To my surprise – I got an amazing Skybound bonus box since I subscribed to an annual subscription box Megabox! Best. Surprise. Ever.

It’s not mentioned on the site anywhere, that I saw, but it was sent with the note above about a week after receiving my Shiva Force box!

It’d be odd to get a box from Skybound WITHOUT comics!

You’ll find a few things inside!

Skybound Firsts

If you’re new to Skybound, this is a great little course in some of their titles.

It includes ten of their best first issues of comics – very cool idea! Do other publishers do this?

It includes issues from Birthright, Clone, Ghosted, Invincible, Manifest Destiny, Outcast, Super Dinosaur, Thief of Thieves, The Walking Dead, and Witch Doctor.

Honestly – I’d probably just take this as a bonus gift – but there’s much, much, more!

Extremity #1

You’ll get the Megabox exclusive variant edition of Extremity #1.

It’s a classic revenge tale in a bit of a futuristic universe.

Here’s more about the series:

Thea dreams. Not of a better life, but of revenge on the clan that ruined her family. With ferocious battles between man, machines, and monsters ahead…who knows where her quest for vengeance will take her? Creator DANIEL WARREN JOHNSON (Space Mullet) and colorist MIKE SPICER present a bold new vision, where the beauty and imagination of Studio Ghibli meet the intensity of Mad Max, in this all-new Skybound Original.

The Walking Dead Snapback Hat

You’ll get this trucker hat featuring the classic Walking Dead comic logo.

It’s one size fits all, so everyone can show off their TWD pride!

I just love this font – it will always bring me back to the classic issues that just blew me away.

The Walking Dead Mini Figures

This is a little translucent Abraham and punk-zombie.

These are also a Skybound exclusive variant for the collectors of this series!

Michonne Shirt

Yep – this is the Michonne I know and love!

The first of two shirts pull images straight from the comics! I love that it kind of maintains that black and white feeling.

The Walking Dead Walker Shirt

The final item is a second shirt featuring a blood-spatter backed zombie.

I really can’t go wrong with the comic version of TWD artwork.

Verdict: As far as bonuses go – this one is easily the best I’ve ever received – in fact, it’s on par with just a regular monthly box! I got this about a week after my first box, and it was a surprise at that (I just got a tracking email one day) – it’s a great way to get people to subscribe annually and they should definitely advertise it more! If you’re a Skybound fan and know you’ll enjoy the quarterly box – I can’t recommend enough that you just got for the annual subscription!

What have you thought of the Skybound Megabox so far?

  1. I like Skybound comics a lot, I just wish these boxes included more than just the Walking Dead items. I get it’s the most popular pop culture title they own, but 90%+ of their items are TWD. Skybound has a lot of really good titles.

    • I would absolutely lose it over a Saga box for one quarter!
