Here’s the info card with a summer theme throughout the front and back of the card.
Wine-A-Rita Piña Colada, 6oz – Value $6.00 (buy a 12 oz. box for $12)
This frozen drink mix is perfect for the hot summer weather. This mix was also featured in the August 2016 Uncorked Box in the flavor Strawberry/Mango.
Here is the drink mix packet with the instructions and they suggest using Sauvignon Blanc or Riesling or for an alcohol-free beverage substitute 12 ounces of ginger ale. I opted for a white table wine.
Here I have the mix, white wine, and bowl of ice.
I mixed 12 ounces of the white wine with the Piña Colada mix in the blender until dissolved and then filled with ice and blended until smooth. The frozen cocktail was sweet and had a strong coconut flavor. I could have used more ice to give it that slushy consistency. Overall a refreshing drink for the hot California weather.
Sippin’ And Chillin’ Tumbler – Value $15.00?
This item was hard to locate. I found the matching napkins on Amazon but not the tumbler. I guessed on the price, taking into consideration the other Slant tumblers that were similar in design. This 10-oz double walled tumbler keeps drinks cold without the condensation. The front and back of the tumbler have the inscription in gold, “Sippin And Chillin” on an aqua blue, pink, and orange background. This is the perfect size to keep on my nightstand.
Sippin’ And Chillin’ Beverage Napkins – Value $4.99
These 20-count beverage napkins match the tumbler. The napkins have “Sippin And Chillin” on the front inscribed in gold on an aqua blue, pink, and orange background and the back of the napkin is white. How appropriate to have a matching set; the combination is festive and fun.
Sangria Lip Shade SPF 15 – Value $4.00
This natural lip shade has SPF 15 and some of the ingredients consist of sunflower seed oil, beeswax, coconut oil, grapeseed oil and shea butter. This left my lips soft and hydrated. This item was also in the August 2016 Uncorked Box.
Waiter’s Corkscrew – Value $9.99
This double-hinged design in the color kaleidoscopic is the second waiter’s corkscrew Uncorked Box has sent me, the last time was in the November 2016 box. These corkscrews are sturdy and work well. This comes with an integrated bottle opener, non-stick worm, and serrated foil cutter. I love the finish, so colorful.
Beach Ball – Value $1.17?
This small inflatable beach ball has the Uncorked Box name with logo on the side of the ball. What a fun and appropriate item to include in this month’s box. I based the value off of the beach balls that were similar online.
Verdict: This box marks one-year Uncorked Box has been on the market. That being said, loyal subscribers should have received an email indicating they will be getting one month free. So, make sure to check your inbox if you haven’t already received it. The majority of the items were repeats from last year with some slight variations (which isn’t bad considering it was over a year ago). With summer in full swing, the items were timely for the season. The Uncorked Box has a value of $41.15 which is above the cost of the box.
