FORMOSA Pork Sung – Value $5.99

This is similar to a cotton candy texture but has the taste of meat and soy sauce. I was initially turned off by the look of it but after tasting, it’s actually pretty delicious! Not something that I’d eat every day, but I’ll definitely snack on this here and there and share with friends.

Ghost In The Shell Arise Lanyard w/ ID Badge Holder and Charm –Value $15.99

This lanyard is of great quality and is perfect for any Ghost In The Shell fans! I’m not a fan of lanyards or this character really, so I’ll be gifting this to my nephew, who will be pretty stoked about this, as he loves both!

Morinaga Milk Caramel Chewy Candy – Value $0.75? (Buy a full bag for $2.99)

I’m not the biggest fan of caramel, but I do like these! They have two of my main requirements that I look for in a candy: they’re sweet and chewy, and kind of remind me a chewy Werther’s candy.

Calbee Honey Butter Potato Chips – Value $2.99

These chips are pretty addicting; they’re not overly salty and the honey taste is nothing like I’ve had in a chip flavor before. The crunch is just right and similar to any Lay’s chip out there – I definitely recommend these!

Myojo Chukazanmai Instant Ramen Oriental Flavor – Value $2.99

I was excited to see a packet of ramen in this shipment; it’s soup based, which is my favorite and the flavoring wasn’t overly salty, which usually deters me from most ramen out there. This one was a hit in my book!

Hooei Green Tea Jelly – Value $2 (Buy a full bag for $7.99)

I did not love these! The green tea flavor was overbearing and the texture of the jelly was pretty gooey, which just didn’t sit right with my pallet.

Bing Bing cones – Value $1.08 (Buy a box of 8 for $4.30)

These strawberry cream filled cones are so fun and just the right amount of sweet. They were very delicious and I think my favorite item in this month’s shipment!

Marukawa Fusen Bubble Gum (Assorted) – Total Value $0.56 (buy an assorted 8-pack for $1.50)

I’m not the biggest fan of fruit flavored gum; I’m usually drawn to only spearmint and peppermint flavors. Nonetheless, these did taste pretty good but didn’t keep their flavor for very long.

3:15PM Milk Tea Earl Grey – Value $1.17 (Buy a box of 6 bags for $7.00)

I love milk tea, so I was very excited to see this single packet in this month’s shipment! Directions are noted on the bag and this can be prepared either hot or cold. I prefer mine cold!

FISH WELL Hot Flavor Seasoned Radish – Value $0.59

This seasoned radish packs quite a bit of heat and is very crunchy! They can either be eaten solely or paired with meats or veggies. I didn’t love these alone but after tossing a handful on some pork tacos, it was definitely a nice addition to the meal.

Zhoujunji Twice Fried Meat Seasoning – Value $1.99

This meat seasoning is meant to spice up any meal and it really does! I added to a stir fry mix I bought from the store and used this seasoning instead of the packet that usually comes with it. It was quite delicious and a nice change.

Seaweed Corn Crisps – Value $1.50 (buy a 1.4 oz. box for $3.99)

These puffy corn crisps are delicious and nothing like I’ve had before! The corn taste is very present, but not overbearing or overly salty. I definitely recommend this one to anyone who likes the texture of Cheetos and the taste of corn.

Verdict: This was my first EsianMall Geek Gamer Snack Box and I was definitely impressed by the variety of the products and how much I enjoyed some of the items! The value received was $37.60, which exceeds the $34.95 and free US shipping cost of the box paid, and I think more than fair for the fun I had experiencing the treats. I would definitely recommend this box to others who are looking to try different kinds of snacks!

  1. Seconding the recommendation to have pork sung as a topping/condiment rather than just by itself. It also makes a pretty good filling in a plain white bread and butter sandwich–this is an old “poor kids” lunch in elementary school, so it tastes very nostalgic to me. Good review with lots of pics of every item, by the way!

  2. Hi! Just wanted to let you know, most Asian families who eat the pork sung, normally has it with rice or congee. I like the red one, but they also have a blue label that taste similar but a different texture that my favorite one!
