I had the opportunity to give the ladies at Cypress & 5th feedback on my last order and so I was pleased to see that they sent me a little personalized note acknowledging what we talked about and also gave me the list of products included in my “box”. Not only did they give me the products, but they also gave tips on how to wear everything.
You will also find the complete list of products on the invoice.
Something included in every box is this postcard which gives you more information on how the packing materials used for this subscription are eco-friendly and from recycled materials.
All Occasions LBD – Value $50.00
As the name of this products suggests, this LBD is something you can wear anywhere for anything. I chose to style this with jeans and boots. I am definitely a pretty casual person so pairing this with jeans was my first instinct, but I could see myself dressing this up more. It’s a little too short for my personal comfort so this would be something I would wear when the weather gets a little cooler with tights, heels, and a little jacket.
Color Block Top – Value $30.00? (Price guess based on similar items)
Even though these colors weren’t my faves, they also weren’t bad either. The top color washed me out a little, so I think even if the colors were switched that would have been better. Overall though, I liked this tank a lot. It fit well and was long enough to cover most of my butt. They definitely listened to my feedback about my last batch of clothing being too short.
Black Marble Triangle Earrings – Value $18.00? (Price guess based on similar items)
These are definitely my style! I wear a ton of black and gold, so I know I will get a ton of use out of these. The gold looks a little cheap up close, but it’s totally fine from far away. I guessed on the price as there are no earrings on the site right now, but I think $18 feels pretty comparable to the quality.
Cat Eye Sunglasses – Value $14.00? (Price guess based on similar accessories)
These gold cat eye sunglasses are super cool. Now, the price is a total guess based on the general prices of accessories, so I could be way off. That being said, these were great but something I could have gotten anywhere. They are edgy, mirrored, and trendy. I will definitely wear these guys!
Striped Tunic – Value $45.00? (Price guess based on similar blouses)
I LOVE this top! Guys, this top is kinda my perfect top. I love tunics, oversized items, black & white, and stripes. Legit, this is the best. I was gushing when I saw it and the whole time I was wearing it for this shoot. The only bad thing about this is that it does get wrinkled pretty easily. I wore it to get my hair done and when I stood up, it was wrinkle city. It’s not a huge deal, but worth the note.
Favorite Jegging Pewter – Value $35.00
These jeggings were my least favorite item in the box. They aren’t even really jeggings because the material is as I would describe it “junior suiting” material. So it’s super stretchy, sort of scratchy, and overall pretty weird and unflattering. I will say that the rise was higher than I anticipated which was a nice surprise. Other than that these weren’t for me.
Verdict: While the quality of some of the items wasn’t quite on par for me, I really liked this box. The style was 100% me, which is pretty great considering this is only my second box! The tunic was far and away my favorite item in this box with the earrings coming in second place. I just seriously can’t believe this was such a win. The overall cost of the box comes in at $129 (which includes free shipping). The value of the box is estimated at $192 which (in my book) makes this a pretty amazing deal. I can honestly say, I can’t wait to see what they send me next month!
