Hola Neon Liquid Lipstick in Iconic - Value $17

This liquid lip color is a metallic, golden-reddish color that goes on smoothly and dries down to a long-lasting finish. It doesn’t dry out my lips and can make it through dinner with only a little touch up needed around the inner side of my lips.

IBY Lip Liner Pencil in Berry - Value $14

I love berry color lips and this shade is great! I used the primer included this month (keep reading) first and it helped this pencil apply with great coverage and no tugging. Plus, it is water resistant so it can outlast that drink you want to sip on poolside.

Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balm in Natural Rose - Value $8

This is a great moisturizing lip balm that applies more like a creamy lipstick. It has more coverage than my other tinted lip balms but isn’t quite opaque. The shimmery rose color is a nice shade for my lighter skin tone.

Manna Kadar Prime Time - Value $24

Prime Time is a light tinted primer that can be used for under eye, full face, or, as the info card suggests, to prime lips. Here I have primer on my bottom lip to show how it looks. I used this before applying the IBY lip liner pencil and I think it helped the color go on smoother with a more opaque look.

Here are all of the swatches next to each other. From top to bottom: Manna primer, IBY lip pencil, Hola liquid lipstick, and Pixi lip balm.

Verdict: This month’s Lip Monthly was mostly a hit for me. With a value of $63, I like that I get to try new lip products for a cost of $12.95 with free shipping. I really like the berry lip liner and the primer trick will come in handy for my liquid lip colors. The Hola liquid lip felt a bit heavy for the summer poolside theme but will be a good transitional color for later in the season.

What do you think of the items in this month’s Lip Monthly? Have you found any new faves?

It has been such a wonderful experience using Lip Monthly’s service. I’ve received amazing Lipsticks and Lip Balms this and last month. I really can’t complain about anything really. I can’t wait for this monthly box and I will keep you posted. 🙂 I recommend Lip Monthly to everyone. Actually everyone in my family (girls of course) are subscribed. ^_^

It’s November and I must say I have never been happier with any subscription I subscribed before. I get my box on time and OMG the items are just amazing. This month I was so happy to try lipstick shades and it suits my skin perfectly. I love that all of their brands are cruelty free. Big Thumbs Up for Lipmonthly from me! 🙂

Check out their BBB site, they have an F rating with 36 unresolved complaints, mine included. Even their own Facebook page has tons of comments with people posting about their issues. I NEVER RECEIVED MY FIRST BAG, I cancelled. They confirmed my cancellation via email, and proceeded to charge my card $43 FIVE DAYS AFTER CANCELLING MY ACCOUNT! I love subscription companies but this is the worst I have ever dealt with….how they get away with a policy of NOT issuing refunds is beyond me. Hands down the most deceptive company with the worst customer service and the most fraudulent billing practices I have ever dealt with.

Not to mention that they delete and then block people that post negative comments on Facebook. I saw it with my own eyes. It’s a terrible company and they have done it to me. I had such a hard time cancelling and then kept getting charged anyway.

I have been subscribed to Lip Monthly for about 5/6 months now. I call what we have a love/hate relationship. I literally know their entire customer service team by their first names because I have and issuse EVERY SINGLE MONTH!

I stay with them because my love of lip products and I actually do get my bags. They take my money out on the 30th of each month (So for my 090117 bag l, they charged my account on 080117). I get my bags around the 26th-31st of each month. Horrible, I know. I do like Lil products and most months it is worth the wait.

When you email them it takes around 2 days for a reply. Replies are usually them answering a question with a question and when you email back with and answer… it is another two days before you hear from them again. THIS CYCLE CONTINUES FOR WEEKS!!!

Don’t dare think about commenting on their Facebook or Instagram about your issue or how horrid they’re treating you. They literally delete your comments! Try it yourself, not joking.
In addition, if you write a public review on your personal page about their service and it’s NOT positive (because they don’t do their jobs), they will take time out to block you from commenting/posting/or accessing their page altogether, BUT WON’T TAKE TIME TO ACTUALLY FIX THE PROBLEM.

Oh, BTW… My issue was requesting they
fix the technical issues on their website (this happens often) so I can update my credit card info and GIVE THEM MONEY! They kept telling my it was fixed and I kept sending screenshots showing them it wasn’t. They finally stopped replying to my emails until I blasted them with the screenshots via social media. Proof is on my instagram: rocklahoma22

End result: they blocked me via Facebook and fixed the issue after about a month.

Thank you so much! I was thinking of subscribing because they have a coupon for their November bag for $5 (new subscriber). I really wanted to increase my lippie collection, but I guess I’ll do it the old fashioned way, shopping!

Don’t do it! They are the worst company. I had billing and shipping issues plus a bag short an item. Each time I was contacted, it was by someone new and they kept to a script where it was somehow my fault but thanks so much for understanding. I canceled quick

Melissa W.

Robins right… they will delete your comments if negative and block you. Very poor customer service.

Hi. I’m a box addict. I love my beauty boxes. I love lip monthly bag but I’m so frustrated with the fact that they take forever to ship. They charge the first of the month but they mail the bag the end of the month. Like August box I still don’t receive it yet. I already sent them an email and they haven’t responded back.

They have great products. They’ve branched and note include one non-lip item each month. However, their customer service is the WORST I’ve encountered with any of my subscriptions!

I was subscribed to LipMonthly last year for several months(almost a year) and never had any billing issues. What I did, and what I recommend, whenever there’s a company with good and bad reviews about billing, I use a pre-paid card and only load the card with the amount that they’re suppose to charge. It’s so much easier to cancel a subscription this way too because after canceling, I also stop loading my card. I’ve also read that people cancel but the company continues charging they’re bank. With a pre-paid, you won’t have that issue. I have an American Express Pre-Paid card from Walmart.

I subscribed to them for a few months last year and had zero issues canceling when I decided to do so.

Do they have you fill out a profile?

I prepaid for the year in October the last 5 months the last week of the month I still don’t have my bag. I email the company they give me the same one time ridiculous story. They tell me they’ll make sure my bag goes out send me tracking information. A week later nothing I email again. if I’m lucky by my third time contacting the company when it’s already the next month they’ll send my previous months bag. I also bought a limited edition $39 out from them around Christmas they charged my card 11 times for the kit. When I tried to get the money back they said they never charged me despite the fact my bank provided the records showing they took $39 our 11 times. Had to dispute the charges with my bank huge never ending deal.

Thank you for modeling these, Tiffany! It makes a real difference. Most berry shades are too dark and brownish but this looks like there’s some nice violet in there.

I had an issue with Lip Monthly earlier this year. I didn’t get the March bag, did the whole contacting / “We’ll send out a replacement right away” thing a few times; got my April bag then cancelled; finally got a replacement bag in JULY. Of course it was totally different items than the March bag, but by then I was just so happy to have not lost my money.

But they do have great value, and I might subscribe again sometime when I have more money.

I wish I had gotten this bag. My Pixi & lippie were horrid colours & the primer didn’t work on anywhere.

The only item I kept was the liner.

You look good in all your shades!

I got this bag, my first in a couple of years, and was really impressed. I keep that exact shade of the Pixi balm in my desk at work — it’s my go-to throughout the workday, has been for years. I got different colors on the lip liner and liquid lipstick. Everything was super wearable for my coloring.

I wish I had gotten that berry color. This was my first month with Lip Monthly and I was pleased. Unfortunately the primer I’m not too sure about it. I used it. To prime for eyeshadow and it didn’t seem to work well at all. Ill try to use it for other uses.
