Included in the box was a discovery info card that gives a little more information about each vendor featured in the box. I loved reading about each of the companies featured before diving into each product!

Bonnie Kaye Studio Thistle Cocktail Napkins, Set of 4 - Value $24.00

These cocktail napkins are made with 100% European linen, and you can really feel the quality! The thistle pattern is screen printed on each napkin and is available in other colors. Bonnie Kaye Studio donates five meals to Feeding America with every purchase they receive. I love products that give back! I'm excited to use these at my next family dinner party!

Lynchburgh Master Que Barbeque Sauce - Mild, 16 oz - Value $6.99 (normally $7.99)

This BBQ sauce comes from Tennessee and is made with, you guessed it, Jack Daniels Black Label Whiskey! Even though this is a mild sauce, you do get some hints of spice, but nothing that is too overpowering. The molasses and brown sugar help to give this sauce a little sweetness that is always a great combination with the little bit of spice. I can't wait to use this on my next batch of pulled pork!

Paddywax Verbena & Patchouli Candle, 5 oz. - Value $12.08 (buy a 12 oz. candle for $29 or an 18 oz. candle for $37 on Paddywax)

Paddywax is a soy based wax candle with a cotton wick from Nashville. I have a lot of gold accents in my house so I was very excited to see that the holder is gold, which is hard to find! The mixture of verbena and patchouli oils make this candle give off an earthy smell with hints of pine. I love scents like this because they are so fresh that you can let them burn for a long period of time without giving off an overpowering smell. I will absolutely be buying more of these!

Rogers Made Cinnamon Roll Honey, 12 oz. - Value $14.00

This is the best honey I have ever had! It is made from 100% pure honey and organic cinnamon and you really get such a strong cinnamon flavor, which is probably why they named it cinnamon roll. I used some of this on pancakes instead of syrup and everyone in my family gobbled it up. I thought it might be too much cinnamon to use in tea, but boy was I wrong, it was a perfect addition to a cup of tea.

The Shortbread Shop - Lemon Drop, 6.5 oz - Value $3.75

I normally don't love lemon in baked goods, but these lemon drop shortbread cookies were beyond delicious! As my Mom said when she tried one, "They are like butter!" The cookies have a crumbly texture to them that will melt in your mouth. You get a mixture of the lemon and sugar flavors that make these cookies from Nashville oh so divine!

Thistle Farms - Love Heals Natural Bug Spray, 2 fl oz. - Value $6.00 (normally $8.00)

I have been on a hunt for natural bug spray so I was very excited to see this! Thistle Farms blends a natural insect repellent (this is deet free) and other oils to make a non-greasy spray that really works. I am outside a lot so having this spray bottle on hand made applying super easy, and this smells so good which means you don't actually smell like bug spray! Also, this is another product that gives back, Thistle Farms partners with Ikirezi a Rwandan farming cooperative.

Verdict: This was my first time receiving a Batch box, and I must say I absolutely loved it! From the thoughtful packaging to the unique brands and products this was a unique experience from beginning to end. The approximate value of this month's Batch Family Deluxe box is $67, with the actual cost being $99 (including free shipping). There is a fairly large gap in the calculated value to the total cost of the box, so hopefully, they can add more products or a similar amount of items just at a higher price point in future boxes. Even though some of the items are currently on sale, calculating at the regular price still wouldn't bring the value much closer to the overall cost.

The difference in value aside, I was delighted by the latest box and was surprised by the lower price points for many of these items simply because they were all unique and high quality. It seems as though Batch is focused on supporting small businesses, which is something I also like to do whenever possible. Based on the packaging and the quality of each product, I think this would make a wonderful gift, especially for someone that loves discovering new brands from the South!

Looks like a really cool box with a good mix of all sorts of goodies, but with that being said the price points are really really high for what you get it seems. It’s also sad that the value doesn’t reach the cost. I mean if they want to figure in shipping then charge for it out right and lower the price of just the box. I will add that I love when a box gives back, and when boxes puts amazing brands from products that you would never of heard of otherwise.

I completely agree! This box was so amazing and I love that they feature newer brands/companies, but I was sad to see that the value was so much lower.
