Now, on to the items!

So Susan Cosmetics Muse Highlighting Drops in Royal – Value $35

This highlighter is a rose gold hue, with an even micro shimmer.

A little goes a long way, and it’s easy to blend, too. You can add a drop to a liquid foundation, BB cream, serum, etc., or apply it directly as a highlighter on your cheeks and browbone.

(And if you are in highlighter overload thanks to subscription boxes, this works great mixed with body lotion, too.)

jelly pong pong Eye Smolder in “Firestarter” – Value $24

This eye pencil/crayon has a subtle shimmer, good pigment, and glides on easily. You can blend/smudge easily when it is first applied, but after that, it stays put!

Trifle Cosmetics Matte Decadence in “Luxe Biscotti” – Value $18

This is a lip pencil and cheek stain in one. The berry color is matte, with excellent pigment, but I found it a little tough to blend. I’m going to stick to using it only as a lip color.

Beauty For Real Kiss Me Gloss – Value $18

This lip gloss has a built in light:

And a mirror:

I’ve never really had a need for lighting in my beauty products, but I do really like this lip gloss formula.

It has a subtle, minty flavor and no stickiness. The gloss provides a natural amount of shine, and a wash of color – perfect for a natural look.

Here it is swatched beneath the other makeup:

(Highlighting drops, eye crayon, lip pencil, lip gloss.)

And each So Susan Lip Love comes with a new makeup bag:

Limited Edition Makeup Bag – Value $12

Every month includes a makeup bag. In the past, the bags have been canvas, but this year they transitioned to a water/spill proof plastic material. I really liked the canvas bags, but I like this version even more – it’s very practical for makeup! (And it is lined inside!)

(I would love to see them send out bags with just background print, no text!)

Verdict: This month’s So Susan Lip Love bag has a value of about $107! I think that value is fantastic for a $21 ingredient-conscious beauty subscription box. All the colors work well for me this month, too! (The lip gloss is my favorite though – I love the subtle tingly mint feeling!)

If you are looking for a vegan, ingredient conscious makeup subscription, I can’t recommend this one enough. The value is great, the formulas are great, and the bonus bag is always super cute!

  1. I bought 6+1 months Lip Love sub. Really loving this bag and products which should arrive by USPS tomorrow!! Yay! My Ipsy and So Susan subscriptions keep me smiling ! 😊😀

  2. I love everything in this months sub!!!

  3. With the exception of the eyeliner, first time I’ve considered getting one because I like the contents AND the bag.

  4. Where are the products made in?

    • The site says all products are formulated in Italy. They do use packaging that’s made in China.

  5. I really love this subscription. While I don’t always use everything they send me, the things I have kept I’ve really liked. I love the messages on every bag and have swapped for more for my friends. My daughter adores the bags and I give them to her every month.

  6. I have a feeling that gloss would look amazing over the lip crayon! It’s nice seeing some lippies in non-nude/ brown based shades. 😀

  7. I have not received shipping notification yet, but yes I agree, NO TEXT on the bags. I hope So Susan reps reading our comments and hopefully they get rid of texts on the bags or go back to canvas bags.

Also, I learned yesterday from MSA forum that there is Nourish Beauty box from the same company who owns So Susan. It would be nice, Liz, if you consider it to review it. Thank you for your consideration.

      • Liz, thank you so much! That’s a great news.

        • Do you plan on reviewing the August Nourish Beauty Box? The June one looks really nice.

          • I just received August’s box early. I really love this one except, of course, the constant nail polish.

    • There are some reviews for Nourish Beauty Box on here already.
      Do a search for it!

      • Amy, I contacted them before asking where is my free bag when I sign up for 6 months sub, but there was no reply. I doubt they would listen.

    • I have been debating signing up for Nourish. I had no idea it was the same company. I think that makes it a yes for me. Thanks for the tip.

      • My major issue with Nourish is they include a nail polish in every box. I stopped buying nail polish because I never do my own anymore & I have enough already if I need to.

        • I noticed this change too with Nourish Beauty (and the fact they no longer include those cute re-usable bags). I actually love receiving nail polish in subs, but unless it’s a box like Julep, I like it to be included a little more sporadically for that surprise element. When I was subbed to Nourish Beauty I started to feel like I was getting 3 products plus a polish. Their polishes are nice though, and despite this, I would definitely re-sub to Nourish Beauty again.

  8. Mine is on its way and I can’t wait!! 😍😍
