There was no card in this box so let's get straight to the items!

Rym Coffee, Tea, Me? Cup in Cubs in a Cupboard - Value $20

I was DE-LIGHT-ED as soon as I put my eyes on this charming blue bear printed cup. I love line drawings and especially ones with a nice dose of weird. The blue bears on this cup have fierce but adorable expressions as they show their pointy teeth. There are mountains on the back which give the bears a nice place to live. If I wanted to gift this cup (no chance because I love it) I'd be set because it also came in a giftable cardboard box with a screen printed design. The cup is a nice size for a cup of tea (about 3 1/2" tall) and made of 100% porcelain.

Rym Cuttings' Crib Planter - Value $38

I was glad to see another item Rym in this box since their cute bear cup spoke straight to my heart. This is a brand I had seen a few years ago and completely forgotten about! This item is a petite hanging planter made of stoneware with leather hanging straps. I've been wanting to pick up a hanging planter to vary bring variety to my house plant game and this is a great one. It's pretty small so will best suit a baby succulent or air plant.

Halló Sápa Volcanic Ash Soap - Value $7

This soap is made from volcanic ash hand-harvested from Iceland's geothermal lava fields. That sounds so fancy. The light gray and speckled soap has a definite ashy scent. The soap's antibacterial sulfur is said to stimulate collagen and slow down skin's aging process. I can't speak to that just yet (time still seems to be moving forward for me) but I will say it makes the skin feel super clean and purified. I like to use this once or twice a week to avoid drying out my skin.

Verdict: My very first Heima Box had a value of $65 which is more than twice the price of the box at $29.  This box was a hit for me because I love the Nordic/Scandinavian design and housewares. I was a little unsure of which box style to choose but am glad I went with Minimal with a hint of Boho. I like a bit of fun in my housewares but nothing too bright or rustic, and the Heima Box fit my style very well. I'm really looking forward to my next box and am tempted to try out one of the larger boxes or even multiple styles!

I love this, I’d like to subscribe but I’m really confused when I go to their site as there are sooo many boxes and it doesn’t say “minimal with boho” or any of the other options you stated. Each box has a special name….

Update for anyone interested: I reached out to customer service and asked if my box was missing an item or if I was sent a medium box by mistake. I received a really nice response from the owner of the company saying that YES, my box was most definitely missing an item and offering to make it right. We’ll see what happens but I’m really happy with the fast and sincere response. We also just received our first box from their “Born” baby collection and I’m really happy with the contents. Perfect items for our son and things that I wouldn’t find shopping in the US! 🙂

Did you end up receiving your missing item? And what did you get in the Born box? Very interested. 🙂

Hey! Not yet but the owner assures me it’s coming with my box this month. She has been AWESOME about trying to understand my style and make things right. The kids box, I wish I had a better format to review because it’s truly amazing. For reference we have a 2.5 YO son. We got an incredible sweatshirt by Winter Water Factory, unlike anything I’ve ever seen, organic cotton and just darling, and a sweet ghost night light my son is obsessed with, and two super cute wooden mountain wall pegs, and a quirky little patch to put on his backpack. Totally perfect for his age and items we wouldn’t have found!

I just received my large box and I wish I could say I’m pleased. Super disappointed. I got a Ryan brand teacup and saucer ($20 each at houseofrym website) in black and white, a tea towel also Ryan brand ($19), a Pioneer Valley candle from Prosperity Candle valued at $26 per website (I do love the scent, it’s “Tobacco Barn” but plain glass jar candle, nothing special. And two bars of the Icelandic volcanic ash soap which are available at Walmart or Amazon for $7.94 a piece. So total value is $101 for $89 and I don’t love any of it. I thought this would be a home decor box but it’s really not. For reference I selected “minimalist with a boho twist.” I’m torn about even giving it another month. This is a really expensive box and the value and curation just aren’t there.

Wow! I hope they up their game…I just signed up for a large modern box and I would be super disappointed if I got a tea towel. On their site it says a large box gets you the life style! Not so much!

I honestly don’t know what to do. I’m not much of a complainer. I am giving it another month but I’m wondering about reaching out to her to ask about this. It seems like maybe I’m missing an item or something. When I signed up I asked her about a discount code I had that wouldn’t work. She told me I couldn’t use it on the box because “the value so far exceeds the cost” in her boxes. That clearly wasn’t the case for mine, but was for the small.

Emily,
It would be great to have reviews of the medium and large boxes as well 🙂

Thank you for reviewing the small one. Looks great.

Fun box and great review! Does it indicate whete the cup and planter are made? I couldn’t read it.

The bottom of the cup and planter don’t say where they were made, just the name of the designer. I looked on the gift boxes and the website and I can’t find info on where the pieces were made there either, just that they are designed in Sweden.

I’m relieved to see this review. I signed up for the large box a couple weeks ago and though I’ve been billed I haven’t heard a peep.
