So many different masks to try! Each box also comes with an introduction card that explains the box’s monthly theme.
August’s SEVEN LUX box theme is social media holidays! The holidays featured are National Girlfriends Day, National Watermelon Day, National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day, Relaxation Day, National Honey Bee Day, National Aviation Day, Just Because Day. This card highlights various quirky holidays throughout the month of August, and each mask connects back to the theme for each Holiday.
An information card breaks down each mask, benefits, how to use, ingredients, and any extra information. I found this to be super helpful since this is my first time using masks like this!
NO:hj Kinema in Beauty Contour Mask Serum – Listed Value $8.00
This first mask was luxury at its best, one of the key ingredients is gold and 5 different peptides with can provide anti-aging benefits. My skin is very dry and sensitive to flare ups, which is exactly what this mask helps with. The mask had a cooling and tingly feeling the longer I kept it on, I could see this feeling great after a sunburn. My face felt hydrated and very smooth after. The only thing I didn’t love about the mask was that I had a very hard time keeping it in place.
Double & Zero My Sweet Macaron Mask with Red Fruits – Listed Value $3.50
This mask was freezing when I put it on, and it felt as though ice was on my face throughout wearing which was surprisingly relaxing. The main benefits of this mask are to revitalize, refresh, and purify your skin while smoothing out pores. My skin felt tight with some mild redness after removing. I also noticed that my pores did look smoother, and it did bring out some whiteheads where I most likely had build up. I really noticed a difference in my skin after using this mask and love seeing that it was working with my pores!
Seoul Salon 7 Minute Miracle Mask – Listed Value $4.00
This mask was so relaxing, I wish I could have kept it on for more than 7 minutes! It had a floral scent to it and was heavier than any other mask from this month’s box. It stayed on my face very well and felt as though I had a thick layer of moisturizer on. After removing, I didn’t have that tight feeling that you normally get after using a mask but instead felt extremely moisturized and clean. I have extremely dry skin to the point that I have to use a heavy moisturizer and oils every night before bed. I used this mask before I went to bed, and didn’t feel the need to add extra moisturizer after I removed. I could tell that this really worked because I woke up look hydrated and fresh, this is hands down my favorite mask of the month!
Reclari Natural Spa Firming Glove + Mask Pack – Listed Value $4.50
This is a 2 step mask starting with a cotton pad that you use over your face to lightly exfoliate and prep the screen for hydration. Step 2 is the sheet mask that provides your skin with hydration, anti-wrinkle care, and a brightener. I used this mask in the morning before applying my makeup, and wow was I pleased with the results! My skin felt refreshed, hydrated, and smooth which is everything you want when applying makeup. It seemed as though my foundation went on better and lasted throughout the day without a need to reapply. I wish I could use this every morning because it was a wonderful way to start my day!
Shine KII Honey with Nature Mask – Listed Value $3.50
This mask is made with honey and shea butter extracts to help make your skin firm and hydrated. I was excited to see that this was another 2 step mask starting with a honey eye serum (made from real honey and vitamin B5) that surprisingly really felt like honey! The serum made my eyes feel tight and lifted in a way that I haven’t felt before, bye bye wrinkles. The second step mask had a sweet smell to it that left my skin feeling incredibly clean. I had a refreshed look with the perfect amount of pink after I removed the mask. I love that this set focused on anti-wrinkle treatment for my eyes and hydrating overall.
FG Beauty Stewardess Mask Pack Business Class – Listed Value $4.00
The description for this mask really got my attention highlighting that it is recommended for flight attendants and travelers experiencing harsh weather conditions for a skin pick-me-up. I decided to use this mask in the morning, and I felt as though my skin had come alive after using! While using, I felt a cooling at the start of the mask and mild burning sensation as time went on. After removing the mask I did notice some mild redness and the light burning continued for a few minutes, nothing that I was worried about though and it went away quickly. My skin looked refreshed and I noticed that my morning skin oils went on so well, this was a really unique mask!
SNP Green Tension Calming Lifting Mask – Listed Value $5.50
A mask to lift and tighten? Yes, please! This was another 2 step mask that starts with applying 4 “dot patch” strips under your eyes, on your forehead, cheeks, chin, or smile lines as a spot treatment to brighten and tighten. As a tired mom, I am always looking for something to brighten the dark circles under my eyes, and I really noticed a difference after using these. Step 2 is the sheet mask that is meant to calm redness and breakouts. I have very fair skin which means a lot of red undertones, and I noticed that this mask left my skin look tight and hydrated with little redness. This mask is a little bigger meant to cover your neck and go around your ears, but it, unfortunately, was too small on my face to go all the way around. However, I loved that it reached my neck because that is an area that can age and dry that gets little skin care attention. The card noted that there would be a minty feeling while wearing the mask, but I didn’t get that until I removed the mask which lingered for a while as my skin tightened. This mask felt the most intense with the 2 steps to help with anti-aging and tightening. I could see myself using this once a month as I was very happy with how my skin looked after using.
Verdict: This was my first time using a sheet mask, but it is safe to say that Facetory has me hooked! I love that they have a theme each month that that masks represent, and how detailed their information card is for proper use. The calculated value of the August box comes in at $33, which is great since you are only spending $15.95 (+$3.95 for shipping) each month. With 7 masks each month, you can use them all throughout the entire month, share with a significant other, or have a ‘mask party’ with your friends! Whether you are like me and looking for masks that will help with anti-aging and hydration or if you just love trying new skincare products, this box really brings the value and fun!
