Minimalist Gold Bar Earrings

Love these little suckers! I'm still wearing them as I type this. These are about an inch long and are solid little bars. At first, I thought the posts would be too long, but they feel totally fine in my 'lobes.

The earrings ship with a plastic tube protecting the posts. Seemed to work well, and I like that I can store them in this resealable pouch for travel.

Here it is in my ear so you can see the size, comparatively. Subtle!

There are possible variations you could have received, had you have chosen...

Young at Heart: Cupcake Earrings with Rhinestones

Boho Babe: Black and Antique Gold Tassel Earrings

Verdict: At $3.49 a month (plus free US shipping), you really can't beat the cost of EarFleek! I really like the simple minimalist earrings they sent me, and the quality is great. They were packed well, arrived in good condition, and the other styles seemed on par as well.

I signed up last month for the Boho option, and got cute little rose gold elephant studs. The tattoos were a pretty floral pattern, and I’ll probably try to apply them to a white flowerpot or something. All in all this seems worth it for a mere $4. Even if I eventually recieve one I don’t think I’ll wear, its still a pretty minimal and harmless investment. I’m looking forward to recieving my next pair sometime this week 🙂

I just got my first earrings from my subscription and when I took them out of the packaging a rhinestone popped off one of the earrings. I subscribed to Boho Babe and I got little butterflies which look like something that you would buy from Claire’s for a little girl. I am 40. I tried the one earring that wasn’t broken to see if it looked better in my ear and now my lobe is starting to itch. Maybe I am having a reaction to them.

My earfleek earrings, despite the claim they are nickel free, made my ears red, inflamed and oozy. We tested them for nickel, and they’re nickel.

Earfleek has ignored my emails and removes my posts from their facebook.

Subscribe at your own risk – if you have a nickel allergy, be very careful and test before you wear them.

Hi,
So sorry to hear this. We personally test every style we send out. If you can email us a screenshot of the pair we will retest and pull if positive for nickel. Again sorry to hear this! 🙁

Me too! They say nickel free but they are NOT 100%. I’ve been wearing earrings since I was little. 20+ years. The only metal that inflames my ears is nickel. I subbed for two months. One pair was great. One inflamed my ears so bad. So the may be trying for nickel free but they missed testing the second set I got. Nickel for sure!

I was really excited about this sub until I got my earrings. So far I’ve received two pairs (I choose minimalist but groovy) and while the packaging was good and the shipping was fast and the quality was even good the style was terrible. Both pairs look like they were for a five year old girl. I’m 34 and that just doesn’t work for me. I just canceled.

oh my gosh I have hated mine too 🙁 they send out earrings for little kids. And the earrings I got have been so cheap. I cant even wear them they look terrible. Ugh Im gonna have to cancel. sucks because i was really excited about this subscription but it has been a complete waste of money so far

Hi,
So sorry to hear this. We looked up your account and will be sending a replacement pair. We would have done this sooner but there was no cancellation reason; we hope you like this pair more!

Oh gosh! After seeing this review, I had to subscribe!

I absolutely am in love with the boho and minimalist, would never wear the “young” category/cupcakes.
I emailed CS and asked if there was a way to have it randomized between just the 2 each month.

I highly doubt it, but I figured I’d try!

I can’t wait for my first pair!!!

No sorry!

Ooh, I love those black tassels! Off to subscribe right now!

I got horrible pearl like earrings that were broken when arrived. Cancelled sub

Rene f/Earfleek

So sorry to hear this! Did you choose this as the reason for cancellation? Or email customer support? We would love to make this right!

Wow. I was expecting the kind of earrings you’d buy in a gum machine or trade for 10 ski ball tickets. And you know what? I would have been totally satisfied with that caliber of jewelry for three dollars. The earrings I received (Minimalist, rose gold toned, upside down triangles with dangly bars) are much nicer than I was expecting. It’s too soon to know how they’ll hold up to wear, but I feel like I’ve gotten earrings of comparable quality in mainstream sub boxes, fastened to a designer card, and claiming a $30 retail value.

I don’t know how these people make any money, but I’m really impressed with Earfleak so far.

Totally agree!

Thanks so much for the support and share!

Subscribed and quickly received. Sadly, not cupcakes but treble clef earrings received… still cute so I am happy!

Does anyone know if you subscribe more than once if you get the same set?

Reply ButtonReply

Rene f/Earfleek

Great question! (and by the way pugs DO ROCK!)
If you sign up under 2 different subscription styles it is extremely unlikely that you will get the same pair. If you sign up for 2 under the same style it’s still not likely as we have many styles, but there’s a higher chance.
Hope this helps.

I just got mine , i didn’t read it and picked young at heart so I got the cute little cupcakes. I wanted the boho chic. I have changed my profile so hopefully the next pair will be more my style. Still it’s a awesome subscription.

niki

Just received my first pair, they are really cute! I got the minimalist set and the earrings are little cone shaped earrings.

anDreama

Sheesh that is crazy cheap. I don’t know how companies are making profits when they’re doing stuff like this. Sending out really cheap jewelry without shipping. How does that even cover the cost of anything?
*crawls back into internet and continues to doubt everything*

Marne Orenich

LOL! Yea, I have no idea either, TBH. Those earrings were pretty substantial though, for real!

Reply ButtonReply

anDreama

I would agree that they are pretty cute 😉 my picky ears only tolerate gold, silver, or steel; I don’t like gold and steel is hard to find! So earring subs are a no for me.

Veronica

I sign up so quickly when i seen this review, that i did realize there was a discount code for the first box.

Oh no, Veronica! Did you try to contact customer service?

I signed up last night, can’t really go wrong for that price! How exciting. Anyone know when they ship and if I will get August’s ?

Reply ButtonReply

Angela

I signed up a few days ago and just got an email that mine had shipped.

Reply ButtonReply

magoosmom

I was going to sign up until I saw the reviews of people not getting theirs. I am going to wait and watch for more reviews on this one before signing up. The price point is perfect for me, but even at that price, I don’t want to not get what I’m ordering.

What is the metal the bars are made out of? Are the posts nickle free?

Reply ButtonReply

Rene f/Earfleek

We personally test every style we send out and pull off production if positive for nickel 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Marne Orenich

Hey Jillian! The posts ARE nickel-free, but I’m not sure what the rest was made of. They were a sturdy gold-plated metal though, and had a decent weight to them.

Reply ButtonReply

magoosmom

I don’t think the metal is mentioned, but the post says 100% nickel free 🙂 I’m sensitive to it so that was my first thought too!

Carrie

Those minimalist earrings would totally be my jam if I had pierced ears. Of course, even if I did re-pierce them, I still couldn’t wear them because metal allergies. lol. Oh well. A fun sub, even if I can’t enjoy it!

Looks like you can use the code ‘LAUNCH’ to get 50% off. I think I’m going to try out 2 of these for me and my daughter.

Thanks for the code! I signed up!

Looks awesome, but, of course, shipping to Australia is US$10!! How can something as small and light as a single pair of earrings cost $10 to ship?????

Reply ButtonReply

Angie

It cost me $13.75 to ship an ounce to Australia from the US. It’s not even the weight, but the thickness. It would only be $3ish if the package was less then 3/4th inch width. Over that though bumps it to package pricing.

Reply ButtonReply

nelliebelle1197

It doesn’t! I mail stuff like that to my nieces in NZ and Aus all the time and it should not take more than a small padded envelope and $4 US!

Reply ButtonReply

Jackie

TASSELS.

Reply ButtonReply

Christina

Yes!! Just signed up 😄 Hope I get those! Thanks for the review and the coupon Marne!

Reply ButtonReply

Angela

I recently subscribed to this and can’t wait to receive mine. For some reason it signed me up for Boho Babe when I signed up. I changed it after the fact. If I get those black ones it won’t be so bad, but the minimalist is definitely more my style.

Reply ButtonReply

Noelle

Wow, that’s a lot of fun for $3.50!!

nelliebelle1197
