Jewelry Subscription is a monthly jewelry subscription service that sends one to three pieces of jewelry to you monthly. The number of items you receive is dependent on what plan you select.

When you join Jewelry Subscription, there is a quick survey that is provided to determine your “Jewelry Style Profile.” Styles range from classic to trendy to bold to conservative. You don’t have to necessarily select just one style; you can state that all styles apply to you so you get more of a variety of pieces! It also asks your ring size, what pieces you prefer not to get, your favorite colors, if you wear gold items, etc. This enables the curator to select something more personal for you. I opted to select bold because I am rather fond of big, statement pieces.

Also, this is not a jewelry rental service. You get to keep all the items selected for you!

I like the damask outer design on the boxes and was pleased to see how well and securely packed they were inside.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

This review is for the Bold Style Jewelry Subscription Box, $32.99 a month, three piece plan.

Jewelry Subscription August 2017 Jewelry Subscription Box

The Subscription Box: Jewelry Subscription

The Cost: $19.95 for one piece per month or $32.99 for three pieces per month. Both provide free shipping.

The Products: One to three jewelry pieces (dependent on plan selected) ranging from classic to trendy styles. (The selections are personalized to me, so you may not get the same items as I did.)

Ships to: U.S only for free. Ships the 1st and 15th of each month.

Good to Know: In addition to Jewelry Subscription’s $19.95 one piece plan and their $32.99 three piece plan, the service offers two other subscription programs: Special Occasion and Lux Ring Box subscriptions. The Special Occasions subscription allows you to select six special occasions where three items are sent to you at those times. The Lux Ring Box subscription is $24.99 monthly and sends you one hand-picked ring each month that is of at least a $75 retail value!

Silver Frost Link necklace, N/A size (retail value unlisted)

Well, when I asked for bold, I definitely got it! This necklace is anything but understated and came along with a just as daring matching bracelet. This piece has a mix of frosted and shiny silver finish on its links that contrast against each other and make it stand out. The metal material of the necklace is fairly light and is a costume jewelry piece. My neck is a bit bigger than most, so this fit me a bit more like a choker than a relaxed chain; but that actually made me like it more. This necklace is a statement piece that will jazz up a casual outfit or office wear with ease.

Silver Frost Link Bracelet, N/A size (retail value unlisted)

This audacious bracelet is so bold that it may make the necklace that pairs with it look dainty. This cuff style is versatile enough that it can pair with a laid back or elegant ensemble. Like the necklace, the material is rather light. This bracelet is difficult to get on and off, sadly. The lobster claw with the extended chain it connects to in theory seems great; you are able to adjust and personalize it to fit you however you like. In reality, it was not only hard to get on for me, but also my assistant aka cousin. I feel like a snap lock or a toggle may have been more effective options. Otherwise, I really liked the style of this piece.

Color Burst Flower Ring, size 8 (retail value unavailable)

If it glimmers and shimmers, I will probably stop dead in my tracks to ogle it. I am a bit of a sucker for a fancy cocktail ring; I have amassed quite the collection. The color scheme of this cocktail ring reminds me of later summer going into fall with its mix of warm and cooler jewels. I, personally, love the chartreuse colored gems because they serendipitously match my nail color. Go figure! The sizing of the ring is perfect and fits like a true eight. The ring band’s metal hasn’t irritated my finger thus far or changed colors, so that is also a great sign. All in all, this definitely will be a real ice breaker and conversation starting piece at any party or shindig you attend!

Verdict: Getting three pieces of jewelry for $32.99 is fairly reasonable, especially with the promo for the first month at 50% off. That is essentially like getting each item for $11 apiece. I really liked the necklace and bracelet set despite the clasp on the bracelet. The ring is definitely perfect for anyone that loves a glitzy statement piece. I would suggest to anyone that signs up to select all styles in their survey; just so they get a larger variety of selection pieces. All in all, this is a fun subscription box!

LOVE that ring. And the necklace. I’m not much of a bracelet person. They look pretty but I find myself taking them off within 2 hours because they just get in the way. I like that you can customize and have now put this on my list!

The necklace is quite striking on you. I can’t decide if this is a good deal or not. It seems to me I could get similar type pieces at Kohl’s or JCPenny for the same or less. I guess I am suspicious of the claimed retail value that they state. But please continue to do more reviews of these guys as I would like to see what else they come up with. BTW- enjoying your reviews you have an excellent sense of styling items to make them look super cute.

Thanks, Jessica! I think at least trying it at the introductory month discount the first month is incredibly worthwhile. You could get three pieces at $16.50 total! Not bad at all. Thanks for checking out my reviews, btw! It really means a lot to me!

Something about the name throws me off and makes it feel cheap to me – which I know is ridiculous. I guess for the price I’d rather stick with some of the other jewelry subs, but I do like that it’s a little more customizable than others.

The customizable options are great and I like that it can be changed up whenever you like. Also, if you don’t like a piece, they will replace it! They are very customer friendly and I think that definitely sets them apart a bit.

I feel you, Jackie. Or rather, it feels lazy. Like I feel this is how it went down:

Cofounder A: What should we call our jewelry based sub box?

Cofounder B: IDK. Jewelry?

Cofounder A: Brilliant!

I do think it’s a decent price for some costume jewelry, and I’m definitely a fan of boxes that let you customize to taste be it metal preferences/sizing/earring options. That name though is just unfortunate!

katie

LOL! You are right, lazy and unfortunate is the perfect description of the naming of this box.

That necklace is FABULOUS!!! You totally rock it. I wish I could subscribe to your reviews, as your style is right up my alley. I also love your hair and nails. Please post often!
