I will be keeping all of my items (so I’ll receive the discount next month) and I really like everything I received. The retail value of this collection is $94.99 with free shipping. That’s almost $40 lower in value than last month, but I don’t feel shorted because everything will be used and enjoyed. This collection was heavily beauty related with one skincare item. There were also two of the same type of product, highlighters, which is unusual for Wantable. My hope for next month is to continue to receive new, awesome products that have a high-value.
