Dia and Co August 2017 Women's Plus Size Clothing Subscription Box

Dia & Co
2.5 overall rating
75 Ratings | 24 Reviews

Dia & Co. is a monthly plus size clothing subscription box that is personally curated for you by a Dia stylist. Upon enrolling with Dia, I filled out an extensive survey asking me about my clothing size/weight/height, price range, and also my style likes and dislikes. Every month my stylist selects five pieces that could be clothes or accessories to try out. If I like them, I have the option of buying them. There is a $20 per month service fee, but the fee can be applied to any purchases I opt to make. A 20% discount is applied if I choose to keep all five pieces too!

The items in my box are chosen personally for me dependent and reflective of my style and price preference, so the package you receive from Dia & Co. may be entirely different than mine!

I am quite the fan of their trademark geometric animal print envelope. It is snazzy to say the least!

Enclosed in the stylish envelope is a lovely note from my stylist, Natalie, telling me why she selected the pieces she did for me and suggestions on how to style them.

The other form is an invoice that has a detailed list of the brand, name, color, size, and price of each item she selected for me along with the grand total after the styling fee and 25% off ( if I opt to keep all five items) is applied. The savings would be $86.75 if I did decide to keep them all. You can’t beat that price. The amount I save is like getting the clutch and the Charlotte Cowl Back Tee for free!

Candy Blouse by Sharagano Sportswear, size 3x—Cost to Keep $49

When I first opened my box from Dia & Co., this blouse was on top and I recall literally saying out loud, “Uhhh… what the heck?” I was not sure how to feel about this shirt. I love clashing patterns, but I felt like this was possibly taking it too far. My stylist, Natalie, said in her note to be open minded about this top; and as soon as I put it on, I understood what she meant. I am partial to the color orange and I instantly wanted to pair this top with my newly acquired yellow Eloquii pencil skirt. The material of this shirt is a light, polyester/chiffon fabric. It doesn’t have stretch, but the shirt fits perfectly; it’s not too snug or too baggy. I love the look of it being tucked into a high waist skirt, but I agree with Natalie that it would have looked fantastic with a pair of skinny leg jeans as well. This top is actually a strong contender in my keep pile--- GO FIGURE!?

Charlotte Cowl Back Tee by East Adeline, size 3x—Cost to Keep $45

This navy/periwinkle top is a nice basic piece with extraordinary accents. The cowl neck of this shirt drapes in a really dramatic and flattering way. The cut out that exposes the back is a really flirty and unexpected detail. I really like the slinky cotton polyester fabric blend of this shirt and how it drapes on my figure. This top will pair well with jeans and cute flats, but would also look great with a pencil skirt and heels in the office.

Emmia Infinite Stretch Skinny by RWN by Rawan, size 24—Cost to Keep $65

This is the second time my stylist has put in a pair of Rawan jeans in my box, and I must say I really love them. I only wear high waist skinny leg jeans, and these fit like a dream! The denim has incredible stretch and is so buttery soft. I usually avoid any faded or distressed jeans, but I really love this soft black/charcoal gray rinse. These may have to go in the potential keep pile as well!

Vivi Clutch (no brand)—Cost to Keep $39

If you follow my reviews, you probably have gathered that I love versatile pieces. I like clothing that can be worn for multiple seasons and I also like convertible purses that can be worn in a number of ways. With a convertible clutch like this, you are essentially getting two purses for the cost of one! This clutch can be dressed up or down for any event you attend. I also like the olive/darkened bronze, metallic matte shade of this purse; it is rather unique. The purse is deceptively roomy; it has a few zippered compartments too to keep your items securely organized. I give it an A+ for value!

Beverly Hills High-Low Wrap Dress, size 3x—Cost to Keep $69

Much like the previously mentioned Candy blouse; my first impression of this dress was “MEH.” I avoid the color brown like the plague. The only thing in my closet that is brown is a faux fur cape. However, once I put this on, I fell for it hook, line, and sinker. The fabric of this dress is an incredibly soft and stretchy cotton jersey material. The short bell sleeves and maxi length combined with the wrap style are incredibly flattering. I felt like an even sassier modern day version of Mrs. Roper from Three’s Company in this dress! Natalie really knocked it out of the park with this one!

Verdict: The one thing I really love about getting Dia & Co. boxes from my stylist, Natalie, is that she really pays attention to detail. She not only listens to my feedback monthly, but she takes that feedback and sends me pieces I would never have chosen for myself. It is allowing me to broaden my style and tastes; which is a wonderful thing! The $20 stylist fee is well worth it for such a personalized and convenient service as Dia & Co. provide! I honestly can’t wait to see the surprises in store for me in next month’s box.

I got that dress too, and LOVE it! I’ve already worn it twice. To work and on date night. I’m trying to find it online and can’t find anything else about it!

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole Rieder

Thank you, Sarah! I am so excited to wear it. I held off on wearing it because I wanted to at a cook out I am having for my boyfriend’s birthday. I tried to find it online too for this review and had no luck either!

Tanya

Caligirl

I say the whole box is a keep!

Caligirl, trust and believe me, it is going to be difficult to send some of it back. hahaha

Traci

I LOVE that dress! I received one shipment from Dia and liked half of the items but they were too $$$. The other half didn’t fit. A beautiful necklace was included as well. Within a week I was charged another $20 for shipping everything back quickly enough. That left a very poor taste in my mouth. I received a refund but I’ll stick with Gwynnie. 😉

Traci

*for NOT shipping everything back quickly enough.

Friday! LOL

Oh dang, that is pretty harsh about the $20 fee! I love GB too because of the fact you can select the items you get and also because it is a rental service. I have bought two dresses from GB since I joined in May.

I must say though, I really love Dia & Co too. The last two boxes I received from them have been perfect. I am sorry you had that experience with them. Thanks for checking out my review though, Traci!

Kim

Girl, that dress is EVERYTHING! The whole box is great but the dress is the cherry on the sundae.

Oh man, I know, right? It really impressed me! Thank you for reading my review, Kim!

Bonnie

Stop avoiding brown! It’s a great color with your hair color. I mean, I don’t think I’ve seen anything that doesn’t look great on you, but brown, especially in a print (as seen here) will always set off your coloring. You generally seem to get good fits on the clothes you model too!

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole Rieder

Thank you so much, Bonnie. After that dress, I will certainly be more open to brown. I always veer away for it for black, but that dress definitely won me over! I must say, I generally do get great items! It is hard sending stuff back, I tell ya! hahaha. Thanks again, Bonnie!

Shelby

OMG, Nicole, that dress!!! That is simply one of the best outfits you’ve shown us yet. I too would never have expected it to look so drop dead stunning on. Never let that dress go!

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole Rieder

Thank you so much, Shelby! I am strongly considering getting that and the first top. I wish I could keep the whole box! haha.

Erin

I receive Dia & Co. too and I can’t rave enough about them!!!
I have had other clothing boxes in the past, but they are the only company that I think actually takes into account your preferences…their stylists are top notch!
I love the first top and it looks great on you! I had a similar experience with a top that if I had seen it on a hanger, I would have by-passed it entirely! Once I tried it on with the pants they sent, I fell in love with it! I guess it’s safe to say don’t judge a book…lol.
I have that bag too and am in love with it!
I think you got some great selections this month and I love reading your posts!

Nicole Rieder

Erin, I am so glad you are loving Dia & Co too! Isn’t it the best when you get a piece you weren’t expecting to love like that? My first box wasn’t the greatest, but since then they keep getting better and better. I always tell people to be open minded and to give feed back when you can, it helps you in the long run! Thank you so much, Erin, for checking out my reviews! It means a lot to me!

Your stylist definitely knocked it out of the park with that dress. Must keep for you. It looks fabulous on you! Very flattering.

Thank you so much, Karen! I rarely wear long dresses if ever, but Natalie really has me second guessing that! Thank you again!

Love the floral dress on you! Great fall colors. The high-low is marvelous with the pattern. Love your penchant for sassy clothes. You pull them off so well.
Keep Natalie for sure. Great stylist.

Nicole Rieder

Karol, thank you so much! You can always guarantee on me to bring the sass!

Loba

If I would have saw that first top on a hanger – I would have screamed: “nope!”. But seeing it on you… I love it! I don’t know if it is because you are so awesome at styling things, but, man. I love the way that shirt looks on you with that yellow skirt. Somehow the patterns don’t seem too busy or clashing at all.

I also love those jeans. If you have room in your budget for those jeans you should keep them!

I love the color of that blue top and I like the cut – but, I think over your reviews I have seen so many things look out if the ballpark fabulous on you…thus feels a liitle “meh” in comparison.

I’m torn on the dress. I love that style of dress. I even think you look like a goddess in that dress. My only problem is that I’m not a fan of the color palette. But, that’s just my own weirdness – like I said you look so good in that dress.

All in all a great box.

Nicole Rieder

Loba, I always look forward to your thoughtful comments on my reviews! They always make my day!

That shirt looked so busy, but omg the orange with the yellow made such a warm color pallet. I considered pairing it with a black skirt, but yellow was the way to go! I think it would look good with the skinny jeans as Natalie suggested too.

Those jeans are so incredibly comfy. I have been getting that brand and Wit and Wisdom in a lot of my subscription boxes. I love both! They are so well made and comfy!

The blue top is definitely more of a basic piece, but if it was paired with a patterned skirt; it would really pop! They have these amazing patterned skirts like the yellow one I got from Eloquii that would look DREAMY with it!

Awe shucks! Omg, thank you first for saying I looked like a goddess in that dress! You are so sweet. I was unsure about it till I put it on. Now, I am strongly thinking about buying it! haha

My stylist, Natalie, SLAYED on this box. I really look forward to the next one she send me!

Thank you so much, Loba, for reading my reviews. It really means so much to me!
