This box comes with a booklet that describes each item and how to use it. That's super helpful since some of the items don't have English directions.

Crayon Touch Me Eyeshadow: Mermaid Blue - Value $5.90

The first item this month is a triple eyeshadow palette with navy blue, periwinkle, and pearl white. I don't normally wear eyeshadow, but blue is my favorite color and matches my eyes, so I may have to try this out. The booklet specifies that the white is for highlighting, the periwinkle is for your lid, and the navy for your crease. There is some sparkle to each so your eyes look dazzling, and they include a little foam applicator.

Fuku Fuku Yu Bath Powder (Monkey) - Value $6.90 (cat version linked)

There were two variations of this bath powder, and I received the monkey instead of the cat. A bit sad for me, since I love kitties, but the booklet explains that the monkey is supposed to bring luck to my family, which definitely sounds cool. I don't think I've ever used a loose powder like this, but it's super magical! This particular red powder turns super neon yellow and orange when it hits the water and smells like sugary apricot sweet tarts! It's like taking a bath in candy!

Cucumber Body Gel, 250 ml. - Value $5.81? (similar linked)

This cucumber body gel couldn't have come at a better time. I just got sunburn for the THIRD time this summer and could use some soothing gel to slather on my lobster-red shoulders and chest. Why don't I wear sunscreen you may ask? Somehow I keep thinking I'm fine and won't get burned again while walking around outside in full sun with no clouds. I am a fool! The gel smells just like fresh cucumber and is cooling on my skin. It's not too watery or greasy, so it has minimal "ick" effect.

Lip Baby Fruits: Strawberry - Value $4.50

Lip Baby Fruits is a pretty cute name for a lip balm if I do say so myself. This one comes in a pink tube and smells like strawberry. It not only protects my lips from the evil sun, but contains olive oil, and honey as well to keep them supple and kissable.

Pure Smile Milk Face Mask - Value $1.50

Pure Smile Pearl Face Mask - Value $1.50

I noticed that there were two Pure Smile sheet masks in last month's box as well, but this time they come in the form of "Milk" and "Pearl". Unfortunately, I had a bit of an allergic reaction to a different mask from another subscription box that contained pearl extract, so I'm going to learn my lesson and steer clear of this one as well. The milk mask, however, seems like a great soothing summer mask that can help with my sun burned skin. I'll be passing on the pearl to someone who may not have the same reaction, and I'll keep the milk for myself as a substitute for putting my whole face in a bowl of milk, which sounds fantastic right now.

Cool Gelma: Peppermint - Value $4.90

So, I've used these foot pads before, and although I'm not convinced that they really remove toxins like some swear to, they are certainly pretty fun to use. These foot pads actually say that they simply remove excess moisture while you sleep through the power of geranium and reduce swelling and soreness. These were also slightly different than others I've used in the way that the herb packet and sticky pad come separately wrapped. You take the packet of herbs and stick it to the cloth provided, then stick them to the bottom of your feet, in your arch, right before you go to sleep. When you wake up, you'll see that the herb packet has turned brown and is a bit slimy. I awkwardly walked on my heels to the bathroom to remove and rinse off the bottoms of my feet. I'm not sure if I noticed a huge difference, but I did do a TON of walking this week, so I will take any soothing I can.

Verdict: My first Kira Kira Crate was pretty on point this month with specific beauty products I could use in the midst of summer. The foot pads and cucumber gel were the winners for me, but I had to tell the pearl mask to take a hike. Everything this month smelled super good and were super usable. The cost of this subscription is $29 per month and I came to a retail total of about $31 for everything. It was tough to track down some of it, but I'm pretty satisfied with the value being right on the cost.

Haha it’s insane that that packaging design was approved everytime at however many steps it takes to get a product onto the market!
